Came To The Wrong Person

Author's Pov
Jungkook is quiet...
Too quiet for Aíden's liking.
Usually, the younger would never be like this. Almost like he turned to mute. When he asked Jungkook, the other will only reply with yes or no. It also gets more frustrating when he asked the younger if there's anything wrong but he only gets silent treatment after then.
"Jungkook..." He called out, grabbing the younger's hand who flinched by the action. Now that was extremely weird for Aíden... Jungkook never ever flinches by his touch before. He knows that Aíden is the type of affectionate so it's usual of him to do skin interaction so why now?
"What's wrong? I asked this many times already Jungkook-ah..." He spoke softly, giving the last energy of him to convince Jungkook to actually talk and tell him anything that happened that makes him like this. "Huh? It's n-nothing." He said stuttering, a soft smile plastered on his face at the end but Aíden noticed it. He noticed the way Jungkook slowly pulled his hand away from his grasp; showing clearly there's something wrong but the younger didn't want to tell him.
A certain memory flashed inside his head, breaking his heart by the action. He couldn't help but remember his ex-lover, André. The male did exactly like what Jungkook just did. Pushing him away, not wanting any skin interaction nor spending time with him. And when he asked why, the other will just shrug and go to work and come home in the middle of the night.
Yes, he should have doubted it from the very first night.
But he didn't.
Too lost or in other words, too preposterous in believing the idea of André loves him. Not knowing it was lies all along.
His gaze landed on Jungkook. He knows he shouldn't feel like this because the younger is completely different from André but he couldn't help it. He believes the younger so much but there's an inch of him doubting the younger's loyalty. 'He wouldn't do that Aíden... Let it pass. André is nothing compared to Jungkook.' He stated in his head, convinced.
Or more like– convincing himself.
But of course. That didn't work. A soft sad smile plastered on his face, feeling guilty for thinking bad about Jungkook even though he couldn't help it. "Querida, are you okay?" Jungkook asked worriedly, breaking Aíden's thoughts as he shook his head and smiled again before continuing their dinner; decided to not answer what the younger just asked. He didn't want Jungkook to disappoint with the fact he doubt him but he also didn't want to lie to the younger.
So a choice that is left for him is to keep quiet. With that, no one will be disappointed and certainly, no one will be lying.
You might wonder what's wrong with Jungkook right? Well, this... Ermm– cheater, is feeling guilty for what he had done. He thought that he will be fine as usual even after he had an affair behind Aíden's back but when he faced the older again; he knows he couldn't. There's this feeling around him that chased him; reminding him what sin he had done in the office that morning.
A sin he will never get enough from doing.
"Excuse me. Need to use the bathroom." Aíden suddenly said, breaking off Jungkook's thoughts who only nodded at the statement; watching the other walk away but failing to notice the tears of Aíden's green eyes. He sighed out loud, wondering why he couldn't find peace in his heart. He said he wanted Jimin, he wanted to taste the older again and he got it a few hours ago.
But then why...? Why does he feel empty?
He got what he ever wanted so what's the problem?
Sounds of clapping and cheering broke Jungkook's thoughts as he glanced around, searching for the noise; wondering what is it all about. Soon after, his doe's eyes fall on a couple who table not so far from where he sat. There, a man kneeled down in front of a beautiful woman with the familiar marron box in his hands.
Jungkook is not that stupid. He didn't take much time to know what is it all about. The man is proposing to the woman with a wide smile on his face. Not to mention how the other also got happy tears in her eyes, clearly touched by the action. "They're so happy..." Jungkook mumbled under his breath, watching the female saying 'yes' to the question as the male didn't waste any time than to kiss her; earning cheers and claps from guests who were watching the scene.
Unexpectedly an envy sensation filled Jungkook's heart, making him look away from the happy couple. Not only jealous but a part of his heart aching painfully, knowing well that happy moment will never come across in his life's chapter. And even if it does, surely it's not the person he wanted all along.
Surely it's not Jimin but Aíden. Or maybe someone else he didn't love.

A loud ring echoed Jimin's house, indicating someone just pushed the bell button; interrupting the TV show Jimin was watching with SeokJin by his side. "Who is it, Minnie?" SeokJin asked as Jimin just shook his head cutely, answering the older silently. He glanced at the clock that was hung against the wall and saw that it's already passed midnight.
He furrowed his eyebrows in curiosity, wondering who appear at his house on 1 in the morning. "Let me check who is it, Hyung... Wait here!!" Jimin stated and giggled a little bit when SeokJin glared at him for those popcorns he accidentally let go of when he was watching the show. Jimin put the bowl of popcorn on the tiny table in front of him, before making his way towards the door.
He grabbed the doorknob and pushed it down open before pulling the door, surprisingly meeting with a sight of Aíden; tears continue to fall from his green a little bit red eyes, make-up smeared, face completely messed up. "Hey... What's wrong?" Jimin asked worriedly and grabbed the other's hand before pulling him into a hug; knowing well that is what his best friend needed for the time.
