The Violets Are As Dead As She

Jamie Conwell, just another name in a town where secrets were never kept. A name that no longer had a sweet taste to the mouth.

But now had a sour, salty, bloody taste to the tongue.

Jamie was now dead and out of the world at just the right time. Anyone who remianed left in the town of DarkShy was bound to suffer and face a wall full of fear.

Danny, the son of a family with secrets as dark as this fatal death and a boy with an untold story. Who knew one boy could do so much more than cause a broken heart to a teen girl.

Nobody knew horror was this horrible and this real.

But the town of DarkShy would now know that feeling.

...
My mom had to drag me out of bed and physically change me, couldn't she realize no part of me was in shape to go to school.

Flashbacks kept coming into my mind, I felt so frightened that you would think I had just seen the world's best horror movie. At least that would have been fake, she helped me in the car and we rode in the dead silence.

Dead.

Dead like Jamie.

I felt so bad for Leena, she didn't deserve this. She found her happiness and now lost it, my mom dropped me off and my wobbly legs guided me to the first class of the day.

Everyone in the class was so cheery and talkative. So unaware to the issue as of now. I had to find Danny, to talk to him, but what if he hurts me.

The bell rang and the teacher stood up with his hands in his pockets. Before he could speak the door swung open, no need to turn around. I felt his dark presence.

"Hello Mr.Caddit, may I speak with Meagan, it will be quick, promise." He nodded, my brown skin was freezing and ice cold. I pulled my white hair in a bun and walked out with him.

"What?"

"Do you think that it was me who killed Jamie?"

"Uhh."

No way words could come out my mouth, he continued to look at me.

"Yes."

He snickered, "well no."

"No what?"

"No, I didn't kill Jamie. Why would I ever do that. Look I am sick of games. You obviously know that I am not normal, God knows that, hell even Jamie knew that. But I do love you, you know that don't you."

He came closer with a passionate smile and I backed up. "No, just give me a minute okay. This is not okay, none of this is okay. How can I possibly trust you."

He grinned furiously, "get over here or I swear-."

"What, you'll kill me too?"

He frowned and walked closer and kissed me, I pushed him off and went in class sitting in my seat.

The air grew thicker and my teachers voice slowly fell away, it felt strange now.

After class the halls had hollow whispers, people knew now about the incident. Innocent as a lamb and now dead as a door, poor Jamie didn't get to go to the prom or have kids of her own.

My stomach grumbled longing for a bite to eat or even better, a meal.

Someone pushed me making knock hard into a locker, my arm stung and then ached.

I walked into the girls bathroom and slammed my bad to the floor, the mirror was clear and revealed me to look tired and broken.

I grabbed my red lipstick and slathered it on, then a stroke of eyeliner. Better.

As the bathroom door behind me shut noone was in the halls. The bell hadn't even rung, fear ran through my cold veins. My next class was filled though, people already talking and some actually getting to work.

As my heart steadied I found my seat and sat down, it was getting quieter as the bell now had rang.
The teacher was sitting still at her desk writing things down, the same thing I was doing.

Outside the clouds were starting to cover the blue shy and crows made their way to the ground where there was food. My teacher still had no intention in caring about doing a thing, I finished my work and shoved it into the inbox. Across the room was a tall dark and handsome guy. He had small brown auburn curls and hazel eyes. He looked to be a senior.

It's not like Danny and I were exactly a thing anymore. He was something but we weren't a thing, the guy drew his eyes to me and smiled.

My heart sputtered, but my feet told a different story as he came closer into veiw.

"Hey there, it's Meagan yes?"

"Yeah, and what is your name. Sorry."

"Oh, no it's alright. My name is Kole. But with a K not a C."

"Nice to meet you Kole."

He smiled and scooted a desk closer, "sit." I sat down and set my backpack by the seat and items on the desk.

"So, your a sophmore?"

"Ouch, no a junior actually, why do you ask."

He laughed with a shrug and grabbed his pencil. "Was just getting to know you, open myself up to new people."

"Oh."

An awkward silence fell, a huge part of me was wanting to say something but my heart was stuck in my throat amd my chest tight. Hell, I didn't know what to do.

Last time I thought there was a flame it lead me to the hell I'm in now.

"Well, can you help me. This work makes no freaking sence." He said, I nodded and grabbed a pencil. He leaned foward in his seat and I leaned towards him, his cologne was now hitting me. He smelt of cloves and apples, it sent chills down my spine.

It was time for me to change up, a new intrest meant a new look for me all the time.
