Chapter : 29
"Living in favourable and unfavorable situation is part of living but smiling in all those situation is Art of living."
Misha's POV:
Oh no, how did he came to know about all these?
I knew he would be so angry with Mom, So I was the one who always stopped from saying the truth but now everything is messed up and the worst part is he came to know about it from someone else...man, who must have told him?
"I was very clear enough when I said I don't want to get married again but you never listened to me. So I used my ways to cancel it but still you cheated on me, Mom." He said further. His voice was deep and also he looked so angry but still there was hurt in his eyes.
"You are my mother, you were supposed to understand me but what you did? You fooled me. You fooled your own son. I don't know what made you do all this but one thing I can say for sure and that is, you destroyed my life."
"Varun." His name came out of my mouth. what he said was wrong and I wished to stop him then and there. However, he just raised a hand towards me, telling me to stop.
"I'm not talking to you." He said.
"Please Don't say that." Mom pleaded as more tears came down her cheeks.
"Why mom? Why did you even do that?" He asked again.
"For your happiness. I never wish to see you unhappy for the rest of your life." Mom answered in her broke voice.
"Marrying was not my happiness mom, I love Tanvi. Marrying and starting a new life again was not something I ever wanted."
"It hurts me every time I look at her picture, It makes me feel guilty. It makes me realize that I cheated on her." He said making me totally numb now. Every time he say something about Tanvi or our 'never-going-to-be-good' marriage, I get scared because it makes me realize that though being his wife, I'm going to stay single for the rest of my life.
"Tanvi was not with me but I was happy. I didn't had any kind of weight on my chest of cheating her but now I do. Every time I look at Tanvi's picture and every time I look at her I realize that we are never going to be happy. I can't accept her as my wife." He said referring to me. wow, did he just cared for me?
"I trusted you more than anyone Mom but you broke it. As a mother you were supposed to support me however you simply betrayed me." he said as tears fell from his eyes. man, please don't cry. I can't see you crying.
"Varun listen to me." Dad tried to say but he stopped him as well.
"No dad. I don't want to listen. I heard you both last night, trust me nothing broke my heart more than knowing that you knew about this as well and yet you didn't say anything to me."
oh, so he heard mom and dad talk. ok, that's the reason he looked so disturbed.
"We were best friends, right Dad? Do best friends break our trust? You did!"
"Did you knew about this Janvi?" He asked looking at her, she didn't replied, she just looked down at the floor.
"Everyone. Every single one of you cheated me. I'm ashamed to call you my family."
wrong said man.
He moved from there before anyone could say anything. I tried to stop him but my poor leg was however in much pain that made me difficult to run behind but that was not going to stop me, I went behind him.
"Varun stop." I said however he ignored it.
"Varun please listen to me, please." I begged but he ignored again so I increased my speed, went and stood in front of him.
"Let me go." he demanded.
"No. I can't and I won't."
"Misha leave me alone. Please let me go." he said again.
"Varun you are angry at this moment I can't let you go, please try to understand."
"Why can't you understand? Just me go." He said and pushed me aside. man, why is he so rough?
"Varun please stop. Please don't go."
"What do you want? Just because Mom lied to you that doesn't make you innocent. You should have told me the truth, if you really loved me."
"Ok ok. I agree. I was selfish. I should have told you, my mistake but please don't anywhere." I pleaded again however he again told me to leave him alone.
"Varun please, please listen to me. Don't go." I said holding his hand, luckily he stopped, so I immediately removed my hand before he could.
"What do you want? Why can't you just leave me alone?"
"You are angry and I can't let you go out in this situation. You want to take your frustration out, take it on me. Beat me, say me anything, I will be ok but please don't go." I begged literally joining my palms in front of him. He looked at me with a different kind of emotion which I was not able to read.
"Please." I said again and saw him throwing away his car keys. He went and sat on the other side of the foreground. finally.
I wished to go and have a word with him but then again leaving him alone was right thing to do at this moment, so I took the keys and went inside our house, only to see Mom crying and both Dad and Janvi consoling her. It's my mistake that I always stopped her from saying the truth, maybe things would have been different if she would have said it herself.
"I'm sorry Mom." I said as I went beside her.
"No, I'm sorry. I destroyed your life, I destroyed my own son's life. I'm a very bad mother." she said and hugged me crying more this time. No, this is not true. I messed everything!
"Mom listen, please don't blame yourself. Varun said all those things in anger and I'm sure he will be sorry about it once his anger fades. You didn't do anything to me, marrying him was my decision as well. Don't blame yourself, please." I said and saw at most admiration in her eyes.
"I'm so lucky that I met you. You are too kind, we don't deserve you." She said crying more. I tried to console her and after lot of efforts she stopped crying. She even told me take care of Varun because he has a habit of not sharing his sorrows with anyone, he suffers them alone.
"Are you still not going to tell me what made you to lie?" I asked as she got up to leave.
"It's nothing like you think." She said resting her hand on my head. damn, what is she hiding?
"Ok." I replied and went out of the house grabbing a water bottle with me.
As I went out I saw Varun sitting on the swing, hands folded and eyes focused on the dark sky. Slowly I went towards the place where he was.
"Go away from here." I heard him saying. Sorry, I'm not going to do that. I took the chair from tea-table, placed it beside the swing and sat on it. There was more than enough place for me to sit on the swing, however I knew sitting there would make Varun go to another side of the ground and I don't have enough energy to run behind him again.
I wanted to ask and tell him so many things but I decided to keep quite. I had very strong feeling that he will speak first, so I was waiting for him and yes, he did.
"What made mom do this to me?" He asked with his eyes still on the sky. I never thought I will have to tell you about this when I don't have any proof but I guess, I don't have any other option.
"Please believe me when I say this, I don't exactly know what made her do this but I swear there is something she is hiding from everyone. I asked her several times but she is not ready to tell the truth."
"Rubbish." He commented making me glare at him, even he saw that.
"Do you really think what I said is rubbish? Didn't I told you to trust me? Can't you believe me for once?" I asked looking straight at him. I was angry for the comment he made on a very serious topic I told him.
"What now?" I asked as I saw him looking at me.
"Whenever you are angry you always remind me of my school teacher, she looked same when she used to be angry." He said as we both laughed.
"Here." I said passing the bottle to him and this time even he took it without making any excuses.
"Thank you. I will go now, Isha is alone."
"Sure." I replied and saw him going inside the house whereas I went and sat on the swing thinking of everything that happened today.
I need to find out why mom lied but more than that I'm worried about what Varun said earlier about us. If he won't be able to accept me as his wife what will happen? What am I going to do then?
