I Love You, Jiminshi

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Author's POV

"Woah, you really cooked this?!" Jimin asked, mouth wide agape as Jungkook crackled and put the older male down on the chair before going to the other way to sit on his seat that was positioned opposite of Jimin who was still peering over the Korean food he cooked.

There are two slices of newly grilled marinated beef on their plates, along with spicy sauce and black pepper sauce in tiny bowls that were placed beside it and also, freshly washed vegetables placed under the meats; giving it the delicious looks as Jimin sniffed near the dish; letting his nose be greeted by the smell only to heard his stomach grumbled for the second time.

"You better eat it than smell it, sweetheart… That stomach of yours is getting mad." Jungkook joked which made Jimin look away; feeling embarrassed by the fact the other heard the sound too as he held his stomach before slightly tapping it; silently cursed at it for behaving so carelessly as if the body parts could answer him back. But unexpectedly to his surprise, his stomach grumbled again, turning his face completely red like cherries as he heard the other giggled.

"Yeah, probably I should." Jimin said awkwardly and scratched his nape before starting to cut the steak slowly. Though the beef is already well cooked and there won't be any blood coming from it, he is still scared to hold the knife because of the vision he had earlier. It's been three weeks since they started dating, yet he never ever had a dream about killing the younger. But then, right after imagining marrying the other; he immediately had the nightmare.

Jimin truly believed it was not only a reverie but a hint...

To walk away…

Undoubtedly he doesn't want to leave Jungkook again like what he did to the younger back in the college times but he couldn't do this anymore, he's scared… Not that he is only afraid that the younger will leave him, he's afraid too that he will make the younger leave the world FOREVER. Though Jimin doubts he will do anything to Jungkook because all of him loves the younger; the illusion he received was enough for him to take a step back; he couldn't take the risk.

He knows… once he could imagine, he could do it. Simple as that.

But again, he couldn't leave Jungkook. Even imagining being away from the male again was enough to break him. He didn't have enough strength to face what he endured just like the times when he comes to Spain. He would get drunk every day in the hope the younger will get out of his mind. And even if he is already inebriated, sometimes the image of Jungkook is still stuck within himself; reminding him why he's in that state. And oh yeah, it was all because of Jeon Jungkook… the person he wanted to run away yet pulled closer.

But what if this time… He didn't walk away but instead, make the other to?

Seems like a great idea for Jimin.

But as he was thinking of stopping whatever they have here, Jungkook on the other side was thinking of taking their relationship to the next level…

It's been three weeks since he started to court the older and yet, not once did he say 'I love yous' or anything related to making Jimin his boyfriend. He's scared by the answer but as their relationship grew, Jungkook acknowledged that maybe it was already time to say the word. The older will give a positive answer in return... right? Besides, he already has all prepared.

So with a mental assurance, Jungkook cleared his throat with a smile, catching Jimin's attention as the older glanced at him with a sad gaze; almost making him frown as he opened his mouth to ask what's wrong but ignore the idea when he remembered his main intention. He took a mental note and decided will ask that later… when he already become Jimin's boyfriend. That sounds more right.

"Can we go out later? To the Han River?" He asked excitedly as Jimin couldn't help but to smile a little bit, feeling his heart warm by the cute view in front of him. It makes him not wanted to look away but nevertheless, he forced his eyes to blinked; cutting off the scenery. "What for? We already have dinner right now…" He replied plainly as he continues to cut the beef while not once sparing a glance to the other and even so, he could still feel Jungkook's precious gaze on him.

"It's a surprise!! You'll that once we get there!!" Jungkook declared and it was enough to make Jimin's eyes watered; making the sight of the beef he was cutting blurred by his tears. Jungkook is happy, you can hear it evidently in his voice when he spoke. Yet the older did nothing, Jungkook was still happy just by being around him which makes it more worst. Why?

Because Jimin knows… He will miss that later.

He will miss the way Jungkook look at him, he will miss the way Jungkook wiped his tears, the way Jungkook hold his hands when they walked through the crowd, the way Jungkook kissed him on his forehead, the way Jungkook spoke… All of it. He will miss the other appearance like crazy. But even so, he rather not having the younger instead of taking the risk. At least that way, Jimin knows his lover is safe. Away from the danger that was built in him.

"Y-yeah… But I need to go home first. I wanted to wear something special." He mumbled stuttering, trying so hard to not let his tears fall as this caught Jungkook's attention which he frowned upon, and held out his hand under Jimin's chin before slowly turning it upfront towards him. "Why are you crying, Sweetheart?" He asked as Jimin moved away from his touch and wiped his tears using the back of his palm before displaying a smile that didn't reach his heart.

