Karen's pov...

The next morning I woke up with  determination. To get the answers I deserve to know what's the truth .

Does he really like me. ? I wonder what he thinks of me ?
That kiss.
That kiss still give me chills and shiver throughout my body . The soft peck , the teasing.
Ah ! Can't get enough .

Surely I have to give my explanation for running away again .

Why do I always run away..

As much as I try . I cannot trust people too easily . It's difficult for me to open up, to let someone in ,
to let them close to me and be vulnerable . They can hurt me . They can break my heart. They can cause me pain. It has happened in the past .
And that thought scares me till now .

Can he be really different ?

"Hey kay, court , lilly  , get ready we are going for a pool party " Laura came rushing in.

Ah! The trouble came so soon ...

"Man !  A pool party? " Lily questioned .

"Yes, and in the evening there will be treasure hunt games" Laura explained excitedly .

"Guess someone is too much excited " Courtney exclaimed ...

" Of course , haven't you heard me , girls it's a  pool party .. you know we can show off  ourselves!" Laura said.

" Umm , can I stay in"? I said thinking about the questionnaire I had to do today .

"No"
"No"
" Hell noo!
All three of them said simultaneously .

"No wayy! You are going . You will flaunt yourself up. Forget about him for a while and enjoy this ." Lilly said .

"Before you have to talk spend some time having fun kay, you already look so tensed " laura said next to me .

"And this fun thing will clear your head up" Courtney said.

Agreeing to them , I changed my mind .
we picked up our clothes ..
Of course it was a pool party. The girls were deciding on their outfits .

And here I'm thinking about what should i actually ask him .

Why did you kiss me ?
Was it good ?
Duhhh stop .

Um I ran cause you have a girlfriend !.

Lord ! Why am I giving explaination!.

Okay , Kristian you have a girlfriend then why did you kiss me out of no where ?

Yes ! Exactly !
Calm and collected..

Act normal it isn't a big deal .

Only to realise it is to me . Ever since the grey eyed guy came into my life I haven't been thinking straight. He is everywhere I go.

Does the destiny thing really works ?

Then how come destiny decided that he will be in a relationship already .

He even kissed me but he is still with her .
Is it really worth it ??

Will I make a complete fool out of myself  by asking him this ?

"Am I a fool" I suddenly said ..

"Wearing a crop top with some shorts isn't that much of a thing that a fool would do".Courtney said suddenly.

"Ops , I'm  sorry I was just thinking..

"About kristian?" Lilly asked .

I didn't answer them how can I ?
Guess I'm just a mess .

" Hey you, cheer up , we are with you kay"Laura came and hugged me .

"Ah , I just love group hugs also I love you kay" lilly hugged too.

" Ohh! How can I be left out! Don't worry kay we're here " courtney hugged ..

And at that moment I knew they would stay forever here with me .
All the past judgements that I faced.
As a kid I didn't  really had many friends . I used to rely on one person whom I used to call my best friend but in the end she ditched me too. After that day i didn't had the courage to open up to anyone new. I became an introvert that no one would look or talk too ..
A person who chooses to  hide in the back of the class room so that no one would even realise that she exists.
And no one would even care .
The kids used to make fun of me sometimes . I used to cry about it in my bedroom . As a kid I had my brother to protect me and to play with me whenever I was low .
But as our dad passed away he became cold he became distant ..
At first i thought it was because of me but now I don't even know anymore .

These thoughts passed through my mind in seconds as soon as they all hugged me .
They weren't selfish . They didn't make fun of me . They were there on my first day and till now they are here ..
Guess I found my little family in college .

" Ah ! You're crying again kay " courtney exclaimed .

Wiping my tears with  some tissue i was grateful that they all were here with me .

"And don't worry if that stone heart hurts you one more time I'm gonna punch him too bad " Lilly said .

"That guy is gonna get an earful .. " Laura said .

"You know you have us , and you know we are here through thick and thin . Just go and talk to him today . And now  ( wiping my tears ) you have to get ready and show all the sexiness out there cause we all are gonna rock this pool party" Courtney said .

We all decided to get ready . Lilly and courtney decided to wear dresses for the party .. while Laura decided on top and mini skirt and as for me , I was wearing a crop top and some shorts .

Well! Me and my girls looked gorgeous.

I bet he'd be staring

Lemme trust my conscience for once .. and if I get a chance I wouldn't miss it ..

