CHAPTER 38

IN COLLEGE

CANTEEN

"What is this Randhir you are here and I am waiting for you in Dream Room" said Sanyukta coming and sitting in an empty chair on Randhir's table.

Randhir-"arre but I was hungry. You simply said meet you in half an hour in college, now I had to skip the whole breakfast for you. Because Miss Sanyukta Agarwal had asked me to meet for something which was delayed because of her."

Sanyukta-"couldn't you say that you were left to have your breakfast so we would have delayed the meeting. And all together nothing could have gone wrong if you would have not eaten breakfast for a day"

Randhir-"oh hello. If you know breakfast is the most important meal for human body. And you should have brought me some hand-cooked breakfast as a sorry, but look here you are asking me to miss my meal. Wow God what an ideal gf !!"

Sanyukta-"don't expect me to bring you meals cooked. I am not that kind of girl. If you are hungry cook for yourself. Now have your breakfast fast and start with work."

Randhir-"what about work? I have already arranged the food from Night n Day Cafe, decoration theme is decided and given to volunteers. Everything is under control"

Sanyukta-"what the hell?!? What do you meam by 'everything is under control?' When you planned it?"

Randhir-"when m'lady was busy in hanging this innocent boy in midst of a cute proposal" he bowed n winked.

Sanyukta(shaking her head)-"If you had already arranged everything then why did you called me so early, idiot?"

Randhir-"to meet you and spend aome time with you my girl" he said holding her hand.

Sanyukta-"so childish of you. You know I had so many pending works to complete, but I left them in middle just give this priority. And you...?? I had to think of a way to hide about us from Vardhan bhai and make a list of....."

Randhir-"hide about us from Vardhan sir? What do you mean? What it has to do with Vardhan sir?"

Sanyukta(biting her tongue)-"nothing.... nothing. I need to do some work I will be back." And she took her bag, rushing out of canteen hurridely.

Randhir-"oye wait....." he jumped his seat, returning back taking last piece of sandwich in his mouth and again running after her.

He ran fast and caught up with her in a corridor near library.

Randhir-"oye meri P. T. Usha stop." He caught her arm and spun her around, taking deep breathes.

Randhir-"remind me never to let you leave, or else the speed at which you run, I am sure the India will win gold in olympics. Sandwich bhi thik se nhi khaa paya. Now tell me what the hell was that in canteen?"

Sanyukta-"what was what?" She tried playing it cool.

Randhir-"don't fake it Agarwal, you know you can't do that infront of me" saying this he stepped close.

Drowned in each other's eyes they failed to realise that their nose were inches apart, and they were standing in a corridor. Before any of them could speak a word or do something, they heard a throat-clearing sound, which brought them back to reality.

Looking up they found Vardhan standing their, looking at them very intently. He was actually staring at Randhir with a deep expression.

Taking advantage of the situation Sanyukta pushed Randhir aside and tried to appear normal.

Vardhan again looked from Randhir to Sanyukta and back to Randhir.

After a deep session he said, "everything fine?"

They both nodded their head.

Vardhan-"is everything ready for the party?" He said looking at Sanyukta.

Even before Sanyukta could open her mouth, Randhir spoke up, "yes sir, everything is arranged from food and bevearges to decoration and party hall."

Vardhan(very intimately)-"did I asked you Mr. Shekhawat?"

Randhir(a bit taken aback)-"no sir, but I thought...."

Vardhan-"so you can also think Mr. Shekhawat? So tell me what do you think?" Randhir was in a state of shock, seeing Vardhan's reaction.

Vardhan(repeated)-"tell me what do you think Mr. Randhir Singh Shekhawat?" It was evident that Vardhan was successful in stepping inside Randhir's personal bubble.

Randhir-"sir I...."

Sanyukta decided that Randhir was actually unable to deal with Vardhan, and she could not let Randhir be bullied by Vardhan, "he was thinking to give you the details Sir, as he planned out the whole informal party, while I was ill. As a responsible STUDENT he was thinking to fill you with details, as you are our TEACHER, Siirrr." She stressed on the words Student and Teacher and extended the word Sir, to warn him silently. Vardhan shifted his gaze from Randhir to Sanyukta, trying to make her feel uncomfortable, but Sanyukta was glaring at him, if not with more, than with same passion.

Vardhan-"if that is so then tell me the theme of the party" Sanyujta silently looked at Randhir from corner of her eyes. Randhir shifted uncomfortably with his hands going in his pockets. Vardhan smirked a winning look at Sanyukta, he had a overview on whole work going in Dream Team and so he knew which points Randhir has missed out.

Vardhan-"what happened Mr. Shekhawat, nervous?" He had an evil smirk.

Sanyukta knew what Vardhan was trying to do so.

Sanyukta-"looks like you are going on a wrong line SIR. There is nothing to be nervous, its just it was Me who dealt with these aspects. And to inform you with the theme it is Check-Mate, Siiirrrr" she glared at him and gave a winning smile.

Vardhan-"very well, Miss Agarwal, but where is the printout of invite to be pinned on notice-board? You know it should have been done by now."

Sanyukta-"its in your mail-box sir, So that you can decide among 4, and sign it after printing it Sir. It will be up on Notice-board as soon as you give us after signing."

Randhir was unable to understand what was going on between them. It was as if a ping-pong ball was being thrown between the two.

Sanyukta was giving Vardhan Don't-Do-That-Orelse-Look, huffing at Sanyukta irritatingly, he left the place, but nit before shooting daggers at Randhir. Here our innocent Randhir did not knew why was Vardhan ready to kill him?

After Vardhan left Randhir breathe in relief.

Randhir-"uff what happened to Vardhan Sir, it was like he was ready to kill me with his looks today. I swear if it had not been for you I am sure he would have killed me already. Imagine...."

"It was not only your death which was final today Randhir." Both of them turned back to see the three boys, Arush, Arav and Parth standing there witha serious face, or to be precise a face of someone who has just came down from death-bed. While the girls, Piya, Arushi and Vidushi were standing behind them with a pity, helpless face.