"Ah, nothing!! This beef… It tastes so good until it makes me cry." He giggled as Jungkook smiled in return; feeling proud of himself for cooking the simple dish for his love; totally unaware of the lies that lay between. Well, maybe because Jimin was such a good liar after all…

"Aww, that's cute. I'll cook for you again… Don't cry, my sweetheart. I'll drop you off after this, then we can go there…" Jungkook explained as Jimin could only nod before continuing to look down; hiding the shiny eyes from the angel in front of him. Truly, it hurts…

"Are you sure this is the place?" Jimin asked as he glanced around where the Han River is in front of them. It is dark… Shouldn't there usually be many couples walking around? Where are they? There is no one here. Almost like it was abandoned.

"Yeah, this is the place. But first of all, close your eyes…" Jungkook mumbled from behind, as he hummed and let the younger one cover his eyes using his hands. "Ready? You would love it!! Well, I hope so…" Jungkook giggled as Jimin could only smile before nodding; not wanting to say anything as he was too nervous about it. Clearly, he trusts the younger and he's sure he would like the surprise either way but something about the breezy wind running through his hair surprisingly makes him anxious.

He felt like he wanted to run away…

"Let's go!!" Jungkook whispered and pushed Jimin forwards slightly as the older held onto the younger's arms that were cupping his eyes. At first, Jimin didn't feel anything but the further he walked, he started to feel some kind of heat and lights… Was it fire? Or those sellers' shops? He couldn't tell but he trusted Jungkook enough to feel even hesitant for a moment.

"Now, wait until I ask you to open your eyes. Don't cheat!!" Jungkook joked as Jimin mentally rolled his eyes before giggling, feeling eager to see what it was but nevertheless still respected the other's wishes and complied with it. He nods and a second later, he feels Jungkook's presence behind him gone; leaving him cold and alone. Jimin bit his lower lips as he forced his eyes to close, he felt extremely nervous and surely he didn't like it because his guts were telling him to run away but from what…?

"Now, open your eyes…" He heard Jungkook say as he slowly, painfully opened his eyes only to cupped his mouth by the view in front of him.

There, a bunch of roses was decorated over the sand; making it turn into a big heart as candles surrounded the shape while Jungkook stood in the middle with a smile and a bouquet of roses in his hands… Yes, it was simple, very simple for someone who is wealthy but for Jimin, it was enough. Enough to make his hazel eyes drown in his own tears as he looked down embarrassed; thinking what did he do to deserve all of this?

It touches him… He couldn't accept the surprise.

"W-what are you doing, Jungkook?" Jimin asked, stuttering as now the tears started to fall; wetting his cheeks before landing on the sand. He watched the younger smile brightly, showing the precious bunny teeth before Jungkook started to walk out from the heart shape carefully and moved towards him while holding out the roses.

"Here, this is for you, and please… Why are you crying? I haven't even started yet!!" Jungkook whined when he saw the older male crying, leaving Jimin no choice but to wipe his tears away and hide his sadness by plastering his lips with a fake smile. "Look at the river…" Jungkook suddenly whispered as Jimin glanced to his right only to frown upon the scene.

There are some kinds of lights under the water…?

It was engraved with some words but Jimin couldn't really understand which made him move closer, trying to figure out the sayings. And just when he's about to complain to the others about it, the lights start to shape under the water; letting Jimin read it clearly.

'사랑해 지민이' (I love you, Jiminshi)

Immediately, he cried there; dropping his knees on the sand.

Jungkook who was surprised by the sudden behavior immediately rushed to Jimin; taking the older face by his hands as he looked at the other worriedly. "What's wrong? You didn't like it?" Jungkook asked softly, though he was scared to know the answer, he still took the risk and waited for Jimin to say something about it which the older kept silent for a moment.

"N- no… I love it so much, Kookie…" Jimin mumbled and glanced at him with his crescent eyes displaying not happiness but total sadness which again, didn't go noticed by Jungkook who was fooled by the smile he expressed on his lips. "Aww, don't cry… I'm glad you like it. You're making me nervous for a second there." Jungkook joked as he wiped Jimin's tears away smoothly; didn't the scenery in front of him.

Despite the fact that those are happy tears– or at least that's what he thought so– Jungkook still didn't want to see Jimin in a crying state because it makes him pessimistic.

"Now the last thing I wanted to show you…" Jungkook mumbled as Jimin widened his eyes, thinking the surprise already ended as he slowly got up with the younger; getting ready to see whatever he needed to after but got confused when the younger suddenly held his wrist before placing it on his chest area; letting Jimin feel his heartbeat.

"I can't show you what is inside but I can tell you that you're in it… I love you, Jimin and I don't want to wait anymore. I want you to be mine… I wanted you to be my boyfriend. Are you willing to?" Jungkook announced and instantly, Jimin heard his heart shattered by the question and tears started to surge at the bottom of his hazel orbs.

He can't.

No matter how much he wants to say yes, there is only one option left for him.

"Say s-something, sweetheart…" Jungkook stuttered, wondering what was going on in Jimin's mind as he opened his mouth to ask again when he received no answer but immediately sealed his mouth when Jimin pulled his hand away from his heart; making the reply obvious.

"No."
