Prologue
THE MAGNOLIAS HAD A VERY WARM HOMECOMING AT THE AIRPORT. The six women were greeted by a generous group of fans, as well as some immediate family members.
"Wow, gone two years and my brother doesn't even remember to pick me up from the airport." I chuckled, eyeing the empty text notifications.
"We can drop you off at your flat, if you'd like?" Phoebe's mum, Maureen, offered kindly as she grabbed one of the drummer's bags.
"I'll be fine just grabbing a cab, but thank you so much for offering!" I denied with a grateful smile.
"Text the group chat when you get home, yeah?" Dina told me, as she lugged her guitar case and put it on a luggage cart.
"The second I step through the door." I agreed with a grin, before hugging each of the girls and their parents.
Once everyone said their farewells, I finished packing up my own luggage cart and lugged it out front of the airport. I pulled out my phone and hired an Uber, which arrived surprisingly fast.

PASSING THROUGH THE THRESHOLD OF MY FLAT WAS ALMOST CATHARTIC. It felt as if all the false energy and extroversion just left my body. I set my bags by the door and I didn't even make it to the couch, I just laid down on the floor.
I quickly texted the band group chat and sent a selfie of me on the floor with the caption 'I think I'm gonna stay here all night lol'. The girls responded with a variety of GIFs and laughing emojis.
I then sent a half-assed text to Jamie just letting him know I got home safely, receiving a new noncommittal thumbs up emoji.
"I'm going to order some Nando's." I muttered to myself, realizing just how hungry I was and opened up DoorDash.
Welcome home, Lizzy.
