Alberto's POV

Today is my birthday! And Massimo is taking me to the festival as a big gift.

I always wanted to go to one...there will be rides, games, even gelato!!!

We saved up most of our money until the day of my birthday, Im turning 15!!

I looked around my closet for something to wear.

One of my small gifts was a buttoned up yellow shirt and black pants.

They make me look good and like a man~

"Alberto! Are you almost ready?"

Asked by Massimo, I guess him and Machiavelli are all waiting for me downstairs.

"Im coming!!" I checked myself in the mirror, dang I never looked this good.

It'll be pretty lonely without Luca and Guilia, maybe next birthday.

So me and Massimo head over to the festival, which I am very hyped about.

Looking around, all I see is shining stringed lights surrounding the place, rides shine like stars, and its very colorful.

"Machiavelli would be watching over you, Ill be by the game booth with a couple of friends of mine, whenever you need me, Ill be by the shooting booth." Massimo told me everything, which means its just me and Machi Machi going on all the rides!!!

"Thank you Grazie!!" I gave him a big hug and I began to run around, where to go first!

"Hmm...where should we go on first?"

Machiavelli shrugged and went to take a nap near a bench.

Lazy furball...

I searched until I spotted an oddly strange girl waiting near the giant swing sets.

Never talked to another girl, except for Guilia, maybe I can start making a new friend.

So I head over to the girl...

"Ahem! Ciao, Im Alberto, piacere" I said to the girl, but when she turned her body to look at me...

Oh my goodness...she looks...how do I describe this?...

She looks like snow...her hair is white as snow, same with her skin...

But her eyes are like ruby red...its so pretty...

Why do I feel so nervous all of a sudden...?

"H-hello.."

She spoke! Yay!!

"Im y/n...nice to meet you too Alberto." She gently smiled and turned her body away from me.

"T-that's a lovely name..."

"S-so is yours..." She whispered and I could tell she's a little nervous...

We didn't talk until I start another conversation.

"You like this ride?" I asked her.

"No, this is my first time." She didn't look at me...is she not interested in me anymore?

Try to impress her!

"Oh I have, been on there 100 times, spins you round and round! Until you puke!" I chuckled and leaned my arm against the waiting line rope.

Wow...no smile....I thought girls like stuff like this?

"Is it intense?" She asked me, looking afraid...dang those eyes of hers...

"Well...I wouldn't say that. Ill be right behind you."

She nods and brushed her white hair to the side out of her doll like face.

"Alright Alberto..."

The people are walking out of the ride, which means were up next.

"Come on Y/n!" I ran to one of the swings where we would be together.

I chose a swing that's the color green, and Y/n is in front of me on the red one.

Her hair is very long, covers the swing from behind.

Y/n's POV

This looks pretty scary...would I fall off when it starts?...

I turned to look at Alberto, seeing him buckle up on the swing.

I have to say...he was the first human boy to ever communicate with me...he seems very nice, and also handsome...

Maybe he won't know what I am until the big sun goes down.

I could see all of us rise of the swings, oh glob! Im so scared!!!

During the swings began to twirl, Alberto raised his arms up, imagining that he would fly.

Y/n looks around the ground, all she would see is bright lights surrounding the area, she held on tight and soon, turned her head to see the boy cheer.

Her eyes were amazed, it gave her a sweet warm feeling that she's beginning to enjoy it. So she raised her arms up as well, while her hair flows like a mermaid.

By the end of the ride.

Alberto and Y/n walked out of the swings.

"That was fun! Its like we were flying! How was it for your first time?" He held her hands, while she turned red from the close touch.

"I-it was fun yeah.."

Alberto's POV

Im so glad to see her have fun! I feel like I've known her forever...

"S-say uh Y/n?"

"Yes?" She looked up at me which makes me nervous again.

"D-do you wanna um...get on more with me?"

Please don't say no please don't say no...

"Mmm! Sure, its fun with you." She smiled and held her hands together so innocently.

"Sweet!! Come on!"

I held her hand and we head onto more rides.

--A few rides later--

We gave a little break off of the extreme rides.

Plus Im getting a little hungry

"Hey, wanna go eat?"

Her eyes blink a few times and back to her fiddling hands "yeah...Im getting hungry myself."

"Ever had gelato?"

She tilts her head and raised her pale eyebrows.

"Huh?"

How can she not know what gelato is?! Its the best food in the whole stinkin world!!

"Hmm you must be a new comer...come! Let's get some!"

So we walked over to the little shop.

I also discovered we were still holding hands.

"You'll love it, its delicious"

So I ordered two orders of gelato. I bought her the same flavor as mine because maybe she'll enjoy this one.

The kind man scooped the gelato into those cones and handed me the two.

"Grazie!" I turned to her and hand her the cone.

She held it close to her and slowly bites it.

Hmm...something about her...is she from around here?

I licked mine and we head on out back.

"So uh, where are you from Y/n?"

Her eyes widen so suddenly and stuttered behind the gelato.

"Uhhh..."

I raised my eyebrow and continued to lick.

"I-Im from the mountains..?" She said shyly.

Hmm..so she's rich?

"Cool! I live here with my step father, today's my birthday, just turned 15!" I looked down at her with a smirk.

"Aww happy birthday."

