Namjoon's POV

2 Days... It's been 2 whole days since I've seen Catherine. The incident at the concert in Chicago was upsetting for all of us. We've traveled back to New York for our show at Citi Field, and we're all super excited. Yoongi said that he's going to get Catherine out of the room today to come to the stadium for soundcheck. I hope so.

When we got back to the hotel after the show in Chicago, Catherine had fallen asleep in the van. Hoseok picked her up and she climbed onto him like a koala. He tried to take Jungkook's jacket from her but she mumbled a "no" and then buried her face in it again. When he got to her room, Bridget let them in, and he put her on the bed. I watched from the door as he tried to take the jacket again... She wasn't having it at all.

Yoongi finally told Hoseok to leave it alone. I could see the frustrated look on Hobi's face at her finding comfort in Jungkook's jacket. But she was not alright, so he needed to get over it. Getting the hint, he sat next to her on the bed and brought her into his arms and caressed her hair and spoke softly to her.

When she woke up the next morning, she started packing. Hoseok came running to get me because she was crying and packing, but not talking to him. I told him to go and shower and pack for the flight while I get Yoongi and we would go see what we can do.

When Yoongi and I got to the room, Bridget was already trying to stop her. It was like a comedy the way everything Catherine put in the suitcase, Bridget took out again... But there was no real humor in what was happening.

Yoongi asked "Bridge... What going on?"

"She won't tell me. She's not talking, but she thinks I'm going to let her go."

"Stop talking like I'm not in the room!!"

Her voice was soft and hoarse, and it sounded painful.

"Then start talking sis, or I'll talk about you like you're not here..."

"I have to go... That's all... I can't be here."

Yoongi pushes again. "Why? What happen?"

"Come on... You all know!! I can't stay! I'm bad for all of you! People think I'm..."

"Shut up!! Not care what people who not matter think!!"

Bridget warns... "Yoongi... Careful..."

"No B... Let him yell at me. I'm doing all the wrong things, and he KNOWS it."

Yoongi sighs... "Cafferine... Please... I not mad at you. I love you. We fix any problem... But you stay."

"If I stay I'm just going to become what people on Twitter say I am. And I don't want to hurt them... Or you..."

With that, Catherine dissolved into sobs and fell to her knees. Bridget rushed to her with Yoongi. They held her and let her cry. I didn't really know yet what was happening, but whatever it is, I hope we can help her through it. As I'm about to leave the room I hear something I didn't expect.

"I am such a bitch... I know he's in love with me and I can't love him back the same... Yoongi... I am falling... But not for him... He's going to hate me... I'll be the slut people think I am... I should leave before I destroy their relationship..." She a sobbing mess at this point.

I look back and see Yoongi rubbing her head, but looking at me... I know in this moment she's fallen in love with Jungkook...

"We be okay... Shhhh... It all be ok... Promise..."

I leave them like that to hopefully calm Catherine. I walk out of the room to see a stunned Hoseok. His eyes are teary... He clearly heard her saying she's not in love with him. I reach out and put a hand on his shoulder. His teary eyes meet mine, and I just give him a weak smile.

"I not give up Namjoon. She love me before..."

"Hobi... She doesn't want to hurt you..."

"I know... I not give up..."

I drag him away from the door telling him to let Bridget and Yoongi help her. We go to the common room and the other guys are there waiting to hear what's going on. I don't give them anything though. I just tell them to get packed because we're leaving in 2 hours.

When I get to my room, I send a text to Ashley. She's coming on the flight with us to get back to NYC and I want to let her know that Catherine is struggling. She calls me immediately, and I tell her what I know. She said she's packed, so she'll head to Catherine's room to help the others. We'll talk more on the plane.

When we got to the plane, a blank Catherine WAS there. Yoongi told me that Bridget had given her some medicine, and she finally calmed down. I let him know that Hoseok overheard her, but isn't giving up on her. He just nodded and sighed.

While we're talking, Jimin comes and sits with us. He seems upset, but doesn't know how to start what he needs to say. We both wait and keep talking about our schedule for the next few days.

"Hyungs... Is Cafferine ok?"

"She will be. Don't worry too much."