There, Aíden sobbed in his neck; unknowingly breaking Jimin's heart a little. "Shh, calm down... It's okay." He whispered softly to the other, brushing Aíden's back with his palm; knowing this way will make his best friend stop crying. "Aíden, why are you crying? Come inside..." SeokJin spoke, appeared behind Jimin as he glance at the younger and gave a nod; watching Jimin walk to those couches with Aíden still hiding his face in his neck.
"Sit here, I'm going to get a glass of water." Jimin stated before leaving Aíden on the couch; making his way towards the kitchen as SeokJin sat opposite of Aíden, gazing at him with curiosity but didn't ask any questions. After a minute, Jimin come back to the living room; bringing a glass of mineral water along in his hand as he hold it out to Aíden and watched; the male hesitate but nevertheless took it.
"I can't. I can't take it a-anymore..." Aíden spoke, catching Jimin's attention who immediately sat beside him; wanting to know more about what's going on. "What do you mean by that Aí?" SeokJin raised a question, watching how Aíden cupped his face as if he wanted to avoid crying again. "It's about Jungkook." He spoke as SeokJin widened his eyes and glanced towards Jimin who was now staying still; face upfront with no emotions displayed.
"Shit." He cursed under his breath, watching Jimin cupped his chest before blinking multiple times. Even though by that action, SeokJin could already feel the different atmosphere around them.
"So~ what about him Aíden?" Jimin asked deferentially, as he leaned his back on the couch to cross his legs together while his hand spread. Aíden who was whimpering was now stopped crying by the question– probably realizing the demeanor changed but decided to shrug off. "He started to act the same as André. He started to avoid my touches. Not to add, he was extra quiet today..."
"I know I shouldn't have doubt hin because André and Jungkook is not the same person but I couldn't help it. There's an inch of me questioning his loyalty." Aíden explained to them and watched Jimin nod slowly before holding out his hands to hug him again. Being the kind and innocent angel he is; Aíden immediately leaned onto the touched, hiding his face in Jimin's neck but completely unaware of the famous smirk spread across his best friend's face.
"It's nothing Aíden... We all going to reach a point where we doubt our partner. The feeling is a must for every person so that we won't get too attached. Imagine if you believe the person so much but at the end of the day, they cheated on you. Wouldn't that be more hurt?" He clarified, now caressing Aíden's hair softly as his gaze stayed still on SeokJin who gave him a scared facial expression– probably knowing who is in charge that time.
"But I don't want to doubt him, Minnie. It makes me feel guilty about it." Aíden explained as Jimin rolled his eyes before pushing the male away; making few spaces between them. "As I said, Aíden... There's nothing wrong with doubting your partner a little. It's not like you questioned his whole devotion. Just a little bit of doubt is good." He explained again, trying so hard to assure the other but of course, he knows it won't do anything. Moreover when Aíden is such strong-headed.
"How about this... I watch him out for you? It's easier since I work one building with him." Jimin asked as Aíden immediately lit up, successfully failing to suspect the man's words. "You're right. You work with him in the same building. So if there's anything suspicious, the company workers will know first. Oh, that's a great idea Jimin!!" Aíden spoke out, a soft smile spread across his face.
Yeah, yeah. I know... Some of you might be angry at Aíden, saying he didn't trust Jungkook enough but think on it again.
"Of course... It's a great idea, Aíden." Jimin said mockingly and glanced to SeokJin who clearly didn't like the interaction just now. But unfortunately for Aíden, he failed to notice the lucifer wearing a beautiful man mask sitting beside him. He failed to doubt Jimin's intention behind his offer. He failed to see the famous dirty smirk Jimin displayed along the time they talked.
He failed and failed again miserably.
Jimin grinned evilly at SeokJin, watching the older shift his posture uncomfortably; clearly know what he meant even though he didn't say it with words. SeokJin is not blind nor stupid to see what Jimin thinks inside his head. He knows that Jimin is planning something but the only thing he can't be confident of is the bigger picture of it. Knowing the younger, Jimin could be planning millions of ideas inside his head at that time.
"It's already night. I need to go. Promise me Jimin... If you see anything suspicious, tell me. I can't face the same history. It hurts." Aíden stated softly, eyes starting to water again. Yes, he loves Jungkook with all of his heart but he didn't want to be a fool like he was for André. He can only hope, Jungkook will prove him wrong by the end of the day.
"I promise you, Aí. Now let's go, I escort you to the door..." Jimin mumbled with a lookalike angel smile on his face, holding on to the other's hand as the three of them made their way to the exit.
"That offer. There's something else behind it. Isn't?" SeokJin raised a question as they both watch Aíden's car drove away from the window. "You're clever, hyung," Jimin mumbled and patted his shoulder before walking away; leaving him stunned by the fact he's right all along.
"Whatever you planned on to do Jimin, better stop it. You will regret that later on." SeokJin warned him, watching the other stop walking in the middle of the stairs, making him gulp; scared a bit. "It was all game, hyung~~" Jimin whispered wickedly before continuing his walk and going straight into his room; leaving SeokJin who unconsciously bit his lower lips. Clearly, worried for the younger.
What Jimin could possibly do?
