I was currently sitting on Optimus shoulder, watching him type. He was typing in Cybertronian. Little did he know, I could understand it, thought I chose not to read it because it was kinda boring. It was just a summary of what had happened over these past several days. Soon, Ratchet called to Optimus.

"Optimus, I'm receiving a signal on a restricted band", he says. "It appears to be coming from a starship inside this solar system." He types a few things before speaking again. "It's an Autobot identification beacon."

"So, there are other bots out there?", Jack asks.

"The masses scattered to the galaxies when Cybertron finally went dark...", Arcee says. " But cons have been known to bait traps with false beacons."

Optimus spoke, his voice deep and full of security. "Unknown vessel, this is Autobot Outpost Omega One. Identify yourself."

"I've had warmer welcomes from Decepticon combat brigades", I hear, the voice sounding awfully familiar...

"Wheeljack!!", Bulkhead exclaims, surprising me and I almost fell off Optimus' shoulder. Optimus steadied me with his servo, and I smiled gratefully at him. I start listening again when Optimus speaks.

"Wheeljack? I know of him by reputation only", Optimus says. Wheeljack... Wheeljack... where have heard that name from... my eyes widen. Wheeljack! He taught how to use my swords! I get to see him again soon!! I smile happily before I realize he won't recognize me... not in this form... I sigh.

I hear where Wheeljack is going to land and I think for a moment. He won't be here until tomorrow. I frown before coming up with an idea. While the other bots are sleeping, I can sneak out and wait there, hopefully the other bots won't suspect where I am. I could write a note saying that I went exploring in the base. It's something I did often so they won't suspect me. I can convince Ratchet to go get some sleep, I've done it before. He tries to argue with me but I always win. Okay, the fact that I'm doing all this just because I want Wheeljack to remember me is kinda sad... sort of... I don't know anymore...

Soon, Optimus puts me on the balcony and the humans go home and the other bots go to sleep. Soon, it's just Ratchet and I.

I go over to Ratchet and watch him for a little bit.

"Go to sleep, Jaymen", he says without looking away from the computer screen.

"Nope", I say simply. He looks at me and I knew he knew where I was going with this. He sighs.

"Fine, I'll go to sleep", he says. I grin.

"Good Ratchet", I smirk, saying it like you would to a dog.

"But only if you go to the couch and sleep", Ratchet says.

"Fine...", I groan before going over to the couch. I lay down and close my eyes. When I don't here any movement, I look back up at him. He had gone back to work. I frown.

"Ratch, I'm not going to sleep until you go to sleep", I say. He sighs before looking at me.

"Fine", he says before walking away. I wait until I heard his footsteps fade away. I wait a few more minutes. Their berth rooms where in the back room of the base so I knew they wouldn't hear the bridge go off. I quickly write a note that I went to explore the base some more and then go to the computer.

I type in the coordinates and add some directions to close when I go through and to delete the coordinates. I open the bridge and quickly run through and smile as it closes behind me. I find a good place to hide before falling asleep.

When I wake, there is the sounds of battle. I smirk and see Wheeljack fighting several vehicons. I transform and run towards the battle, pulling out my dual swords. I attack the vehicons, grabbing Wheeljack's attention.

"Venus!", he exclaims in surprise. "I thought you were dead!"

"Think again!", I smirk. Suddenly, a ground bridge opens and I realize that it's either the Autobots or Decepticons. Unfortunately, it was the Deceptions... Soundwave. My eyes widen and I immediately try to find a hiding place, luckily finding one. I watch what was happening and see Wheeljack being pulled through the bridge. I quickly follow and hide myself in a corner.

Stealthily, I followed Sounwave until he went into the bridge and then I just waited outside. Soon, some vehicons dragged Wheeljack out. I followed them but got distracted by a couple vehicons seeing me. I quickly took them out before continuing my way towards were I figured he would be. I soon find a guard outside a room and I heard shooting. I smirk and take out the guard in front before he could do anything about the shooting.

Soon, Wheeljack came out. He sees me and I smirk at him. "I guess you didn't need saving."

He chuckles. "No, but I like the help you can provide for me."

I laugh before taking off down a hall, Wheeljack following me.

We stop just before the door to outside. "Wheeljack, if you're going to the Autobot base, I'm not going with you."

Wheeljack looks at me confused. "Why not?"

"I'm not ready to go back to Optimus", I mutter. He looks at me confused.

"He thinks I died... He's only heard about me from the humans at his base", I say before my eyes widen. Scrap, I shouldn't have said that.

"How do you know there are humans there?", he asks.

I frown. "Look, you can't tell anyone. Only Ratchet knows. You might meet a human named Jaymen. She is me. I'll figure out a way to get back to base without them suspecting anything. I've got it! I'll bridge to the coordinates you were given when you came to Earth. Oh! Ratchet will know that I, well, technically Jaymen, snuck out when you mention me. He won't share my secret but if you could slip in that I'm fine, I'm sure he'll relax a ton."

