Blair's POV
Today is the day of the gala. It is in about three hours and the makeup artists and stylists have all arrived. My mom was getting ready in her room while the rest of the makeup crew was working on me in my room.
They decided to go on a bit of a dark look. Smoky brown eyes and higher on the bronzer. My hair were tied up into a milk-maid braid on the top.
I looked sophisticated and chic. This gala was not a first time thing. I have gone to a few before.
My makeup looked great with my dress and the best part about the dress was that it had pockets. They would get covered between the pleats so no one noticed it and I didn't have to worry about my phone since I decided to go purse-less. It just looked better this way.
...
Finally after getting dressed for about three and half hour, I was ready. Leila came and told me that my dad got impatient of waiting for me and he and mom left. Well then.
"Mr Asher is waiting for you." She informed.
I slowly get up and the stylists help me with the dress making sure the pleats were in the right places. I thanked them for a wonderful job before going downstairs.
I watched Asher sitting impatiently on the couch moving his foot and tapping away on the phone, probably playing candy crush. The kid was obsessed with that game.
He finally looks up when he hears my heels clicking. Getting up he comes forward towards the stairs.
Putting his hand out for me, I take it. He gives me a small smile while I reply back with mine. He looks up and down at me in awe.
"You look beautiful, Blair." He compliments.
"You look charming." I reply looking at his choice of clothes.
We went and got into the limo.
...
Sipping on some champagne, we finally reached our destination.
The event was by some big shot businessman so there were a lot of media people. There was a red carpet and the paparazzi were taking pictures of everyone and shouting the celeb's name to get their attention.
I felt nervous, my hands were getting sticky with sweat. Asher and I being the kids of their partner would have to walk down the red carpet too. And we've been going together for years, so everybody knew us over here.
I have done this before but I do get a little nervous every time.
Asher softly pulled my hands to him. "Hey, it's okay. I got you." He whispered.
I nod giving him a hesitant smile.
...
We finally got out. The paparazzi immediately started taking pictures. After seeing it was just some kids a few went away.
With a small smile on my lips and my hands locked with Asher we walk down the carpet. Taking pictures here and there and answering a few question we successfully walked it.
One of the interviewer came to us. "So the future heir and heiress. How excited are you for today's event." She asked us. Asher's hand lay at the base of my back, running small circles. We politely reply back. "Really excited, it is for an amazing cause and we really support it." I say.
"So" she asks with a mischievous glint in her eye and a cheeky smile. "What about your love life. You guys dating anyone or each other." She casually puts in the last part.
"No, single." I reply back.
"Well, that could be true, if this one over here-." He points at me giving a cute little grin.
"Asher," I hit his arm. "That is not true at all. We are not dating." I say looking at the camera.
"You brake my heart princess." Asher pouts dramatically putting his hand over his chest. He is adorable, he can charm anyone off their pants. Even the interviewer had a big grin on her face.
The rest of the interview goes by easily.
...
As soon as we entered the party hall, the sight of almost two hundred men and women dressed immaculately in designer dresses and expensive jewelry welcomed us.
Everyone was talking quietly among themselves sipping on some bubbly champagne.
My mom was sipping on some champagne while my dad was chatting it up with someone. I could tell she was bored but she maintained a poker face.
She immediately saw me and called us over. Dad introduced me to a few of his associates. I politely talked to them making some small talks. I could see the pride in my dad's eyes. He introduced me to Mr Harrison the person who threw this event.
Mr and Mrs Wright, that is Asher's parents should be around too. I found Asher with them.
Mrs Asher complimented me on my dress and said I looked beautiful. I politely complimented back telling her she looked beautiful and that I loved the diamond necklace she was wearing.
Little Eva was also with them. She was dressed in a pink lace dress. She looked adorable. Her blonde curls were pinned up and Asher was holding her in his arms.
She fussed over his bowtie. Yes, Asher got his way wearing the stupid bowtie. I couldn't argue much to his pouty lips and puppy dog eyes.
"Hello Eva, you look very pretty." I tell her with a big grin on my face. She blushes looking down which causes her curls to fall on her face. She immediately sweeps them away.
"What do you say when someone compliments you?" Asher asks her.
She continues playing with his hair and softly mutters a thankyou.
"You look pretty too." She says looking at me in awe.
"Look Asher's bwo-tie matches your dwess!" She says going back to her excited self.
I giggle, "I know, he looks pretty too." I tell her.
"Yes, Ashwer is pwetty." She nods looking at Asher.
He pouts. *adorable*
"I am not pretty, I am hot." He hisses looking at the two of us.
Both of us giggle. Asher gives little Eva a glare to which she covers her mouth and continues giggling.
"Ashy will you dance with me." She asks looking at all the little kids slow dancing.
He looks at me," But then what will Blair do?" He asks her.
I was about to tell them not to worry about me when someone slides their hands around my waist.
I look to my right.
"I'll keep her company." Nathan replies.
