i want the stars to claim me

i want to be packed into a space suit with a note for the universe to read

i want to be flown to the moon
and i want to be given a little push

tumbling endlessly into the unknown
and i want my last sight to be home

i'll see the earth from outside

and close my eyes
for the last time
