My alarm jolted me awake, alerting me that I had to be to work in exactly an hour. I let out a big yawn as I stretched across the whole bed. As I had expected, I was tired.

No matter how much I slept it never felt like enough.

Once I finally managed to get out of bed I hopped in the shower then got dressed for work. After a quick simple breakfast I grabbed my bag and made my way out the door.

Upon getting there I saw everyone hard at work, even this early in the morning. I wasn't sure how they were functioning but I was hoping I would get there at some point.

I sat down at my desk, yet another yawn escaping my lips. I needed coffee, an energy drink, something.

"Here." I hear a male voice say as a cup of coffee magically appears in front of me. "Can you read minds?" I ask, my eyes wide as I look up at the person in front of me.

I nearly choked on air as I saw a very attractive man I had never seen before standing there. "Nope, sadly. Just figured you'd need some." He laughs, brushing his black hair away from in front of his bright green eyes.

"Well thank you..." I trailed off, not sure what his name was seeing as I had never met him until today. "It's Seo-Yun, and you?" He asks, smiling brightly. He had a perfect smile too...

"Y/n. Nice to meet you." I say as I unintentionally push my hair behind my ear. A reflex when in the presence of a cute guy.

"It's a pleasure. Well I'll let you get back to it, y/n. Enjoy the coffee." He winks before he walks off. I felt myself smiling without even meaning to.

I shake it off and get to work.

Hours of working had passed and I was getting ready for my shift to finally end. I was getting hungry and wanted to get off so I could go grab something before I went home.

"Here's the rest of the papers for today. I'm heading out for the night. If you need anything else added just send me an email." I say as I hand the work over to my nearest co worker.

"Thanks, have a good night!" She says as I sling my bag over my shoulder. "You too!" I say before making my way towards the door.

"Off already?" I hear just as I go to reach for the door handle. I spin around to see Seo-Yun walking up to me. "Yup, you too?" I ask, seeing his bag also on his shoulder.

"No, just taking a break. I was just heading out to get some food. I'm starving." He chuckles. "Oh really, I had the same plans." I laugh and he grins widely.

"Wanna go grab something together real quick? I'll pay as a welcome to the company gift." Seo-Yun says and I instantly object. "Oh no, you don't have to do that." I say. I had just met the guy today there was no way I would let him pay for my food.

"Oh come on, it's no big deal. Besides, you haven't gotten a paycheck yet right? It'll be my treat."

The look on his face was convincing enough. He had somewhat of a baby face and big puppy dog eyes. It was hard to say no to him, no matter how long you had known him.

"Okay but I'll pay you back when I get paid I promise." I say seriously. "Great! What do you like, Sushi or Chinese?"

In the end I let him choose. He was paying after all, he might as well enjoy whatever we were going to get. He decided on sushi.

After we got the food we stood outside the shop for a second. "I wish we could eat inside but I've got to get back. This was fun though, maybe we can do it again sometime, outside of work..." Seo-Yun trailed off.

I could tell by his tone of voice he was hinting at something. Hinting at a date.

"Uh, yeah, maybe." I say, my mind instantly going to Hoseok. Now that I was back I couldn't help but to want to fix things, to see if it would lead us anywhere...

As much as I wanted that I also didn't know if Hoseok was seeing someone or not. What if he had a girlfriend of someone he was interested in, then what?

"Actually, sure." I then say, causing Seo-Yun's face to light up. "Great! Um, could I get your number then?" He asks and of course I wasn't going to say no so I gave it to him.

"I'll see you tomorrow. Have a good night, y/n." Seo-Yun says with a smile before he turns on his heels and makes his way back towards the work building.

When he disappeared from my line of sight I noticed I was smiling without even meaning to. Even though I had no idea what was going to happen with me and Hoseok, I knew I couldn't hold on to any false hope.

Maybe this would be good for me. Maybe he was a really great guy and it would work out. Maybe just maybe this time will be different...

Once I got back to my house I put away the leftover sushi and plopped down on the couch. I then turned on the tv and wrapped myself in a blanket.

Every so often I would find myself checking my phone, hoping for a text from Seo-Yun. I knew he was working so I didn't actually expect a text but the thought sorta made me feel excited.

What can I say, he was cute and I had been single for quite some time now. The last time I was in a relationship was probably a good two or so years ago. After awhile I sorta just stopped dating because no one was really filling the part of my life that seemed to be missing.

That being said I just gave up. I focused on myself and gave up the dating scene. It just didn't feel right trying to replace the one thing I knew couldn't be replaced...

The part of Hoseok I had lost the day I left...

I was hoping this time was different. Seo-Yun seemed like a really great guy and I was looking forward to getting to know him.

All I could do was take it day by day and see where it goes. In the end, what is meant to be will be and whatever happens is for a reason.

With that thought alone, I think I'll be okay.

It should all be okay.
