FFIV fanfics

So.... I'm thinking I'm going to finish A Bard's Tale soon. Archer, however, is still in the phases of reaching mid-plot.

Now though, I have two new ideas for FFIV books, each starring a different character.

We have Haelan, in Birds of a Feather; and Mair, in Borne Unto the Stars.

Birds of a Feather
Haelan is born as the son of one of the Eight Epopts, the priestesses of the nation of Troia. This in itself never should've happened due to the fact that the Epopts aren't supposed to have families. But instead, Haelan was born, and to keep her position, his mother gave him up to Troian medics, where it was hoped he would thrive. Were it any other nation, he would've become a soldier. However, in Troia, only women fight. In Troia, women rule and protect the Earth Crystal.

Haelan, as it would turn out, is a natural at white magic. But he hates staying behind the safety of Castle walls; Haelan wants to be amidst the fighting, where he can do the most good.

Times become increasingly dangerous, and Haelan discovers an unconscious man washed upon shore. Once he wakes, he explains to Haelan that he is the crown prince of Damcyan, the lone survivor of the prestigious Von Muir royal family after the palace was bombed by Baron's airships. He also tells of his quest to stop Baron's thefts of the elemental Crystals; and of his companions whom went missing when their ship was capsized by the sea monster, Leviathan.

Borne unto the Stars
Mair was raised by the Elder of Mysidia. She knew nothing about who she was; only that she had been left before the Prayer Dais in the Tower of Wishes. As she grew, she was referred to as a gift from the gods because there was something otherworldly about her bright green eyes, and the fact that at thirteen, she was teaching herself magic from the scrolls of a powerful sage.

Now, at nineteen, the Elder has entrusted Mair with watching over the young twins, Palom and Porom- already magical prodigies at age five. Everything is going well save for the increase in monsters.

Then Mysidia is attacked; the precious Water Crystal stolen. Many mages are killed during the attack. It's important to protect and train Palom and Porom now more than ever. Although, perhaps, Mair needs the protection as well with the dark voice in her mind, a voice that refuses to leave her be. A voice, that snakes it's way into her doubts and weaknesses; urging her to abandon Palom and Porom and to take the power of the Crystals for herself.