"Thanks!" I smiled and suddenly gazed into her eyes.

Wow...me talking to a rich girl? Well money doesn't matter to me...she looks way prettier than Ercole.

"Um Alberto?"

"Yes?~" I continued to gaze, until I snapped when she got a little closer to my face.

"You okay?"

"O-oh...um, yeah Im okay, sorry..." I laughed and scratched the back of my head.

She giggled covering her mouth while doing so "its okay, its funny."

Woah!! She thinks Im funny!!

So we both walked around together finishing up our gelatos.

"Wanna get on more rides?" I asked Y/n, who is focused on one ride which seems appealing.

The ferris wheel its called.

Her face shows amazement, maybe Ill take her there.

"Wanna get on together?" I smirked and held her hand, this time intertwining them.

She nodded and we walked in one time, we were next to get on.

I sat down first and sat next to me, yeah we are pretty close...hope she wouldn't mind if I wrapped an arm around her.

Until we head up, I faked a yawn and wrapped my arm around her shoulder, which felt soft, not to sound weird though... Even her hair is soft.

She noticed and except pushing it away, instead she comes a little closer to me...

Wow...is this what Massimo meant by first base?!

I looked around Portorosso, and saw a gorgeous view near the water.

"Woah..."

"I know right, its stunning."

Do we kiss? Or is that just a movie?

She turned her face to look at me.

I looked back and oh glob...

Are we really gonna kiss?...

I never kissed a girl before!!

Am I that good? Hope my breath isn't bad...

Take a deep breath...

silenzio bruno...silenzio bruno...

"Alberto?"

I shook off from my daydream.

"Oh um, yes Y/n?"

She seems to be feeling shy again, wouldn't bare to look up at me.

"I-I just wanted to say...thank you...for being the first person to talk to me...you seem very nice and fun to hang with. I-Im starting to like you..." Her cheeks turned to a pink shade of red..

She likes me?...

"I-I like you too Y/n! I-I never talk to a very pretty looking girl like you!"

I smiled and my god...what have I done...

I gave her a big kiss on her cheek.

Y/N's POV

Oh my...he kissed my cheek...

S-should I kiss him too?

I felt a small drop on my hand and gasped when I see my pale pink skin...

"Oh no..."

"Aww man its raining...at least the ride is almost over"

Oh man...I can't let him see me in my real form...My heart is pounding in fear...I tried to dry myself off but my pink skin keeps on appearing.

When the ride is over, we got off, I run under an umbrella and sighed in relief.

"Y/n wait!"

Oh no I left him behind...but eyes opened over what I am seeing...

"A-Alberto?..."

Alberto's POV

"Okay I know what your gonna say...but Im friendly! Everyone knows that Ill never hurt them...don't be scared of me please..." I looked down until she stopped me.

"Im not scared...Im just surprised." She said gently, fiddling with her hair a bit.

Y/n's POV

So Im not alone...should I show him mine? I look a little weird...maybe he won't judge.

He looks really handsome, well handsome in both ways.

"Alberto...there's something I wanna tell you too. This may shock you as well-"

I tripped over the hard ground, dropped into a big puddle.

My skin shifts into my sea monster form...

"Ahh!!!! Its hideous!!! Why is she all pink?!"

A man said next to me...he's the one who tipped me over.

"What a weirdo! Go back to the oceans weirdo!"

The man poked me with a stick and I began to tear up...he's right...I only belong in the ocean...

I got up and ran back down to the ocean shore.

Alberto's POV

"Y/n no!!...damn it Ercole...why must you always ruin everything!." I run after her until she jumped into the shores.

I stopped and I unbuttoned my shirt off and head inside.

I swim around the big blue, searching for her... "Y/n! Where are you?!"

I continued my search, until there's a shining glow near a big rock in the middle of a seagrass meadow....

This must be her...

I slowly make my way over to her...

S-she's crying...I don't want her to cry...

"Y/n?" I said her name gently, placing my hand onto her shoulder.

She sniffled and turned to face me...

This just hurts to look at...seeing a new friend sad...

"The man's right...I am hideous...Im just a hideous monster!" She cried and covered her face so I wouldn't see.

I frowned and give her a gentle hug. "Oh that's Ercole...the town's bully...don't even listen to him...he's the hideous one. "

"B-but look at me...I-I-"

"Beautiful..."

I said before she said that horrible word...

Y/n's POV

I turned red when he said the word beautiful...

"W-what?"

"I said, you are beautiful! I mean...I've never seen such a stunning looking sea monster."

I clutched onto my tail a bit and looked away "Im an Albino Sea Folk. My nickname here is Ice Princess." .

"Ice princess? Well you are one after all~" He winked down at me and I just blushed more.

"Mmm thanks.."

I got up and swam close to his cheek to kiss it.

It gave him that shocked facial expression...maybe he doesn't like it....

That's when I felt two arms wrapped around me and pulled in for a big hug, spinning me around the water, swarming bubbles near the moon light.

I giggled "Alberto stop" until we looked into each others eyes.

"Y/n?"

"Yes?"

He bites his lip and looked back at me. "Would you like to be my princess?"

T-this is so sudden...but it feels right, have I found my prince?

"I do..." I cupped his violet like cheek and shared a sweet kiss.

Alberto's POV

This was the best 15th birthday ever.
