Rest in Peace.....

So.... That rabbit of mine that I was talking about last update....?
......
........
.......
She didn't make it.

We managed to remove all of the maggots from her fur and out of her skin, and it seemed like she was getting better, but she wasn't eating at all.

End of the week(day before I left for art camp), we went to see how she was doing, and she seemed okay. Not five minutes after putting her back in her cage, she started having a seizure. I tried keeping her from thrashing, but she was gone really soon.
..........
Fly Strike (myiasis) can be fatal to pet rabbits everyone. Not only do each and every one of the maggots need to be removed and disposed of permanently, but the bunny then needs to be kept clean and dry so more don't come. They'll also need antibiotics to get through the toxins from the larvae.... Which will be difficult without a veterinarian...

Don't wait for them to become lethargic. As soon as you see maggots on them, get them to a vet. And as prevention, keep them clean and dry, as well as their cage/hutch. This can happen to indoor rabbits too.

If you have pet rabbit, they are counting on you to love and take care of them. Keep them clean, happy, and healthy. They're counting on you to do your part.
.......
If we'd gotten Foxy to a vet, maybe she wouldn't have suffered that fatal seizure.
