You are a cute Italian girl who's met the young man and he tries to impress you and becoming closer than friends.

Also this is gonna be long one shot and its all focused on Alberto's POV.

Alberto's POV

I just got a letter from my friend Luca! To see how he's doing in school!

I also wanted to tell him how life Portorosso really is!

And how I got my first job working with Massimo!

After reading the letter Luca sent me.

I already have my pencil and paper out and begin writing!

'Dear Luca,

Life in Portorosso is awesome! Everything is perfect! Especially my new job! Im kinda the greatest fisherman in the entire world, besides Massimo of course.
We're like pasta and pesto, Im gonna be the perfect employee and Ill make Massimo proud. I think he'll come around.'

After finishing it, I also wanna add in something else.

'Another thing, during a few deliveries, I met this girl, she is the most prettiest girl I have ever seen, just like Guilia.

Every day she'll be outside selling flowers and give the people their coffees.

She was super nice and really kind to me. I think Im gonna ask her to hang out with me.

Ciao, Alberto'

Perfecto! I looked around the town, to see the lovely view of the ocean and the colorful buildings.

Until I stumbled across seeing the same girl I was thinking about!
It looks like she's talking to Massimo by the boats.

Oh! Maybe I should go and say hi to her!

I climbed down the hide out while Machiavelli follows me from behind, once I made my way over to them, I greeted with a smile on my face!

"Ciao!"

Then the two looked at me, especially the girl...

I feel something that's stopping me...

I don't know what to say or move...I feel like frozen ice...

"Huh...uhh..."

She raised an eyebrow then Massimo cleared his throat.

"Alberto, I would like you yo meet Y/n, one of my friend's daughters."

Y/n...wow...her name suits her beauty.

"Y/n, this is Alberto..."

I looked up at him and back to her.

"...my son"

Then I see Y/n smile at me...looking all fiddlely if that's a real word...

"Its nice to finally meet you Alberto, Massimo told me all about you."

Huh? I looked up at the big guy.

He raised his eyebrows and winked.

"Uhh..." Quick! do the same thing.

"P-Piacere...Alberto knows all of you..." I stuttered and heard Massimo laughed.

"Oh Alberto...well, Im off to run errands with hed pappa, while you two get along."

Am I sleeping? Because I feel like I'm sleeping right now...no...I feel hungry...what's going on with me?!

She nods "Si Massimo, Ciao!"

Then Massimo kneeled before me, patted my shoulder.

"You watch over her while Im gone for an hour."

I nodded and salute "Yes sir!"

He stood up and walked off, leaving me with Y/n alone.

I looked to see her face, she does the same thing.

Why can't I say anything? Maybe I should try to impress her...but what...

"I was thinking we could get gelato's, we'd get to know each other on the way there." She said while fixing her big hat covering her long/short hair.

"Oh! Y-yeah sure! Hey wait a minute...I thought you know all about me~"

Then she laughed...

Wow! I made her laugh!

Does that mean she's my girlfriend?!

"No silly, Massimo told me a few things about you."

Oh! That makes a bit of sense.

So we began walking down to the gelato shop, while I was curious about a few things he told her about.

"So what kind of things did Massimo told you?" I asked.

"Well that your really sweet, fun and sometimes a little hard to work with."

Yeah...understandable..."

"And handsome."

I turned red once she said that!!

Wow...he actually told her I was handsome?

"Well, am I?~" I teased while scooting myself closer to her face, but she playfully shoved me away.

"Si, Si you are!" She laughed under her breath and continued to blush.

Once we made it to the shop, she held my hand when we entered inside...her hand is so soft and gentle feeling...it makes me not wanna let go.

"Which flavor would you like?" She asked and I search around, then I saw one which was a pink strawberry! My personal favorite.

"That one." I pointed out the flavor.

"Same."

Wow! We both like the same gelato.

She paid for the gelato, and we walked out to sit by a table outside of the shop.

We enjoyed the view of the locals walking by and children playing ball...its nice alright...but my view was her...

I under if she likes me...

"So Y/n."

"Si?"

I scratched the back of my head and took a deep breath. "I don't wanna sound too weird but...do you have a thing for guys? Like a sort of type?"

Im not sure if Massimo told her I was a sea monster. Let's see how she answers.

"Well let's see..." She turned her body to my direction and is thinking.

"I like guys who are different, not showing off too much, accepting for who they are and has to be good with kids and animals, also very sweet and fun."

Wow...Im almost most of that...Im good with anything!

"T-that almost sounded like me." I said and she turned her head to me.

"Oh really? I mean, I don't see anything different about you."

