I would still risk it to be with you....

The days went into the practice sessions and finally the day came for our competition. Guess just like me everyone else is too excited .

We were all in the dressing room making the last minute preparation .

"Oh , man what if I forget my lines " Laura complained ...

"What if I completely screwed it up?" Lilly said ...

"Kay, what if..."

"Okay okay I get you all, i know you all are nervous but you don't need to be . This was all we were planning on and finally that day is here. You all will rock it I know."

"Hey Karen , help me with the settings please." Kevin said .

"Okay guys , it's time for me to play my part and I know you all will do well and we will surely rock the show.

I tried encouraging them. Bidding them goodbye I went to do my work.

Wonder where he is !.

From the past few days we both were completely avoiding each other. He was completely engrossed in the play and his girlfriend while I on the other hand was busy with the preparations ..

It's not like we didn't see each other . We did with stone hard glares.

It's a fun game, but often results in me crying in my bed and thinking about him. He doesn't care obviously. Soo far Soo good .

I went to resume my last minute preparation.
Our play was at the end which was the good part.

The show rolled on. Our seniors welcomed various other participants and the judges.

There were several plays and Romeo and Juliet was the particular one that stole everyone's heart away.

And now was the time for us to make our move.
The scene unfolded and every one was playing there part well.
Untill Mr Darcy walked in.
I heard few whispers backstage when he came in all his tuxedo. He looked handsome and hot not to add charming .

And here we were ignoring him.

But cannot deny the fact that he is quite the candy.

The way he spoke his voice held the authority. He held most of the attention.

Our play ended well with lots of cheers and applause. Everyone was so excited and the vibe felt pretty different.

"I wonder who Mr Darcy is " I heard few girls giggle behind me.

"Should we ask the girl ".

Are they talking about me ?

"Yeah, maybe she can surely tell us the name right . "

Well well well , I guess I can play a part too.

"Excuse me, "

"Um hi?"  I asked her questionally.

"Can you tell us who is playing that hot hunk Mr Darcy, I mean he is hot so I don't think you have to know why would we even ask you about him right? .. so please please tell us who Mr Darcy ..."

"That would be me"

I was about to answer his name when he came behind me and spoke suddenly.

Nice way of giving someone a heart attack.

"Hey .. I'm .... You did pretty well.. like the play .....I mean "

"Heard you, and thankyou." His voice seems so cold. I did not dare to turn .

"We were just asking her the name .. I mean if ..." The girls started to get nervous and here I am not even turning around . My heart wouldn't stop beating so fast when he is so close to me.

How did he even get here ?

"And my answer is no". And with that he walked off .

Harsh and rude were the words which were coming to my mind at that point of time .

Why is he so pissed?

As we were waiting for the results. Me ,Laura , Lilly and Courtney held each other's hands . I knew they did a fantastic work but they were hell nervous .

One of the judges came forward for the announcement,

"As we came to the end of the competition , we are so happy to announce the results. There were many plays that stole our heart and many of them made us emotional too. But one of them stood out so perfectly.
After all Mr Darcy stole all of us our hearts away, so the winning play is pride and prejudice."

As soon as we heard the name our college started cheering . And we ran off to the stage took the trophy . We were cheering . All of my friends were happy and they couldn't stop their smile . And I couldn't stop myself from smiling. They made it .
I congratulated everyone .
Even the queen bee.
We went backstage into our dressing rooms and we couldn't stop cheering and hootings.

I went to congratulate him. We shook hands as soon as  we removed our hands, she hugged him so hard and kissed him. While he looked at me.

I walked away congratulated everyone , not thinking about what I saw.

My girls gave me the look but I brushed that off . I don't need sadness cause today is the happy day for all of us and I wouldn't wanna spoil it.

"Okay guys, now that the trophy is ours , shall we organise a mini trip"? Kevin asked .

"Trip as in "? Courtney asked .

"Like you know beaches, camp fire , dancing and all the fun". Kevin said .

"Sounds good " everyone agreed.

"So any suggestions"?

"Golden gardens park?"

"We are going to relax and have few days off from the college think of a better one". Kevin said .

"What about, Richmond beach?" Kristian said.

"Sounds good man,so I'll organise and plan out as well as  print the circular out for the various information on the notice board . The more the merrier. So get ready for the trip guys " Kevin said.

All of us cheered. Much needed vacay.

Vacay with him.

Geez! I didn't think about this. I would be on a vacay with him and his girlfriend. Nothing can be worse.

"Kay"? Laura said .

"Yeah"?

"You are going !"

"But!"

" She is not asking Kay, and neither are we. "Courtney and Lilly came .

"I know what you saw and how you feel but this would be the time you can show how the game is played. " Lilly encouraged.

"Think about how hot other guys will be , you can make him jealous with you being all hot and sexy and he would come running to you". Courtney said .

"You cannot let him spoil this kay, this is our fun trip and we wouldn't let you miss it ." Laura said .

"I know and maybe yeah, maybe I can have fun, I don't even wanna think about him anyway. So yes , guys we will have fun" I say with all my enthusiasm.

With that we were ready for the trip. I don't even need to think twice for this. I know I'm ready. It was my time to enjoy and have fun and I'm all in for it as long as I stay away from him.

With these thoughts on I looked at him finding him looking at me already.

Let the show begin baby.  With these thoughts on I looked away.

Guess we are equal now .