"Is she breaking up with Hobi hyung?"

"It's complicated... They aren't really together since the picture scandal. She's trying to sort out her feelings. Why?"

"I just wanted to know what is going on since Hobi hyung is my roommate, and friend. But I just want her to be ok. If she needs to be without hyung, then she should be..."

"We hope that whatever happens, she'll be happy Jimin-ssi. Thank you."

He nods with a smile and moves back to his seat with Taehyung.

"Joon... She's in love with the maknae... But she's scared because of what people will think... Including the members"

"Should we tell Hoseok? Help him start accepting it?"

"Not yet... She needs to tell him first. She needs to find a way to let him know they are only going to be friends."

The rest of the flight passed by fast, and we got out of the plane to a HUGE crowd of ARMY. I looked at Catherine a few times as she stayed back behind us with Bridget and Ashley. Her head hung low, and she wore a face mask. She and the girls got into a car that Ashley called so they could get out of there. I was thankful for that.

Now here we are 2 days later, and she hasn't come out of her room even one time. Bridget says she's alright, but we're all worried. Yoongi told me to go with him after breakfast to see her and talk about the job. We had spoken to PD Nim last night when he arrived, and he seemed intrigued with the idea. He wants to speak with her though. Like an interview. I'm not sure that will go well...

When we arrive at her room, the curtains are closed, and she's laying in the bed. Yoongi goes and opens them right away and cracks the balcony door to let some air in. We see Catherine looking at us with no real emotion.

Yoongi starts. "Hey... We talk... Ok?"

"Catherine. Are you able to talk with us?"

"I guess... What's going on?"

"I... Hmmm... Namjoon? You say..."

"Yoongi and I have been talking. We would like you to accept a job with Big Hit."

A scoff escapes her lips. "Like your company would hire me... They did everything to break me away from Hoseok..."

"I know why you believe that. But PD Nim is here, and he liked our idea. He would just like to speak to you."

"So he can remind me not to fraternize with the members?"

"Actually... He knows you have deep relationships with us, and it is why he's willing to overlook that rule."

"What is the job? You know I have a company of my own right?"

"Personal assistant for tour. You help us when tour happen."

"We think that you would be a real asset for us. All the members love you, and will listen to you. You communicate well with us, even though you don't speak Korean. Please consider this."

"I'm a mess... Why do you want me to do this?"

"Have you with us. We love you."

"Just think about it. Come with us to soundcheck and meet PD Nim."

"And my company?"

Bridget says something now. "Sorry to interrupt... I will keep that going with Mom. You go and have fun. Find your heart again Cath... Whoever, wherever, it is... And if things don't work out, you'll always have a home to come back to."

"Alright... I'll talk to him."

Soundcheck

Catherine rode with Yoongi and I to the stadium. When we arrived, she seemed nervous, but had a brave face on. We headed to the dressing room, and when we entered, PD Nim was there talking to the other members. Since the other guys hadn't seen Catherine in a couple days, they all shouted greetings at her.

Jimin  shouted to her immediately. "Cafferine!! You here!! I so happy!"

"Hey Cricket!"

"Cricket?"

Jimin laughed and with the biggest smile explained the nickname. PD Nim laughed and nodded towards Catherine in approval.

"Catherine. Would you talk with me?"

Hobi got nervous and wanted to know what is happening. "PD Nim... What going on?"

Jungkook's eyes were big as saucers, and the other members were confused. Bang PD did not answer Hobi, but waited for Catherine.

"Sure... Let's talk."

The 2 of them left the room and everyone pounced on me and Yoongi. We just told them to relax. Nothing bad was happening. On the inside I was nervous though. Catherine has been feeling attacked, and blames our agency for not helping. I wonder if he says the wrong things, will she tell him off?

Catherine's POV

Walking next to this man who I should be intimidated by, I can't help but smile at his cute look. He's very squishy in all the right ways. When we get to an office, he opens the door for me. I see a very tall man smiling at me, and I return it. PD Nim sits at the table and gestures for me to sit next to him. He says something to the other man, and then offers me a drink. I tell him water, and the tall man leaves.

"How are you?'

