I Needed To Leave Him

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Author's POV

"Spit it out." Jungkook was the first one to break the silence between them as he gazed at SeokJin who was calmly sipping his hot latte. They are sitting inside an unknown café that was found near the hospital. The area was quiet because no one except for them was there...

"I know you cheated on Aíden's back which is not my problem so I don't care. But I do care when it involves Jimin too." SeokJin started as he put down the warm cup in his hand on the rounded table in front of him while his voice remained strict, showing how serious he is about this. Though he knows that deep inside Jimin could be the one who started all of this, he still needed to end whatever relationship they have here.

He noticed.

Ever since Jimin started to work for Jungkook, or in other words; live with the young man, his mental health has become worse than ever. You can't tell him it is not Jungkook's fault Jimin turned like that because hell it is. They had lived in Spain for years and nothing had happened, instead- Jimin was healing. And even after they came back to Korea two weeks before they met at the party, the male was still in stable and good condition.

He started to act again after meeting with Jungkook so SeokJin figured it out and decided to part them away. For the sake of the male's health. And for the sake of everyone around them.

"I don't know what is your relationship with Jimin now and I don't wanna know but I just wanted to tell you that it's better to stop. I don't care if you love him or anything, stop making any contact with him-"

"Pft- I'm sorry hyung, but that's not your place to decide. I'll leave Jimin if I want. You don't need to tell me what I needed to do." Jungkook cut him off rudely, feeling anger rising inside him just like when NamJoon discussed this issue with him. Why does anyone badly want to tear them off? Can't he just live the way he wants to? Why is everyone so busy with his life? He's not a kid anymore.

"You don't get to choose, Jungkook." SeokJin protests coldly, trying hard to not just burst out and spill all of Jimin's situation. The only reason why he didn't do that yet, is because Jimin didn't want him to tell anyone and he was left with no other choice but to comply with the words. He didn't blame the other though, he totally understood why Jimin asked him to keep it secret and he respectfully obeyed with the wish.

"I get to choose, hyung. I love him." Jungkook stated firmly.

"Did he love you back?" SeokJin dead-panned, knowing this question will hit Jungkook in the face like a truck. And judging by the new facial expressions, he could tell that well- maybe he said it too harshly. There, Jungkook was glaring at him as his face was now red along with his neck; showing how the simple question affects him more than people thought.

He's mad.

So mad...

But apart from that, there's somewhere inside him that is aching...

His heart.

It was aching because he knew the answer to the question. He knew it too well.

Of course, the answer is always no. Jimin doesn't love him, that's not even a surprise anymore. But it still amazes him that every time he remembered the fact, it would hurt him and eventually kick him to the darkest pits of his heart and wonder, why did it need to be Jimin? What about the male that no one got? Pretty? Many people are much prettier. Then was it his behavior? Oh, Aíden is far away better.

He just doesn't have the reason why he falls in love with the older.

Yet there he is, falling deeper and deeper to the point he found himself drowned in the ocean. Jungkook didn't know a question could hurt him so much until that day, where he found himself crying because of it. Say he is weak, say he is pussy, or whatever you always say to a vulnerable man. Jungkook didn't care because at the end of that day it was the fact. He is indeed weak to Jimin.

"Look- I know you love him and you don't want anything from him except for his heart but Jungkook, that's the only and one thing he couldn't give to you. Learn to let him go, okay?" SeokJin explained softly, feeling guilty for asking the question earlier without thinking about Jungkook's feelings first. Is not that he hates the younger one or whatsoever, he really thinks they match with each other but if separating them will heal Jimin like when they're in Spain, then he will do it. No matter what it takes.

Besides, Jimin has been suffering from it for years... SeokJin wants nothing other than to see his genuine smile again.

"Why did you say that? Why can't he love me back?" Jungkook asked in confusion, his attention clearly on when the older said that Jimin couldn't give what he wanted as SeokJin sighed out loud at the question; fighting with his inner demon that saying, he should say what is this all about. But then again, that's not his place to tell at all. He isn't even sure if Jimin wants Jungkook to know about his unstable condition. He doesn't want the other to feel betrayed or something.

"Wait! Is this somehow related to what happened to Jimin? Those wounded hands? Is that what it's all about?" Jungkook asked; couldn't help but feel those situations related to each other. Though it sounded hella crazy, he still believed his guts and dared to ask SeokJin if what he assumed was true. He was more convinced when the other didn't reply, instead, looking away; as if it was telling him yes in silence.

