"Hey Babe, what are you doing?" Ardeth asked walking into the kitchen startling Sherlyn in process.

"Checking the temperature in the fridge." Sherlyn said with a nervous smile.

"Then, what are you hiding behind you?" Ardeth asked with his forehead creased.

"It's the spoon." Sherlyn said showing the spoon.

"If you are eating ice-cream from the fridge, no need to lie to me." Ardeth rolled his eyes, "Infact you can share a spoon or two with me, and I will be a happier person." He said moving towards the fridge. "You can eat ice-cream without hiding it from me."

"I don't feel like eating ice-cream now." Sherlyn said putting the spoon away.

"You were craving for it few minutes ago and now you don't feel like eating?" Ardeth smiled.

"Yes, pregnancy does that to you." Sherlyn smiled. "Let's go watch some movies." She said moving towards the living room.

"Fine then." Ardeth shook his head, "If not you then I am in mood for icecream." He said opening the fridge door.

"Wait, don't eat my icecream."

"It's okay, I will take one scoop and I will buy you a few more tubs and snacks tomorrow." Ardeth said opening the tub. "It's empty" he said looking at Sherlyn.

"I ate all icecream." Sherlyn said looking abashed.

"Hmm... Let's go get a new tub then."

"No, Ardeth." Sherlyn shook her head, "I don't feel like having ice cream now."

"What about when you feel like eating and there is no icecream in the refrigerator?" He raised his brow, "Let's go get it." He said walking towards the door grabbing his coat.

As he walked towards the door, he turned around realising Sherlyn wasn't following him.

As his eyes searched for her, he found her hunching over the table looking pale, trying hard to keep her eyes open.

"Sherlyn..." Ardeth ran towards her direction and held her in his hands before she could passout.

"Ardeth? What happened?" James, who came running inside the hospital with Elizabeth following him, gasped.

"I don't know, she was all good and then suddenly she passed out." Ardeth sniffed his red eyes looking at the door of the room, Sherlyn was taken into.

"Did you speak with the doctor? What did they say?"

"They are running tests and they will know the reason only after they get the results." Ardeth answered, "I can't live if anything happens to Sherlyn or Nugget, I know I am not the best boyfriend or father out there but they are the only best things I have in my life..."

James wrapped his hand around Ardeth's shoulder as the latter watched the door of the room without blinking his eye.

"Don't worry Son, My Pumpkin s a strong girl, and I am sure your babygirl is stronger than her mother. They are going to back home fit and healthy." James assured.

"Ms. Priestly's family?" Dr.White called out walking towards James and Ardeth, gesturing them towards her cabin.

"Mr.Sky..."

"Are Sherlyn and my baby fine?" Ardeth asked interrupting the doctor.

"They are fine." Dr.White said making Ardeth take in a deep breathe of relief, "as of now." She continued.

"What does that mean?" Ardeth questioned.

"Mr.Sky, Sherlyn and the baby are having nutrition deficiency, this could have been caused because of not taking proper meals or skipping the meals or supplements. This is the reason why Sherlyn fainted today, her glucose levels are low, which is because she didn't have proper diet. And the baby is also having under weight, which might give raise to complication going forward."

"What can be done now, Dr.White?" James asked.

"I will prescribe some supplements, but she should also have a proper healthy meal time on time." Dr.White said scribbling the notes on the paper.

"Thank you, Dr.White." James said, "We will make sure, she is healthy."

"You young lady, you scared your baby father and your father, they both are literally crying for you." Elizabeth said to Sherlyn sitting beside her bed."Your father was helping me with my grandma's table when he got the call, he almost dropped it down, his hands were shivering, I was sure he wasn't in a right condition to drive, so I drove him here."

"Thanks Elizabeth, and sorry for the trouble." Sherlyn said.

"Don't be sorry." Elizabeth said, "and I can do this much for all the help your father and boyfriend did to me."

"Hey Pumpkin." James said walking inside the room. "How are you and my grand baby doing?"

"Hi Pa, we are good." Sherlyn said with a weak smile, and crooked her head to look at Ardeth, who was standing behind James.

"We will wait outside." James said nodding at Elizabeth, and they both walked out leaving Sherlyn and Ardeth in the privacy of the room.

