Chapter Three: WINGS  

As Kai's two new appendages dripped with his blood, He slowly lifted his head up. He looked out the corner of his eye when he saw what it was, his eyes went wide. He now had giant white wings?! The white feathers dripped with red as they curled out. Kai stood up, the pain gone, and stretched his wings out. His blood still fell, to much soaked into the feathers already for the rest go get soaked up to. He flapped them hard a couple times on instinct, causing the non soaked up blood to fly everywhere. When he was done, only a couple feathers were left white. Nya came up, marveling at the site, just as Kai fainted.

When Kai woke up, he looked around his room. He had been on his stomach, and didn't know how he got there. When he felt a wait on his back, he looked, only to see his wings, now clean & pure white. He looked to the side of the bed quickly when a sound was heard, only to find a snoring Lloyd. Lloyd was asleep in a chair right by the bed with a red stained sponge in one hand, and the other hand fallen inside a bucket of water that contained both soap & blood. The boy was covered in blood & water. Kai smiled, realizing what Lloyd had done for him.

Kai shifted a bit, trying to get out of bed, but with giant new wings he didn't quite know how to control just yet, he accidentally waked Lloyd in the face. Lloyd woke up with a start as his chair tipped backwards and sent him to the floor. Within seconds, Kai was hovering over Lloyd apologizing for hitting him. "It's OK. I'll live. Just... Learn to control those things." Is the green ninja's reply.

When Lloyd & Kai make it out to the deck, Kai's wings are folded in, well.... One was folded around Lloyd. "Pfft... Do I detect some gay love?" Jay teases them. Kai rolls his eyes & Lloyd blushes. "He was cold so he kinda stole a wing to use for a blanket." Kai explains. They all laugh. Kai was happy they could treat him normally still. "Now down to business. Why the hell do you have wings?!" Cole asks, sounding helpless. Lloyd rolls his eyes this time. "I think Kai should be given a chance to relax first, before we bombard him with questions?" Says the green ninja with a brow raised.

Cole huffs. Nya rolls her eyes. "I have to agree with Cole though, humans aren't supposed to have wings." She says. Jay nods in agreement. Zane walks over. "The wings appear natural. No spell caused this." He says after scanning Kai over. Wu walks over next. "I myself don't have any answers." He admits. Misako looks just as curious as everyone else. "I might know what this is." A new but familiar voice says. They all gasp and turn around to face....
