About a week had passed since Seo-Yun had asked me on a date and we still had yet to do so. On the bright side though, we had been texting daily since then. We were actually right in the middle of the when and where our date would be conversation right now.
Seo-Yun: How about the movies? Dinner? Do you like to roller skate?
Y/n: All of the above?
Seo-yun: Works for me. Tonight at 7?
Y/n: Sounds perfect!
After that I send him my address so he knew where to pick me up tonight and then I hurried to get ready. I definitely didn't need to get ready so early but It's just how I was.
I didn't want to feel like I had to rush so I'd make sure I was ready way before hand so I'd feel better. So that's exactly what I always did.
I hopped into the shower, making sure to shave and do the whole routine. Afterwards I made my way into my bedroom, the towel wrapped tightly around me as I headed to my closet.
The main question was a dress or be casual? I didn't exactly care much for dresses unless I had to so I was leaning more towards not too dressy but not to comfortable.
I grabbed a pair of black jeans and a fuzzy rusty orange sweater. I tucked the sweater into the front of the pants and grabbed a black belt to throw on with it. I then grabbed a black pair of boots and pulled them on.
Afterwards I did my hair and threw on a tiny bit of makeup. Not too much but just enough to make my eyes pop. Then I made my way to the bathroom for finishing touches. I brushed my teeth, put on some deodorant and perfume, then headed out to the living room to sit around and wait until seven.
Honestly I was nervous. I wasn't sure what to expect tonight but at the same time I was super excited. Seo-Yun was a very sweet guy and after talking for a week straight I was excited to see where it goes.
In the back of my mind I couldn't help but to think of Hoseok. I hadn't seen him since that day I hung out with everyone and I couldn't stop thinking about how he acted. It just felt, strange.
I wasn't going to assume anything since there wasn't really anything to assume but still, something about the way he acted made me feel, I don't know, hopeful.
Shaking the thought, I turned on a show to pass the time and soon enough seven o'clock rolled around. When I heard a knock on my door I felt the nerves rise.
As I opened the door I came face to face with Seo-Yun and his bright smile. "You look great." Is the first thing he says to me as he extends his arms, exposing a bouquet of flowers.
"Thank you, so do you and what is this? You didn't have to." I say, not being able to contain my smile. "I wanted to." He grins, his green eyes smiling along with him.
"They're beautiful. Here, come in while I put them in some water." I say, taking them from him and walking towards the kitchen. "Nice place." He says from behind me as I pull out a vase and begin filling it with water.
"Thank you." I say as I place the flowers in the water then set the vase on the counter for everyone to see. (By everyone I meant me and Seo-Yun.)
"Ready to go?" He asks and I nod, letting him guide me out the door. I lock up behind us then we head out.
We go to the movies first, seeing some new movie that had just released and then we went to dinner at a pretty fancy restaurant. Then we got to the skate rink, where things were sorta crazy. That mostly being because I couldn't skate.
"Why would you suggest here if you can't skate?" Seo-Yun asked, laughing as I nearly slipped for the thousandth time tonight.
"I thought it would be fun." I say, steadying myself by grabbing onto his arm without a second thought. "Oh, sorry." I say as I go to pull away but Seo-Yun places his arm on mine, stopping me.
"No, it's okay. Here." He says as he holds his hand out, wiggling his fingers. I stared down at it for a moment before grabbing his hand, him intertwining our fingers together.
"I won't let you fall." Seo-Yun grins, causing me to melt at his smile. I swear his smile was so beautiful. "Thank you." I say, feeling my cheeks heat up. "Of course."
He helped me skate around, knowing if I fell he'd fall too. By the end of it I had gotten the hang of it, feeling pretty good with my new found skills.
"You've gotten really good at this. Must be because of my awesome teaching skills." Seo-Yun smirked as he pulled me in closer to him so we weren't so far apart. "Must be." I grin, looking up to meet his eyes.
"You think so?" He asks, his eyes not leaving mine. "Definitely." I giggle, watching as he starts to lean in closer to me. I knew what he was going to do and my mind was doing summersaults as he leaned in and kissed me.
His lips were soft and tasted like the wine we had at dinner. Seo-Yun pulled me closer as he kissed me, his arms wrapped securely around my waist, leaving no space between the two of us.
When he pulled away he smiled, moving back my hair and pushing it behind my ear. "Ready to go?" He asks. I nod, getting ready to follow him out when someone from behind us speaks.
"Excuse us, we just need to-" but the voice stopped suddenly. I turned around to see who was speaking and was stunned when I saw Hoseok and some girl I had never seen before standing behind us.
The girl was standing close to Hoseok, her arm wrapped around his. My eyes couldn't look away, no matter how badly I tried. "Oh, sorry about that." Seo-Yun says, grabbing ahold of my hand and intertwining his fingers with mine again. "We were just leaving." He smiles as he nudges my shoulder gently.
Hoseok's eyes trailed down to our hands, a look on his face I couldn't understand at all.
My mind was full of so many things and yet I couldn't seem to think properly. All I could do was stare at the girl who was connected to Hoseok's arm. Who was she? Is she his girlfriend...?
"Y/n?" Seo-Yun asks from beside me, knocking me out of me thoughts. I break my eyes away and look up at him. "Hm?" Seo-Yun let out a slightly forced chuckle before saying, "Ready?"
"Yeah, sorry. Let's go." I say, sending one last glance in Hoseok's direction before following Seo-Yun out.
I couldn't think straight. I couldn't comprehend anything that had just happened. Hoseok had seen all of that. He saw us kissing and holding hands...not to mention Hoseok was there with who might potentially be his girlfriend.
No matter how hard I tried I couldn't shake this feeling in my chest.
The feeling of jealousy.
I had no right to be jealous yet here I was and it was killing me.
"Is everything okay?" Seo-Yun asked as we made it outside of the building. "Yeah, Um, everything is great." I say, forcing a smile up at him.
"Are you sure? You seem a little lost in thought. Was it the kiss? I'm so sorry I should have waited I just-"
"No, not at all. I enjoyed the kiss. It's just um..." I wasn't sure how to go about this. I didn't want to give him the wrong idea. "You can tell me, y/n. I'll understand." Seo-Yun says and I instantly feel bad.
Seo-Yun is a really great guy and I shouldn't get tangled up with him if I still have feelings for Hoseok....
"That guy back there was my first love." I say, avoiding his eyes. I felt bad. I heard Seo-Yun sigh a little as he shuffled in his spot. "Are you guys still close or?" He asked, sounding a bit worried.
"Not like we were, no. It's just a little uncomfortable being around him, ya know." I say. Seo-Yun was silent for a moment before he spoke.
"You're not still in love with him, are you?" I spoke instantly. "No, I'm not. It's not like that it's just-" I couldn't seem to find the right words.
"Let's just get you home, alright?" Seo-Yun said, sounding sad. I sighed, knowing I messed the night up.
"Yeah, okay." I say, frowning.
I had no other thought in my mind other then I just messed this up and I wasn't sure I could fix it...
