Belgium?
"Tomate, tomate, tomate." Chibi Romano sang to himself in a cheerful tone. The smile on his face bit into a tomato as he picked more along the way.
He heard whistling, and it became louder and louder to his left.
Spain!
Romano thought as he went looking for Spain. Instead he bumped into a female character.
Belgium.
"Hi little guy," she ruffled chibi Romano's curl accidentally.
"Hey, watch it!" He said, face becoming red as the tomatoes. Belgium was unsure if it was a blush or from anger.
"Sorry." She said with a smile on her face.
"What's going on here?" Romano heard a famiar voice, and looked at the person approaching them.
It was Spain.
"Spain!" Romano yelled as he hid behind Spain.
Spain looked at Romano then Belgium. "What're you doing here Belgium?" Spain asked holding Romano's small hand.
"Oh, right," Belgium said trying to remember, "I heard that you would be going on vacation soon, so I wanted to know if I could watch over your place until you get back." She said smiling.
Spain looked confused, "Who told you that? I mean, you're not wrong, but who told you?"
"Tell us!" Romano spat as he approached her out of anger.
"Okay okay," Belgium said holding up her hands in defense. "I was told by a little birdie."
"THAT DOESN'T TELL US ANYTHING!" Romano yelled hitting Belgium's legs.
"Sorry Romano, I'm only inclined to tell you that much." She said snickering at him.
Spain chuckled at Romano, "I would love it if you watched over my place. I'm going to be gone for a while though..." He said still chuckling.
Romano stopped hitting Belgium's legs and approached Spain slowly.
"How long are we going on vacation?" Spain was surprised to see Romano acting so calm.
Spain leaned forward to look at Romano more carefully. "Well, " he didn't know how to answer Romano. "We're going to be gone for a long time no doubt. I still need to fight that damn eyebrows!" He yells to the sky as he laughed, then he bent down towards Romano again. "But also so you and I can have some quality time together." He put up his index finger and winked.
Belgium stood there basking in the happiness. "Okay!" She said as she clapped her hands once to break the sudden silence. "When are you leaving!?"
Spain quit bending over and straightened his back to look at Belgium more at eye level. "We'll actually be leaving tonight, so in the mean time you can stay here and have some tomatoes!"
"Hey, bastard, those are for us!" Romano yelled as Spain and Belgium walked to the house with smiles on their faces.

Spains POV
Belgium, why?
I think as I look at her, her smiling face radiating in my dim halls. Romano lagged behind us, cursing under his breath.
Why did you have to visit?
"- and still Germany trys to cross my yard, something about France ticks him off." She stopped talking and looked at me. "So Spain! How's it been battling England?"
I scoff at the name.
"You mean that biscuit burning, multi-eyebrowed, lunatic? Yeah, I guess it's been better..." I must not speak of my failure with Romano around. "I- um-," Belgium gave me a cofused look, and she stopped walking. I felt all of the attention on me. "Um."
"Well?" But this was from Romano.
I turned my head towards Romano, his eyes eager to find out the result. Beads of sweat formed on my brows. Then something hit me!
Romano threw a tomato at my head. Tomato juice dripped down my face as I stared at him in shock.
"YOU DAMN BASTARD!!!" Romano screamed before running away.
"Romano!" I try to reach out, but Belgium stopped me.
The body of the tomato fell to the floor in my attempt to run for him.
Why? Why did she stop me?
I look at her with confusion, and she looks at me with hurt eyes.

Romano's POV
Why? Why did he try to lie? Why won't he talk to me?
I think as I continue to run, as if I'm in one of Japan's horror games. Spain's been gone for a month now, trying to fight England, yet, when he gets back, he trys to lie to me? I suddenly stop in my tracks and take in large gulps of air.
Am I just not worthy enough to know? That damn bastard, why can't he trust me!? Why won't he confide in me?
I then go walking around the house, walking by servants who greet me with a smile.
As I continue to walk, I reach Spain's room and simultaneously walk in and lay on his bed. His bed was always my favorite, and when he was gone I would always lay in his bed surrounding myself in his scent. Oh how I missed him when he fought England. There appeared to be tear stains on the pillow to show my existence here. So I crawl into his covers and I slowly descend into sleep thinking of Spain.

Spains POV
After Romano's big fit, Belgium and I agreed on letting him think it through. I felt bad though, I've been gone for a month and I can't even be there to comfort him. It really kills me, but Belgium, she just refuses me to run to him, I wonder why?
We walk into my study room with my fireplace on, and my chairs arranged for a talk. I went to the bigger chair, its seat covered in red leather. She took the liberty of taking the smaller green leather chair adjacent from mine.
"Spain," she started with pain lodged in her words. "I think, that maybe, you and Romano should stop spending so much time-"
"NO!" I interrupt her while standing abruptly and violently, nearly knocking the table over. "Don't come into my Kingdom and demand me not to do what I please in it!" Rage filled my emerald eyes.
"Please Spain, it's for Romano's greater good!" I gave her a displeased look, but I listened carefully. "When you're gone who do you think supported Romano?" She didn't give me a chance to answer. "Me! I watched over Romano while you were away with England." She looked at the floor. "Romano was the biggest mess you've ever seen, he would be stuck in you're room all day awaiting your return." She paused, then continued with a sigh. "I at the very least convinced him to leave that room and start working in the field. He would keep telling me how 'this time Spain will surely win' or 'I doubt Spain will loose this time around'"
I look at her, tears blurring my vision.
"He missed you so much, and it made me think, maybe you two should be apart for a little while." She stopped, concluding her explanation.
It took me a while but I asked, "Then why did you offer to watch over my place?"
"Because I know that no matter what I say today, it wont change what you planned to do, it was more of an idea, you dont have to follow my advice-"
"I wasn't going to anyways, I adore Romano too much to abandon him forever." I finish as I turn my back and walk away, but, Belgium grabbed my arm again.
"Spain, you're risking a lot by doing this, Romano's just going to get worst. Please listen."
"I am listening," Her eyes then sparkled with joy. "I'm not listening to you, I'm listening to my heart, and it's telling me to stay with Romano." And then I turned and walked out of the room.
And that was that.
