Gabriel in the lore
Gabriel's role is often considered as something like an announcer, bugler, or trumpeter of Heaven. However, Gabriel is much more than a 'mouthy Archangel who blows a trumpet.' His nature is far too complex for him to be typecast as such.

The mythological Gabriel displays a very unique set of balanced yet seemingly contradicting characteristics. For starters, Gabriel is the Patron Angel of mercy as well as vengeance. Death and Resurrection. Annunciation (meaning 'to announce or tell' but not necessarily 'show') but also of Revelation (which means 'to show or reveal' but not necessarily 'tell'). When one first considers these rather oppositional sounding roles, Gabriel seems to perform many tasks that would require him to possess contrary natures. Upon closer inspection, however, it becomes clear that Gabriel instead represents the natural order of existence, which exists as a balance of opposing forces.

In mythological circles, Gabriel is sometimes considered a metaphorical representation of the divine balance that allows countless binary forces to assume a harmonious balance, which allows the physical reality to exist; without darkness there can be no light, without death there can be no life.

Being an Archangel, Gabriel possesses feathered wings. He has six wings in total and the feathers are a brilliant golden in color. Something like this in style.

He is capable of making his wings disappear and reappear at will. When his wings are out, others are only able to see them when he wants them to.

Background
As an Archangel, Gabriel lived in Heaven with his father and siblings. He was created before the universe itself and he has spend most of his life watching over the other creations from a distance without much interference from his side. Seeing all the mistakes and wars between all the creatures, Gabriel eventually started looking at them with a cynical eye; not really caring much what happens to them, even feeling like they deserve all the bad for their sins. As an Archangel, it is also his duty to lead legions of lesser celestial beings against the forces of evil in a seemingly never ending war.

Eventually though, Lucifer rebelled which quickly became a Civil War. Growing tired of watching his siblings fight and tear at each other's throats, he fled from Heaven thousands of years before the current date. Gabriel loves his siblings equally but he couldn't choose sides so he ran to escape being forced to choose. Which shows that he tends to run away from his responsibilities rather than facing them.

Settling down on another world altogether, he continued with his duty as Heavenly Punisher, melting out 'just desserts' to those he feels deserve punishment. He brings down the high and mighty, often with a /mostly fatal\ sense of humor. A research scientist who tests on animals? Gabriel has him eaten by an alligator in a sewer. A frat boy who cheats on his girlfriend? Gabriel has him being probed and forced to slow-dance with aliens. A guy who's hell bent  on proofing worm holes don't exist? Gabriel tosses him into one! He continues with this for a thousand years.

Over the centuries, Gabriel slowly gains a certain understanding over the other creatures. He admits to himself that they might be flawed but they try to do better and forgive, and that Heaven can learn a lot from them.

Gabriel dives deeper into the cultures of the other creatures, and he stop punishing them, he becomes as determined as he can to learn as much as possible. He especially spends a lot of time in a country named Yawron. He eventually comes across modeling, which he finds a fun and fascinating activity to do, very different as well from what he used to do in Heaven.

Characteristics
Gabriel's greatest physical characteristic are perhaps his radiant golden wings, he is very proud of them and grooms them on a nearly daily basis. He is also well know for his joking and sarcastic way of dealing with things.

Personality
Gabriel often uses misdirection and mischief to achieve his goals and to protect himself. Yet he doesn't cheat and follows the rules - and doesn't looks kindly at those who do cheat - and always plays somewhat fair. If he doesn't agrees with the rules though he is very good at finding loopholes and getting away with it.

As a commander of Heaven's armies, he gained a somewhat ruthless behavior; not showing any mercy towards those who stand before him - or get in his way - nor for looking kindly at soldiers who slack off in their duty. Only at the battle field though.

Because of his somewhat mischief nature, he doesn't gets along with everyone though. But he doesn't really cares about that all that much, as he beliefs in the freedom of speech and thought.

Gabriel's manner is the most 'human' out of all other celestial beings, perhaps of his long sojourn on their world. He holds the other beings in high regards, no matter their faults and flaws, a trait which most other Archangels don't share with him - because of them never leaving Heaven and thus preventing them from learning about the other beings like Gabriel has.

