"No"
Jin yelled as he ran towards them. Taehyung put the girl on the ground as Jin fell to his feet. She was indeed dead. Blood had dried on her clothing and the soul had left her body as soon as they returned to earth. He could feel it. The body was just an empty shell now.
"NANA NANA WAKE UP. DON'T PLAY TRICKS LIKE THIS ON YOUR FATHER PLEASE", he cried as he shook her body. He was delusional right now. He refused to believe she was dead. Jimin too was stunned to make a move. He looked at Yoongi who just nodded at him, tears rolling down his own eyes. He had to balance himself to stop falling to the ground.
His sister, who he had always wanted to be with was dead. Who he had planned to spend the remainder of his life with and to grow old with wasn't there anymore. His sister had left him.
"Appa", he said just one word as he hugged the man who was crying on the floor beside the dead body. Jin hugged Jimin tightly as he sobbed in his son's chest. Their family was broken.
Taehyung had become numb. He couldn't feel anything inside and around him. He felt dead even more than what he already was. No amount of wailing of the others reached his ears. He just wanted Nana. He refused to believe that she left him.
Yoongi bent down as he hugged the crying Jimin. "Its okay. She is in a better place now", he whispered in the younger's ears. But Jimin didn't want her to be in a better place. He wanted her right here beside him, annoying him and teasing him for his height.
The tears finally stopped rolling down Jin's face as he stood up. Harshly wiping his cheeks and taking a moment to calm himself, he scooted by her. He bent as he kissed her head and then her cheek.
"Find your way to heaven my daughter. May you have peace there. Be where your mother is. She will take care of you"
With that he broke down into a cry again. He felt a surge of emotions. Anger and bitterness at how unfair the world was. Disbelief that his child was taken away from him. Intense shock and confusion because all of this seemed way to bad to be real. And an unexplainable fear of what the future might hold. A future without his daughter.
Hoseok removed the dagger from her stomach and threw it away. He placed his hands on her stomach and the wound slowly began to seal. Even when she was dead, he could repair her body. That way her journey in the afterlife would be much easier. His palms grazed all her wounds and they healed right in front of them. Her pale and lifeless skin showed through and Hoseok ran a hand through her hair before kissing her head, leaving wet traces of tears on her forehead.
"Sleep well princess"

A black sky. Thunder. Heavy downpour.
And two caskets.
Nana and Grandfather. Both of them rested in oak coffins. The moment Jennie died, her body had turned to ash like it happened with every demon. On the side stood Jungkook, Hoseok, Yoongi, Jimin and Namjoon. Taehyung hadn't shown up. No one knew where he went. Jin was sitting right by the casket, refusing to leave his daughter's side.
Namjoon had been informed of the death of his cousin by Hoseok. The man had broken down into a messy sob when he came to know that. They couldn't tell him how she and Grandpa died so the only plausible explanation they all came up with to tell him and the other mortals was that both of them were killed in a road accident.
He had cried so much and it took Hoseok a lot of effort to calm him. The other boys too were all broken. No one ate for days at a stretch. Yoongi had to make Jimin eat forcefully since he was a human and would become weak. No one spoke anything nor did they talk to one another.
Everyone felt guilty and blamed themself for Nana's death. They failed. Failed to protect the one woman they loved.
"Hyung", Hoseok's voice brought Jin out of his trance as he looked at the younger with dull eyes. "Its time"
Jin nodded and stood up. All of them moved to the coffins as they got into threes and lowered each coffin into the ground. Without a word they grabbed the shovels around as they filled the holes.
Taehyung watched from a distance. Standing under a black umbrella, he stood a few hundred meters away as he looked at the funeral proceeding. His eyes were tired from not sleeping for days. Every time he tried to close his eyes, her face was the only thing he could see. He had decided he wasn't going to attend the funeral. He did not have the heart to. But the thought of not seeing her off, ate him up so here he was.
He couldn't go back home. Every place in that apartment held memories with Nana. He was a mess. Despite being the most powerful, he had never felt this helpless. He needed his Nana. He need her beside him. Her absence was like a hole in his body which no matter what he tried to do would never be filled.

1 month later
He sat on a bench under the cherry blossom as Nana's grave was right opposite to where he was. Taehyung came here everyday to talk to her. It was his ritual. He could feel the spirits lurking around their graves. The ones that had never received peace.
He took a bite of the sandwich which Nana loved. That was what he had been eating for the past month now. One week after the funeral, he had managed to go to his house only to be greeted with a weak Jungkook sitting on the couch, with his legs curled up and a blanket around him.
At the sight of Taehyung, Jungkook had immediately ran to him and hugged him tightly. "Don't ever leave me Hyung. Please"
The older had kissed the younger's head. "I won't", he assured him. He had to take care of Kook and that is why he came back. He knew the boy would be waiting for him there.