We all walked in the party . The party was in full swing. The people were  really having fun after the play I guess ..
There's some music along with snacks on one side and complete opposite had some games.. behind that was a counter for drinks .
And in the middle of that was the  swimming pool that the resort had .
The location was beautiful .
Some were sun bathing and some were playing games and dancing on some music.

And the group that we were looking for were sitting on the left side of the pool.

We walked slowly towards the pool.

" Hey , let's sit beside the pool " Laura said.

"Yeah , from there we can see the view".lilly exclaimed .

"You're right ,lilly" Courtney said ..

By view they meant Eric , Sam and Archie they were already in the pool . We sat by the pool, opposite to them  . My friends were cheering me up ..then suddenly I hear the voice i didn't even wanted to  hear at that point of time .

"Hey baby , come out now" nova was shouting on top of her voice.

Can't she just keep her mouth shut for a while .
The attention seeker she is .

And he turns up from below the surface of water .
Water dripping from his hair to his neck and going over his toned body . He ran his hands through his hair and guess my heart just melted for a while.

Gosh ! The beauty
Yeah , that beauty is cheating too
Such a heartless player .

As much as I appreciate his hotness I couldn't deny the fact that he is a cheater. Even though knowing he is hurting his girlfriend by kissing someone .

He is hurting that someone by being with his girlfriend ..

Breakup already!!!

If it was my say , I would tell him to breakup right away .. but before that I have to talk to him . I was looking at him.

He got out of the pool .  He went over to where his group were and he sat with them. His girlfriend came up with a towel .
She started drying his hair.. and as soon  as she started he looked over  to where i was sitting .

I was suddenly so conscious of myself.
He was staring or glaring I couldn't decipher .
I shivered under his gaze and I couldn't even keep up the staring game. He looked all over me and I was stunned to even look at him constantly .

Noticing my discomfort . Laura asked me if i wanna go and have a drink .

I said yes immediately .

We both left courtney and lilly to have a mocktail . Guess it was  a non alcoholic  one . And neither I nor any of my friends drink alcohol so that was only a fair drink to have .

" Man , the tension between you too is just amazing " Laura said siping her drink .

" It's not a tension, it's just a staring game that he plays. I mean , like what in the world does he even think of himself .
I blabbed on while drinking .

"First he kissed me , then he is with his girlfriend I mean just why?.
Why did he kissed me Laura ?"

"Umm, Karen  ho..."

" No you listen to me Laura . He is just so confusing you know. One minute he seems so caring about me . And on the other he makes me feel as if I don't  even exists.

"But Karen I think..."

"No , he doesn't like me . Hell ! He doesn't even love me . That kiss must be a mistake . He would be high on alcohol . He maybe he thought I was his girlfriend by mistake obviously " I started tearing up.

" And maybe he kissed me by mistake . He didn't even mean it I know . I know he doesn't feel anything.
It was just a mere game for him maybe . He must have kissed a lot of girls so I'm not even that special..
And you know Laura I would love to not to speak to him at all . You know I..."

"And why is that"?  He whispered in my ears suddenly . And I looked through my tearful eyes only to find Laura was  staring  at me and then behind me .

And hearing that I was just too silent to even make a sound.

How did he even came that close ?
How ??
I mean when ?

"Hey Kristian " Laura wished  him.

"Hie Laura" . He said back .

He knows her name .  How?
Well of course we all met at her house stupid .

"Um, Karen, I'll just come back okay?? She gave me a nod and left .

I just didn't had the courage to turn back ..
My eyes were tearing up even more . Seeing them together ..my emotions were all over the place .

I just cannot have this conversation now ..
I need to leave
I have to leave .

I took a step ahead only to get pulled back to a muscular chest.

"And we are running again are we ? " He whispered near my ears .

" I have too" I said with a tearful voice .

He turned me around and I allowed him too..  he wiped my tears . He tip my chin up with his forefinger .

"Look at me "

"I'm not gonna follow ...

"Just look".

I looked up and there was the grey eyed demon looking all concerned .

" We need to talk" he said .

" I know "

He caressed my cheeks.

"Wanna do it now"?  He asked

"I..."

"There's no point in  running is it ?"
He asked me .

And I guess there wasn't ..

He wiped my remaining tears.

"Let's talk" i said ..

He smiled at me and my fears vanished away for a while ..

Oh boy! I'm in trouble I guess...