"What is it? Please tell me, hyung..." Jungkook begged. This situation is making him dizzy because there are too many questions that still have yet to be answered in his mind. If he was right about all of this related to Jimin, then there's definitely something wrong with the older one. After all, this is not the first time he saw Jimin's bandaged hands. He noticed the male's hands were injured on the second day of their photoshoot-which is three months ago-but being the coward he is, he never asked the justification behind it.

But now that Jimin was admitted to the hospital, he couldn't hold it anymore from asking. It shouldn't be like this in the first place. He planned to leave Jimin but not in that kind of state. Not when there's differently something wrong with the older that yet he discovered about. He couldn't.

"Look Jungkook, what's the point of knowing what his problem is when you're not even going to be there for him?" SeokJin asked, breaking Jungkook who was in deep thought as he changed his gaze from the floor to the other with confusion clearly spread across his face with the question. "What's that supposed to mean? Of course, I'm going to be there with him. If I'm not then I wouldn't take the risk of cheating in the first place." Jungkook explained and watched the older one sigh out loud as if he wanted to tell fuck off already.

But no. Jungkook will not give up. When he raised questions, he expected them to be answered. And now, the question is what's wrong with Jimin.

"You are not going to be there for him for fuck sake!! Jungkook, wake up!! Look around!! You have a goddam fiancee and you will soon marry him!! You will have a happy life and what bullshit!! You ain't gonna be there for Jimin, don't you understand?!" SeokJin burst out, as he stood up facing the younger; feeling tired of this conversation that is not going anywhere. His request is simple; leave Jimin alone, was it so hard to do it without asking further? Why does Jungkook need to know if at the end of the day it won't make any changes? If at the end of the day he will get back to Aíden? He found it so useless to tell it all to Jungkook.

"If you love Jimin so much as you claimed, you wouldn't even think about cheating behind Aíden. Why?! Because you will never let yourself be shared in the first place!! And moreover, if you love him so much, you would take him out for a date to get to know him more!! Not having only sexual intercourse with him-"

"I did that already!!" Jungkook cut him off by yelling at SeokJin, catching the other off guard. At a time like this, he didn't care if anyone recorded their argument and shared it with the media to wreck his reputation. He was tired, tired to be the only one who gets all blamed. Yes, he knows that most of this cheating is his fault but why is everyone angry at him as if he was the only one into this? Why can't they ask Jimin to leave him? It surely will be easier considering the fact the older one didn't even love him in the first place.

"I asked him to date me... But you know him, he refused it right away. Saying he didn't do things like that." Jungkook mumbled as he felt his eyes getting hot as soon, his view blurred; indicating he was about to cry. Normally, he will certainly wipe it away, not giving any chance for people to see how vulnerable he is. But that time, he let it be. He was too exhausted to impersonate as if he was fine; as if he was tough; as if all of this didn't affect him physically and mentally.

"Pft- even though you asked him and he refused, you still didn't break up with Aíden..." SeokJin protested as he glanced at Jungkook and noticed the younger one was looking down, with tears falling out from his eyes continuously which he shrugged off and turned away; leading the direction out of the café but stopped halfway.

"Maybe you do love him, Jungkook. But the only difference is that you don't make an effort to show that to him." With the last saying, the older head out; leaving Jungkook crying at the seat all along who couldn't argue but to agree with the male words. SeokJin is right all along. If he loves Jimin so much he wouldn't even put together this relationship behind Aíden for three months. If he loves Jimin so much, he would put action to it, prove it.

But he didn't.

"Do I really love him...?" Jungkook raised a question under his breath, doubting his feelings for the older. Everyone can say 'I love you' but not all of them really know and feel what love is and unfortunately for Jungkook, he really didn't know what truly is it. Is what he feels is love? Or what he feels all the time is nothing but an obsession? How do we even know if we actually love someone?

Jungkook closed his eyes, feeling his head dizzy by the number of problems in his head that keep emerging one by one. He needed to know what's wrong with Jimin and he needed to know whether he really loves the male or not. If he really does then he needs to make an effort, if he doesn't as SeokJin stated; then he needs to move on from whatever feeling he felt at that time.

It's the only way... Or not, this problem won't be solved and he will be stuck in this situation.

Forever.

With a deep breath, Jungkook closed his eyes as his face upwards; feeling the ceiling lights reflect on his skin, warming his face.

"I need to leave him." He mumbled and faced upfront before opening his eyes with determination buried deep inside his heart. It's now or never. In between the three of them, it was destined that one will hurt; they couldn't run away from this. It will either be Aíden, him, or Jimin. With that, he stood up and grabbed his car keys before heading out of the café; not forget to put enough cash on the table to pay the bill.