Ardeth stood by the door, looking at Sherlyn in silence.

Sherlyn gestured Ardeth to come closer, and he walked and sat on the chair beside the bed.

"We are fine." Sherlyn said holding his hand in hers, which made Ardeth break into tears and hug her tight hovering over her on the bed.

"Shh....I am fine, and Nugget is also fine. Sorry to scare you." Sherlyn said as she ran her fingers through Ardeth's hair trying to calm him down.

"When I saw you faint in my hands, I..." Ardeth's voice broke.

"I know, I am sorry." Sherlyn said looking at Ardeth.

"Dr.White said that you are not taking proper diet, why are you not eating well? Didn't I tell you to let me know if you are craving for anything?" Ardeth asked keeping his head on Sherlyn's shoulder as he drew lazy circles on her palm.

"I am eating food, may be because I was busy with exams last week, my eating pattern changed a bit."

"I was telling you, not to stress more but you were taking a lot of stress, and I know that you have a bad influence on you."

"Nick is a good guy." Sherlyn scrunched her face.

"I know him since we are in Kindergarten, do you think I don't know how he skips meals break when he has exams, since he doesn't want to waste time." Ardeth asked raising his brow.

"Sorry." Sherlyn smiled.

"Don't ever scare me like you did." Ardeth said kissing her fingers.

"Hey, are you guys decent?" Nick asked knocking on the door.

"Go away, Roy." Ardeth rolled his eyes.

"Thanks for the warm welcome, Sky." Nick smiled brightly walking inside the room, with Collin following him. "Hey Cherry tomato, how are you feeling?"

"I am fine, Nick." Sherlyn smiled.

"Good thing, if not Sky would be raining with tears and created storms, and thunders all over." Nick said looking at Ardeth, who rolled his eyes.

"It's because of you idiot, she is in this condition, you dragged her to study groups with you day and night." Ardeth said.

"For starters it's because you forgot there is a thing called protection." Nick gave back.

"Hey, can you both stop your banter." Collin said stepping between Ardeth and Nick. "Hey Sherlyn, do you need anything from the cafeteria?"

"Cheese burger, please."

"Hey Bae, take Sky with you, I am sure he wouldn't have eaten anything." Nick rolled his eyes.

"Yes Ardeth, you go and have food." Sherlyn said.

"Okay, give me a call if you need anything." Ardeth said kissing her forehead and walked out with Collin.

"What's the matter?" Nick asked Sherlyn with all seriousness, once Ardeth and Collin left.

Sherlyn raised her brow.

"Come on, Sherlyn, do you think I wouldn't know that you are stress about something and that has nothing to do with our exams."

"Nick..."

"I feel you like my baby sister more than a friend, and I need a honest answer."

"I am worried about Ardeth." Sherlyn sighed, "He is stressing out so much for us, he is managing studies, soccer and doing a job for us. I feel guilty thinking I am the reason for his troubles, and I feel, what Tristan said was right, if not for me, he could have accepted the alliance with his father's ally and made his way into the Soccer team, with the influence and money of his father."

"And do you think Ardeth is guy, who would dance on his father's tunes because that fucker got money?"

"There are possibilities, and future is always unpredictable."

"Sherlyn, you are the best thing that has ever happened to Ardeth, and I am happy that it happened. Finally after many years I am seeing Ardeth happy, credits to you. I know he is going through a rough phase but I am sure this is not a permanent one. He will come back with a bang, but you stressing out because of it and risking yours and the baby's health is a big No."

"I wish I could help him some way with his fights." Sherlyn sighed.

"You are already helping him by hanging on tight to his side, that's enough. Don't stress yourself out, and if there is anything that's stressing you, please feel free to share it with me. I am your friend now and forever."

"Thank you, Nick." Sherlyn said smiling at Nick. "For being here for us and our baby girl."

"It's a girl!" Nick exclaimed.

"Yes." Sherlyn smiled, "We thought of organising a gender reveal party this weekend to reveal the gender of the baby, but now you know."

"Oh my god!!! I am so happy for you two." Nick said hugging Sherlyn.

"What are you so happy about?" Collin asked walking inside the room with Ardeth.

"You will know." Nick winked at Collin.
