Chapter 12- The Plan

She picked up her phone as she heard the alert pop up. She picked up her phone and read it.

'Hey, I got your message. What's up?'
She typed a reply.
'I'm glad you got it. Look, I need your help with something.'
After a moment, a new message popped up.
'Sure. What is it?'
'Are you still able to come and meet me? I'll explain everything then.'
She replied.
'Uh, okay. I'll be there in a few hours.'
The reply read.
'Great! I'll talk to you later then.'
'See you soon.'

Blaze put her phone down, waiting for him to show up. If what Vincent said was true, there was no way Ricky would let this happen. She knew he wouldn't.
After waiting for three and a half hours, he showed up.
'what apartment did you say you were in?'
Her phone alerted her with another message.
'Wait there- I'll come down to meet you.'

She took the elevator down to the lobby and met him there.
"Hey Blaze! It's so good to see you again!"
The Pokemon said, seeing her get out of the elevator.
"It's good to see you too. I missed you."
She replied, giving him a hug.
"So, what's this about? I don't think you brought me all the way out here just to hug me."
Blaze laughed a little.
"No, it's something much more important. I'll take you up to my apartment and tell you what I need you to do for me up there."
She replied, leading the way to the elevator.

"Wow, Blaze. This place looks really good."
He commented, looking at all of the pictures and seeing how all of the furniture was neatly set out, not to mention the large window that looked out at the sea.
"Thank you. I think I settled in rather well. Anyway, I need you to help me because of something that happened recently. It's a long story, so be ready to listen."
She told him everything that had happened since she first met Ricky when she moved in.
"That... certainly was a lot, but I think I have the main idea of what's going on. So, what do you want me to do?"
He asked, slightly confused.
"That's the most important thing. Vincent told me he misses me a lot, which I do believe. I want to know for sure whether or not he still cares about me, which again, Vincent claims he does. So, tomorrow when the day finishes..."
She explained her plan.
"Whoa... are you sure?"
She nodded.
"You're positive this will work?"
"I'm ninety-nine percent sure."
She replied.
"And why can't you get one of your other male friends to do this?"
He asked.
"Because with the reaction I'm expecting, it would have to be someone he doesn't know. He'd never do anything like that to a friend."
The Pokemon sighed.
"Okay, I guess I can do it then. But you owe me."
She beamed him a smile.
"Thank you!"
She embraced him.
"You're really helping me here. Thank you so much."
She said happily.

The next day, before heading home, Ricky heard something that intrigued him, in a bad way.
"So, I heard you finally broke up with that Lucario. That true?"
Ricky looked to his right to see a Gallade blocking Blaze's way out of the building.
"Yes, I did. So what?"
She snapped back.
"Well, why don't you go out with me? I'll treat you better than he ever could. Trust me."
Lucario let out a low growl as he took a few steps closer.
"No. I don't want to date anyone at the moment."
She replied, making the Gallade frown.
"Wrong answer. You can't just say no to me. Nobody denies me like that."
He pushed her back lightly. Ricky's paws slowly balled into fists. He'd had enough of this.
"Leave me alone and let me go!"
She demanded, trying to push past him. He pushed her back into a set of lockers.
"I said, nobody denies me like that!"
The Gallade shouted.
"Hey!"
Ricky snapped, causing the Gallade to look at him.
"Let her go if you know what's good for you."
He threatened.
"Oh, really?"
The Gallade approached him.
"And what will you do if I don't?"
Ricky saw Blaze give him a look as if to say "stay out of this!". He ignored it however.
"You really want to try me?"
Ricky replied, causing Gallade to chuckle. At this point, a crowd had formed around the situation, with Vincent being a part of it.
"You're all talk. Stay out of this if you know what's good for you."
The pushed him onto the floor, causing the crowd to begin muttering.
"Now, where were we?"
The Gallade barely finished his sentence before being spun around, hit hard in the head and thrown into the wall, falling to the floor and groaning in pain.
"I said, leave her alone! She's a beautiful, kind and caring Pokemon who deserves someone who makes her happy, not someone who forces her into a relationship! She deserves someone one million times better than you! So you leave her alone, or I'll tear you apart!"
Ricky shouted. It was then he realised what he'd just done. He looked at the Gallade, to the shocked look on Blaze's face, to the expressions of the Pokemon in the crowd.
"Excuse me..."
He said quietly as the crowd parted and he left the building without another word. Blaze couldn't stop him- she could barely move. She hadn't expected him to care as much as he seemed to, and at that moment, she knew Vincent had been right. She never lost him, and she wasn't going to waste anytime trying to get him back.
Gallade got up, groaning in pain while the crowd parted and Pokemon went their own separate ways.
"Was that... good enough?"
He asked.
"Uh-huh..."
She replied slowly, staring in the direction he'd gone.

At his apartment, Ricky was crushed. He had overreacted way too much, and now the whole university would hate him. To make matters worse, Blaze probably hated him more as she didn't want him to get involved.
"What have I done?"
He asked himself, burying his head I his paws. He was ready to accept defeat- if he had any chance at getting her back, it was gone now. As he was about to go to his bedroom, he heard a knock on the door. He wondered who it could be, and when he opened the door, the face he saw surprised him more than anything. There were very few Pokemon who could have surprised him more. As the two Pokemon stared at each other, the Pokemon smiled at him. There were so many questions going trough Ricky's head that he didn't know where to begin. That wouldn't be the case for very long, however, as he would get all the answers he needed and more very soon.

It always feels great to come back to this book. I'm not going to lie, I don't know when the next part will come out. It could be next week or next month; I really don't know. Either way, I hope you all enjoyed this part, and I'll see you all very soon. Stay awesome.