Despite however long Gabriel has been running and hiding from his father and siblings, he still shows concern and love towards the lower angels. And even his Archangel brethren, including Michael and Lucifer. Yet he still beliefs that celestials shouldn't interfere much and generally stays to the sidelines to let the other creatures 'find their way.'

However, because he couldn't bear with all the fighting, he doesn't wants any part in any type of fight or war and he just wants it all to be over. Even though he is an ancient and powerful entity, he avoids violence at all costs and he flees with even the smallest sign of danger. Not because he is scared - maybe a tiny bit - but because he has already seen enough violence in his entire life. He is capable of standing up for what he beliefs in, but it's very hard - nearly impossible - to push him this far.

He is always up for competition and doesn't likes losing all that much. Yet he mostly just tries to have fun along the way of achieving his goals.

Powers and abilities
Being an Archangel and a former Warrior and Commander of Heaven, Gabriel is one of the oldest and most powerful beings there is. Even though he doesn't uses most abilities all that much unless he has no other choice.

Lower Tier Nigh-Omnipotence
As an Archangel, Gabriel possesses an unbelievable amount of power, enough that he could create entire pocket universes with their own timeline and add in timelines to the current universe with just a thought.

Highly Advanced Reality Warping
Gabriel is remarkably talented with this power and can accomplish just about anything with it, and it is his trademark as well as most utilized ability. He can warp reality, whether it is by making objects or living beings appear out of thin air, or by reshaping objects into something else entirely, or by creating unreal dimensions and large time loops. He is also capable of duplicating himself to deceive others or to be at numerous places at once. In the past he mostly used this ability to punish wrongdoers, currently he generally uses it for smaller things.

Hight Advanced Chronokinesis
Gabriel can travel forward or backward in time. He can also take others with him or put them in time loops.

Highly Advanced Senses
Gabriel's senses are remarkably better than those of other creatures, yet he has more troubles seeing in complete darkness. He also possesses a remarkably strength, speed, and stamina.

Gabriel can impact kinetic energy on matter with his mind.

Nigh-Omniscience
Because of his great age, Gabriel possesses an immense amount of knowledge and wisdom about the universe. He is also insanely smart, succeeding in faking his death more than once to put himself off the radar.

Immortality and near-invulnerability
Gabriel has an indefinitely long lifespan, and in unaffected by disease, toxins or the passing of time itself. He does not require food, water, oxygen, or sleep to maintain his physical body. He views it more as a 'luxury.'

Healing/regeneration
If Gabriel receives any physical damage - as long as it's not inflicted by certain weapons - the wound will completely heal instantaneously. He is also capable of healing others (physical and mental) and there's nothing he cannot heal; he can even bring back the dead - even though he rarely does so.

Flight
Using his wings, Gabriel is capable of flight at great speeds.

Weaknesses
Although he is an Archangel, thus making him remarkably strong and powerful, he still has his weaknesses.

Holy oil
Gabriel can be trapped in a circle of holy oil which has been set ablaze by flames.

Gabriel can be briefly restrained and banished by the most powerful of spells. It's unable to kill him though.

Even though he does not needs to eat to stay alive, Gabriel is a real sweet tooth and he's very fond of candy and cake and basically anything sweet. He has also always loved flying seeing as it tends to clear his head and helps with calming him down.

Dislikes
Gabriel doesn't likes the mere thought of his siblings fighting. He also doesn't likes violence and fighting and tries to have nothing to do with it.

~Does he wants to win? Of course! He never backs down from competition.

~Does he have experience? With modeling directly? Maybe a few photo shoots.... and he has been on 'Heaven Weekly' a few times and '12 Hottest Celestials' (a calendar). Other than that not really any 'serious' competition or contests really.

~Being an Archangel, Gabriel does not needs to eat. His senses are greatly advanced and most foods tend to overwhelm him - as in he tastes every single molecule - during his long stay amongst other creatures though, he discovered that he has no problem with eating sweet foods. He only sleeps when he his weakened, but even then he's a light sleeper and can wake with the slightest noise.

~ As a creature of highly divine status, Gabriel is very graceful and fluid in his movements. He is also often described as 'beautiful', both his true spiritual angelic form and his physical /humanoid\ form.