I smirked down at her "oh I'm different alright, you just don't know that~"

Wow...that came out good on my mouth...felt smooth.

"Alright then, care to explain to me?" She leaned herself against the table.

I tried to think but I got one in my mind, hope she doesn't freak out.

"Well, Im a se-"

"Meow.." I jumped to see Machiavelli popping out of nowhere. I tripped backwards from my chair and fell on my back.

Ouch...

"Dio mio Alberto! are you alright?" Y/n said while she held my head up and placed her other hand on my chest.

"Y-yeah...Machiavelli..." I growled at him while he starts licking my gelato on the table...

Well play furball meow meow...

"My goodness your heart is beating very fast..." She said and helped me up.

"Im fine Y/n don't worry."

"Are you sure?"

She looked up at me, still having her hand pressed against my chest.

Her eyes shined from the sun, I couldn't bare myself...she was so beautiful...

Then my head starts spinning...I start to feel...negativity...

Bruno...

"Alberto?"

I doze from my head and backed away from her.

Her face expression showed fear once I did so...oh no...

This is bad...

"I-Im sorry, was I too close?" She asked...

Ugh...why is this so hard?!?!

"Im sorry Y/n..."

I start running down to the water...just wanted to be alone...

"A-Alberto!!"

I sat by the waves...looking down at my webbed feet...having the water hit them repeatedly...

Ugh...Bruno is telling me that she'll hate me if she found out I was a monster...saying she prefers guys that are not me...

I teared up telling Bruno to shut up...

"Silenzio Bruno...Silenzio Bruno..."

I keep saying that but he kept repeating that Im a worthless boy who doesn't deserve her...

Then I heard footsteps coming from behind...

"Alberto?..."

I felt a hand on my shoulder...I pushed it away and curled myself up...

"Alberto your scaring me...was it something I did that offended you?..."

Hearing her voice fears me...I don't think I'll hear again after confessing to her...

"Y/n...it's not your fault..." I said and I wiped the tears off my face...seeing my sea form around my fingers.

"Then was is it, tell me..." She shifts behind me, looking over at me by the side...

I want to look up at her but I couldn't...

"If you don't wanna tell me...it's okay...just take your ti-"

"I LIKE YOU ALRIGHT?!" I shout at her and she jumped off of me...

Great...I screwed up again...

"E-excuse me?.."

I sighed and got up from the ground and turned to look down at her.

"I really like you Y/n! I think you are the most prettiest girl in Portorosso! Seeing you always makes me so happy inside...Your eyes, your smile, your hair, Everything about you is perfect! You know what...scratch Portorosso...you are the most prettiest girl in the whole world!."

Tears start to leak down to my face.

"But I'd know you wouldn't be with a guy like me...Im just scared that you wouldn't like me because I really am different..."

Her face is still shocked...great...she hates me already...

"I just fear of losing a new amazing friend..."

I crossed my arms and looked back down to the water...looking down at my reflection..

Then I see another face by my side.

Y/n walked over into the water and made me look into her face by holding my face.

"Alberto...I am nothing like those girls...I wouldn't care if you are that different, I'd still hang out with you, it makes you unique."

I looked into her eyes and she wiped my tears with her thumb.

"Do you really mean that about me? Being the prettiest girl in the world?"

I slowly nodded...

"To Infinity and beyond.." I said and we continued to look into our eyes.

Then she leans her face closer to me and I feel her lips on mine...

Santa madreperla she's kissing me!!

I tried not to hesitate but I tripped backwards into the water.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and I sat up, seeing her face...it's not fear I see...instead she looks all lovey dovey...

"Massimo was right...you look handsome in your sea monster form."

Woah!! He did tell her!!

She cupped my face and pulled me back for another kiss.

Her lips we're so soft and sweet tasting.

I pressed my head against hers, staring into her eyes.

"Does this mean I'm your boyfriend?" I asked.

She giggled and fiddled with my sea hair. "I don't know, perhaps."

I never felt this happy since Luca left..

Speaking of Luca...I need to write him a letter!!

"Meow."

I turned to see Machiavelli giving me that smirk of his...

"Machiavelli why do you do this to me?.." I asked while Y/n giggled.

Back at home, I was laying in bed having a paper and pencil on hand. It's been a crazy week for me...I began writing.

Dear Luca,

For the past few days was crazy!

Me and Massimo got a long like he was my father, he was so much fun and had so many stories about him and his father bonded.

Then about the girl I've been seeing by the coffee shop, it appears that we are mates!

She said that she likes guys that are different and sweet.

I can't wait to see you soon and maybe you two should meet! I think you'll like her too!