That is how he went back to his life and his own home. It had taken him some time, but he was better than before. Of course there were spells of ugly crying and screaming followed by a hollowing numbness but he was recovering.
He took one more bite of the sandwich as he heard footsteps. The man came and perched himself beside Taehyung.
"Its good to see you Taehyung-ah", Jin said as he placed a hand on his shoulder. Taehyung froze under his touch but slowly turned to face him. "You too Hyung", he replied. After all he had promised Nana he would make up with her father. This was the least he could do.
"Its her one month anniversary today", the elder spoke. "I came with flowers. Her favorite. They were Hwayoung's favorite too. Roses"
Taehyung nodded because he knew. "You come here everyday?", the older asked to which he nodded again.
"How have you been holding up?", now it was Taehyung's turn to make conversation.
"I am fine. Going back to the heaven now. I don't think I want to be on earth anymore. Jimin's here but he is doing well with Yoongi. He doesn't need me. Hoseok is also living with them in Busan. Those three can take care of each other well. My presence isn't required"
There was a prolonged silence where Taehyung played with the plastic wrap in his hand. His lips quivered as he spoke the next words. "Hyung", his voice was shaking as tears pooled in his eyes. Jin looked at him. "I am sorry I couldn't save your daughter. I am sorry she died protecting me. I am so..", he couldn't complete the last words as he felt a knot in his throat.
Jin's eyes softened as he scooted closer to him and pat his back. "I don't blame you Taehyung. Not even once. It was Nana's choice. She loved you more than she loved herself. And I am not even angry at her for doing this"
"But I am the reason she got into this mess in the first place. James would have never touched her if it hadn't been for me", Taehyung cried even more.
"You know, as her father I can tell you something. I saw the love in her eyes for you. I could see the way she looked at you, like you were her everything. Her world. And I don't think she would regret any of this at all. She died knowing how much you loved her and that is why she is at peace now"
Taehyung just kept crying as he hugged Jin. Jin too broke down a little but stayed strong for the younger. "We both lost the women we love", he said in his ears. "Guess this is just father punishing us for our sins"
The cold wind blew faster as trees rustled. Taehyung refused to let go of Jin and the elder didn't mind either. By Nana's grave they sat and reminisced about older times with the girl they loved.
"Taehyung, grieving for the loss of a loved one is like an ocean and your emotions are like the waves. Sometimes the waves will be mild but other times it will be a storm in the sea. There is nothing else you can do but learn how to swim through it all"
Taehyung nodded as he removed his handkerchief and wiped his eyes. The same one Nana made for him and painted a small rose at the border to annoy him because he said he hated roses. But now, it was his most prized possession.
"Are you ready to let go of her?", Jin asked. "I have been keeping an eye on you Tae. You have become a hermit of some sort. She would have wanted you to be happy and live like you did before you met her. If you continue to be like this, you will hurt her"
With that Jin stood up to leave. One last look at Lucifer, he put a hand on his shoulder.
"Be happy and move on. It will be the greatest gift you could ever give her"
With that he slightly pecked his head. The younger closed his eyes as he felt Jin's soft peck on his head. And with that the angel left. Left the world which no longer had his daughter.
Taehyung stood up as he walked to the grave. Opening his coat a little, he removed a rose and sat down cross legged in front of the grave.
"I saw you in my dream darling. A dream in which we were together. We looked happy. Everything was well", he said as tears rolled down his eyes. The rustling of the trees increased as it became windy.
"I don't know where it all went wrong. I used to think I was untouchable. No power in the world could make me fall to my feet. Nothing could ever break me. But boy was I so wrong. I feel this emptiness that I have never felt before. It seems like a piece of me died with you. From being the most powerful, I suddenly feel like a child wanting to tuck itself away from all the evils in the world"
The trees grew silent as well as they lamented. Taehyung played with the rose in his hand, not caring about how badly it pricked him.
"But I think I have decided something for myself. I don't know if its a good choice or a bad choice but it's something you would like. I want to leave this city. It holds too many memories of us and I don't think I could ever heal if I continue to stay. So I am here to meet you for the last time. Do you think, I should go?"
The wind became strong once again. The cherry blossoms fell from the tree to the green grass beneath. Taehyung watched as a couple fell in his lap.
"Is this supposed to be a yes?", he chuckled through tears.
With that he stood up as he placed the rose on the stone grave. He bent a little as he ran a hand through the cold stone.
"I love you. Thank you for making me feel alive when everything within me was dead"
With that he turned to walk away. A small breeze flew and carried a flower which grazed his lips. Taehyung smiled. It seemed like she sent him a goodbye kiss.
