The thought of going back to school made me feel anxious and dizzy all over again.

What if they find me? What if they beat me again? What if it'll be the death of me?

"Sem.. I know what you're thinking. Calm down okay?" River said from besides me and pulled me in a hug.

I snuggled my head into his muscled chest, a smile came up to my face when he arms wrapped safely around my waist and I could feel his warmth all over again.

I could survive some more beatings as long as I had River.

"Hm.. Thank you" I whispered, genuinely thankful for him being here.

The boy made everyone go crazy over him which wasn't that weird. Looking at the combination of his piercing gray eyes and perfectly styled blonde hair. He had a muscled and fit body. There was pretty much always a smile on his face that brightened up my world.

On top of all that, he was funny, genuine and kindhearted towards everyone.

"Anything for you Semmy.."

I looked up at him, knowing my heart instantly stopped especially now he looked down at me, closing the small distancing that was left between us.

We were so close, I could feel his minty breath on my lips.

And suddenly a deja vu flashed throughly mind, because I felt like he was getting closer and closer.

And closer.

My eyes slightly widened at the thought of him kissing me. This was just like the last time.

Would he really kiss me? Is it happening again?! Holy shit, this is it!

HOW DO YOU KISS?

What do I do with my lips and tongue?! Do you even use a tongue with kissing?! Wait, what the hell is kissing even!

"Uh l-let's go.." River interrupted my thoughts and coughed soft.

On the way to school I couldn't stop thinking about earlier.

If I'm actually right about all of this, then this was the second time that he could have kissed me! But why didn't he do it? Why did he always pull away?

And even if he didn't want to kiss me, why did he do that? It drove me insane!

The fact that he couldn't fulfill my dreams made me feel sad and disappointed especially since he always pulled away. I couldn't get over River Allen in any way, I knew I'd be stuck between loving him for ever and being rejected because I'm not his type yet I wanted him to kiss me, hug me and love me like I was his lover.

But River wasn't gay.

And that's okay, because no matter how I feel, I wanted him to be happy. And if that wasn't with me, then so be it.

That's how strong my love was for him.

"Semmy? Earth to Sem! Are you okay?" River waved his hand in front of my eyes.

"Oh y-yeah! Sorry I was daydreaming again.." I murmured soft and smiled at him, hoping he would believe me and calm down.

"Are you sure? If it's about the beatings.. I promise I will protect you from now on, you know that right? They won't come near you again, whatever it takes" He grabbed my hand in his to set his statement.

My eyes wandered to our hands that held each other in a strong grip. A warm feeling crept up my cheeks, creating a soft red color on them.

His hand felt nice.

And every time I look into his eyes, he has his way to make me drown in them all over again. His orbs reminded me of the clouds that were safely flying above the earth, being aesthetic to look at and most importantly; being soft and nice from the inside.

He made me fall in love over and over again and every time I fell harder.

"Thank you Riv.. Really, you don't know the half of how much I appreciate this, of how much I appreciate you" I smiled at him once I got out of the car.

He really didn't know the half of it..

"Of course you appreciate me, duh" He grinned cheekily and let my hand go.

"Hey! Don't get all selfish and cocky you stupid sports jock!" I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Oh no you did not!" He fake gasped.

"Oh yes I did!" I nodded sassily.

"Come here! You clearly didn't listen the last time! The tickle monster will make you pay again for calling me like that!" He huffed childish and started running after.

Screams left my mouth as I ran inside the school, ignoring every weird look that was thrown towards us. I tried to run as fast as I could, but a strong arm had been wrapped around my waist from behind.

"Ha! I caught you and now I will make you suffer from the tickles!" He cheered and held me close to his chest.

"No River! Please no!" I begged for my life, I couldn't resist tickles and the both of us knew that.

"Only on one condition!" He smirked like he won a million dollar.

"Okay okay what is it?!" I giggled loud and looked in his beautiful gray eyes.

But what he said after that, really turned my world upside down since I never expected him to ask that from me.

"Go to the formal dance with me"