Wheeljack nods. I smile before heading to find a computer. I quickly find one, getting rid of the con in front of it and bridge to the coordinates. I transform and wait patiently. Soon, there's a bridge and I grin. Time to put my plan into place. Hopefully Wheeljack is a good actor. They all come out with Wheeljack's ship. I suspect that it's prepared.

"Oh!! So this is Wheeljack", I say when the bridge closes. They all whip around to look at me. I wave while smiling.

"Jaymen? What are you doing here?", Arcee asks.

"I wanted meet Wheeljack before he left", I shrug.

"I thought you were exploring...", Jack mutters.

"I was. I came back into the main room just as you were bridging out", I say nonchalantly. "So, I decided to follow."

"So you're Jaymen?", Wheeljack interrupts.

"The one and only", I bow. Wheeljack chuckles. "You're one interesting kid, I'll give you that."

I grin before waving slightly. "I can't wait to get to know you if you ever decide to come back."

Wheeljack smirks. "The same goes here."

I wave again before Wheeljack talks to Bulkhead for a little bit.

I turn to Miko. "So what happened while I was exploring?"

She then launches into this long story about how there was a fake Wheeljack and then she told Wheeljack's side of the story. I noticed that there was no mention of what I told him. I turn to look at Wheeljack and he winks. I chuckle.

Before long, Wheeljack flew away and Arcee called for a bridge. One opens and we go through. I see Ratchet staring at me, hands on his hips.

"And where might you have been", he exclaims.

"Exploring", I say, glancing towards the others. He catches onto my message and lets me climb on his hand. He carries me toward his room and sets me down on the berth where he knows I wouldn't be able to escape.

"Okay, now what were you really doing?", he asks after closing the door.

"I knew Wheeljack. He taught me how to wield my dual swords, remember?", I remind him. "So I wanted to go see him because I knew I wouldn't be able to reveal to him my real form without letting Optimus know. Besides, I helped him escape from the Nemesis."

I could sense Ratchet's fury growing. "You were on the Nemesis?" His voice was quiet with rage, which honestly made me a little more scared than him yelling at me.

"Well, yeah, how else was I supposed to rescue him?" Sarcasm was hiding my fear.

"He could have rescued himself!! Besides, how would Optimus feel if Wheeljack told him that not only he lost Venus yet again, but he also lost the human he cares deeply about!!", Ratchet shouts this time.

My eyes widen and suddenly, everything comes rushing back to me. I was being so reckless and I lied... I lied to the two bots I'm closest to. Optimus and Ratchet. Optimus doesn't even know that Venus is alive... I feel tears start streaming down my face. I pull my knees up to my chest and start crying, quietly at first but I soon realized how much of an act I had put up to protect myself without even realizing it.

Ratchet realizes that I had started to cry and he starts to hum a familiar song. I soon realize what it was. It was one that I had wrote about Optimus back before I had died.

"You remember that?" I whisper softly, looking up at him,

Ratchet smiles. "After you died, Optimus was pretty much inconsolable. I quickly discovered that your song calmed him down."

I cry again before looking at Ratchet. "I wish I could find the courage to tell him..."

"One day, I am sure you will. But for now, it is up for you to decide when to tell him", he says with a smile.

"Thanks, Ratchet", I say with a smile.

Soon, there is a knock on the door and it opens to reveal Optimus.

"Ratchet, I heard yelling. Is everything-", he stops when he sees me. "Why is she crying?"

Ratchet couldn't find the words to say. "Ratchet just brought attention to some pretty stupid things I've done recently..."

"And what might that be", Optimus asks.

"Lying to you and to him and to the rest of the bots", I whisper.

He looks at me before frowning. "What have you lied to us about?"

I frown before more tears start coming down my face. "That is not something I am ready to share with you just yet."

Optimus tilts his head. "And yet you have told Ratchet?"

"He's like a big brother to me... he's family... and you're... not...", I whisper.

Optimus vents sadly before he looks away; I could hear it from here. He turns to leave but I stop him with some words that I didn't even know I said until after I said them.

"You're something more", I say quietly. Instantly, my hands rush to my mouth, realizing what I've just said. I blush deeply before scolding my brain.

Optimus doesn't say anything. He just leaves and I sigh, staring off in the direction he went. I sigh again before looking to Ratchet. He understands and takes me to the main room where he places me by the couch. I curl up and decide to sleep knowing I've had several very long days.

I hear everyone leave the room except for one pair of pedes. I instantly knew they were Optimus'.

"I sincerely hope you are asleep when I say this but I am sorry, Jaymen. For I do not feel the same way as you do. I love someone else. Venus. Though you may act very similarly to her, you are not her", he says. At that moment, I wanted to jump up and scream to him that I am her but something kept me in place. I felt a few tears slide down my face and I sigh. I hear him leave and wait a few minutes before I start singing the song that I wrote.

"She struggles, she fights;

I sigh when I finish singing and roll over. A few minutes later, I was fast asleep.