"I'm alright. If I'm being honest, it was a rough couple of days."

"How so?"

"hmmm... The Chicago concert... some fans recognized me from the picture on Twitter... They weren't very nice."

"I'm sorry you had to deal with this."

"Thank you... But I figured it was what you wanted when your agency released that statement."

"I never want you to have bad things happen. I'm sorry you thought differently."

"Ok. Thank you."

"I would like to offer you a position with Big Hit. Would you be interested?"

"I would be interested... I'm just nervous about it."

"Let's start with Hoseok. Are you still in a relationship?"

"I'll always care about him. But things aren't the same now..."

"I am truly sorry to hear that. I know he loves you very much."

"What will the rules be for me taking this job?"

"I guess we're going to figure it out along the way. We can start with a few simple ones. First, don't be photographed in public in a compromising position with a member. I know you said you're not with Hoseok, but people can misunderstand even the wrong interactions of friends."

"I can agree to that."

"Next thing you would have to be able to help the members when they travel. Get them things they need, accompany them at times, and help them communicate."

"Ok. Again, I can do that..."

"We will stop there for now. Do you have any questions for me?"

"I do, but it's not about the job."

"Ok. What would you like to know?"

"You said you didn't want the bad reaction I have been receiving, but why didn't you do anything to stop it?"

"I did offer help when Hoseok came to me. But I asked him to agree to a statement that the relationship is over."

"I understand that idols aren't supposed to have relationships... But I honestly thought your company was different, by not banning dating. I guess not."

"I like you. You are very honest. The truth is, that I want them all to have love. I just understand the business side, and why they can't be public about their lives in that way. Do you?"

"I do... I feel sad for them though."

"Sometimes so do I... But if Hoseok had agreed to give that statement, but then continued the relationship out of the public eye, I would have supported it."

"Hmmm... So you're saying he didn't love me enough..."

"Oh no. That's not what I meant at all. I'm not going to win this... He loves you still... But he knows you want to be public."

"I've never said that... But it would be nice not to hide the person I love. I would think they all feel that way."

That was the end of our conversation. I'm going to start working right away when we travel to London. I will be introduced to the managers and security tomorrow before the Citi Field show. I can't believe I agreed to this...

Walking back to the members with PD Nim I feel more nervous than before. What if they don't like this. I know Namjoon and Yoongi think it's a good idea, but what about the others? This forces me to interact with them, no matter what. Will Hoseok be ok with this?

When we enter the room the members all turn their heads in our direction. I smile at Namjoon, and he gives me a thumbs up. Jimin run over to me and hugs me like I was gone forever. I chuckle at his reaction and just pat his back.

"I guess I made a good decision."

The members that don't know what's going on look confused, but Yoongi and Namjoon smiled and nodded.

Yoongi's POV

I'm beyond happy that Catherine accepted the job. I am on my way to meet Bang PD for a drink and have a conversation. I want to know what he really thought of her, and what he thinks about some other things. I am actually looking forward to telling him about Bridget also.

I see him sitting by the bar, and when I sit down, he grins at me and starts out right away.

"She's terrific!"

"I was wondering what you thought."

"I really like her. Are you interested in her romantically?"

"Nah... But... Well others are..."

"Really? I know Hoseok... Who else?"

"Jungkookie."

"Wah... Wow... The maknae is growing up... Does she know?"

"Yes... In fact she liked him first. But you know Jungkook... He was so shy, and Hoseok wasn't."

"And she has feelings for Jungkook?"

"Yes. I believe she's in love with him... But she's scared."

"hmmmmm... Does Hoseok know?"

"No. Not yet. She hasn't even told him that she only wants to be friends yet. It's alot after all she has been through."

"I feel really bad about the things that have happened. Namjoon told me that someone shot a gun at her. That is not right... I hate that these things happen. You know that Yoongi."

"I know... I should tell you something else."

"Oh?"

"I'm falling in love."

"Who is the lucky person?"

"Nice inclusion... HER name is Bridget and she's Catherine's best friend."

We spoke for a few more hours and drank quite a bit. He's always been like a father to me, and I'm happy to say I can't wait to introduce him to Bridget tomorrow night.
