Luca swam to see his parents hugging him, wanting to know where he was and was glad he is safe.

"Where have you been? Hiding us like that." Daniela asked and Luca tried to calm her down.

"Its Okay mom, but...there's someone that Id like for you to meet."

She raised an eyebrow "is it a girl?"

He nodded and flush red, that's when Daniela freaked out, all happy and joyful, almost driven attention to the merfolk.

"I wanna meet her! Where is she?! Is she beautiful? Cute? Curvy?"

"Mom!"

"Aww bubbles you know Im just teasing." Daniela laughed and kissed his forehead.

Good thing the party was a bit loud, so no one would hear.

"Wait right here." Luca swam over to you, which you came back inside.
He smiled and made his way towards you. "Y/n, come with me."

He held your hand dearly and swayed back to his parents with you in hand.

Their faces were stunned...like really shocked...that you are in fact a mermaid.

"Wow, your no kidding, she's very beautiful." Daniela complimented and swam closer to you.

"Mom, this is Y/n." He introduced you to his family, which they felt welcoming.

"Hello, Im Daniela, Luca's mother."

You bowed your head slowly and given the sweet mother a gentle smile. "Its nice to meet you."

Lorenzo and Grandma also introduced themselves to you, they don't realize you we're a princess yet.

"Well, that's all we wanted to know bubbles."

You giggled over the cute nickname while Luca flushed red in embarrassment.

"Im safe mom, don't worry."

So the two of you swam back to the curtains but you stopped him "how about we go to my bedroom, I wanna show you something."

He turned to look and nods, so you sneakily made your way up to your bedroom, where you made sure that your father didn't see.

(Friend's POV)

I swam back inside and spotted Y/n and her boy toy up the stairs...this is not looking too good...I have to find Triton, I know what Im doing is wrong to my own friend...but she can't do this to her own people...I swam up by his side.

"Oh Triton!" I said to the king, and he turns to look down at me.

"Yf/n, its great to see you, is something you need from me?" He asked with a cheerful smile.

I bite my lips and possibly take him someplace to talk about what Y/n is up to...

"I need a word with you...its about your daughter..." I said softly only he would hear.

His eyes went red...which doesn't look too good.

"Go on..."

So I held his hand and swam near the curtains and cleared my throats.

He raised an eyebrow, awaiting me to talk...I need to go slow...

"Well...you see Triton...she has met someone...and this boy is-"

"Boy?.."

"Y-yes sir, but-"

"A boy? My daughter met a boy?" He asked again.

I nodded and was interrupted once again.

"My daughter has met the merman of her dreams?! Oh I am so happy for her! She has found her king to rule with! I must meet this lucky young man!!"

Aww...its so cute when he's happy...but its gonna go rotten very soon.

"Sir...he's not a merman..."

Then he stopped and turned dark...surrounding me like a shadow...

"What?..." His voice went deep like immediately...

"H-he's not a merman...he's uh..."

He glared down at me like I'm gonna die at this spot.

"He's a what?..."

I gulped and mumbled the two words under my breath...

"Louder!!"

"Y/n is in love with a sea folk!!" I covered my mouth with wide eyes...hearing the whole ballroom went to silence after what I just said...

His face expression frozen shocked, holding in his anger...I don't know if I should swim away or await for my punishment...

"My daughter...with a sea folk..out of all the merman around her age in the palace...she's with a filthy sea folk?!"

I tried to calm him down but instead he gripped my arm...

"Where are they?.."

*gulped*

Luca's POV

I swim inside your bedroom which looked massive, comparing to mine.

Even the bed is a giant clam! The shelves covered with books and other products, also a mirror!

"Sit right here." You point to your bed and I went to lay on it. Wow! Its so cozy!!

That's when I felt some suction on my arm...I looked over to see a cute red octopus wanting to meet me.

"Rossa, be kind to our guest." I heard you say to your pet.

She's really cute and small, almost like a jelly fish.

Then I spotted you pick up a small box under your bed, and sat besides me.

You opened it to reveal a beautiful shell necklace.

"It's beautiful."

You nodded and looked up at me.

"This was my mother's...she would wear this as protection from danger outside of the castle."

I nodded and listened to what your explaining.

Your smile shift to a frown...

"One day...my mother took me outside of the castle...she wanted to show me the whales...until there was a megaladon attack..."

A megaladon?! I thought they were extinct?!

"I watched the foul monster eat my mother into pieces...the only thing she left me...was this necklace...it protected me from it...that's how my father saw me...tears and a report..."

It all makes sense now...no wonder your father wouldn't let you go outside of the palace...because of a now extinct shark.

"I've been wearing this ever since...until my father told me to throw it away...Luca? I want you to have it.."

You handed me the necklace, but I stopped you.

"Wait no...I-I can't take this...it's your belonging."

"Im not offering it to you bubbles, Im giving it to you."

So you placed the necklace around my neck and held the shell, looking deeply to all the memories you hold...I could see the grief into them...

"Im never gonna lose this." I said proudly and you wrapped your arms around my neck and we shared another kiss.

I know I know, we just met...but this felt so real to me...I am in love with a princess.

That's when I heard the door open...I couldn't believe who I am seeing...

It was King Triton himself!!

He doesn't look too happy...

You pulled away from me, feeling scared...

"F-father...i-it's not what it looks like."

"After all this time...this is how you embarrass our kingdom?!"

You looked scared, this is worse then how my mom argues with me...

(3rd Person POV)

"Your friend told me everything...you think you could sneak in a sea folk behind my back?.." Triton looked pissed off, felt like he was literally gonna kill someone in this room.

"Father he's not a bad person.."

"You know marrying a sea folk is forbidden in the mer palace!"

You felt like tearing up...but Luca stood in front of you, almost comforting you from your own father.

"Hey...she's a princess, how come she can't make her own decisions?"

Triton glared down at the little cutie, pretty much disgusted over what he said to the king.

"Ehem...I am the king...I demanded her to  marry a merman only! Not a weak little sea monster..."

Luca gulped and looked down.

"Yf/n...get him out of my sight..."

Your friend nodded and took Luca out of the bedroom, returning to the ball room.

This isn't looking too good for you.

"Y/n...my sweet pearl...you know I still love you...but I forbid you to see that boy!!." He shouted at the end and you began to tear up.

"Whatever happened to what mother has said! She said love is love no matter what shape and form!"

He sighed and swam out of your bedroom, not answering anymore, just went back to the ballroom...stayed silent through out the entire night.

Luca's POV

"Im sorry Luca...but you and your family are forbidden to return to the castle and parties..." The mermaid told me, showing me the exit out...

I couldn't believe a friend would do this all because it's against the royal book...

But at least I still kept her necklace...Ill always remember her...even if she did marry a merman...I'd try to win her back...

Y/n's POV

Rossa comforted me, why does my father have to do this to me...he knew what mother said before...that I could marry anyone I want...

I want to be with Luca...I choose him...

I know I have never done or thought of this before...but Im gonna find him...

That's right...Im leaving tonight!
