Imagine Mac almost being late to a date because of his friends

MacGyver and his troop had one of those rare occasions where their dear boss Matilda Webber gave them 2 weeks off for all their hard work catching bad guys on a daily business but while they were having their days off the team decided to steal Mac's signature leather jacket and hide it somewhere in the house then see how long it takes him to find it.

Out of all days it was Bozers's turn to hide his leather jacket since he was going on a date with someone he met online since his friends had persuaded him to get back out there after he and Nikki broke up and he needed his jacket to complete his look since he didn't want it to go bad since he really liked you

So after wandering around the house after he got dressed so nicely and on time too he went around the whole house even looking in places that he wouldn't normally look in to try and find it but he didn't realise that it was taking up most of his time and that he was late for it already making a bad impression so once he heard his friends on the balcony he sighed knowing he would have to ask them

"Ok guys this isn't funny anymore I need my jacket for date so please give it up" he asked his friends that were sitting at the fire pit in the back sipping on their drinks and shared random stories mostly about funny moments during missions or about their lives that they found funny

"Aww Mac's got a date who is the lucky girl?" Jack asked teasingly as he sipped on his beer while everyone else chuckled looking at Mac amused while he looked annoyed at all of them

"Guys I'm serious I'm late as it is" he said annoyed as his phoned buzzed as he got a text from you making him realise the time and muttered a small curse as he read your messages

Mac Y/N

Where are you? I have been waiting here for 30 minutes

If you not coming, then just say so I don't look like a fool

I will be there soon I promise just to need to find my jacket cause my friends decided to hide it due to us having a small prank war like I told you about.

So please don't go

Aww that's adorable Mac but you look cuter without it and let's just say we will get them payback on your behalf but only if you come here in the next 10 minutes if not, I'm going home

Thanks Y/N I will be there soon and maybe we should plan that while on the date and the best revenge idea gets to choose next dinner location and activity.

You beat me at my own game I highly doubt that, but we will see

As he texted you, he was worried at first since you were about to leave since he made you wait for that long but smiled at the small compromise idea so that you didn't leave but after a bit, he looked up at his friends annoyed since they were the reason, he was in this mess in the first place

"You guys are lucky that I don't need the jacket, or I would've missed a perfectly good date" he muttered annoyed before he walked back into the living room and grabbed wallet and keys before driving off to his date which he was now late to

But lucky enough for him the date went smoothly and even to he was late by 35 minutes he made it up by taking you to a fancy restaurant and a nice stroll through the park where you sat on the plain grassy field and looked up at the starry night.

Throughout the date you and Mac had went back and forth on creative ideas to get them back together and you won the idea contest and his friends that had started the little prank war had been woken up to an exploding powder bomb in their own beds

You didn't like the fact that you went to their houses to do it, but Mac reassured you that he was allowed to since they could do it to his house but since Bozer stayed with Mac it was easier for him to do it there then have more time at his fire pit when they were done with setting up stuff

When the date was over Mac dropped you off at your place and you planned the next date for you both and he couldn't have been happier because after you shut the door, he fists bumped the air muttering a small "until next time"

In the morning Mac got woken up to Bozer's bomb going off as if it was an alarm clock but got texts and pictures from everyone else from the results of his actions but remained innocent on the matter not knowing what happened before going on with his day even though he was the one to create the chaos that you created

After he got dressed and ready to go to work, he had sent you the screenshots of the prank aftermath making you laugh as you had your morning tea and breakfast
