When I woke up, Jack was at the base.

"Guess who's back", he says.

"Autobots, prepare for departure", Optimus says.

"Wait, what's happening?", I exclaim. Everyone ignores me.

"Where to?", Jack asks.

"The final frontier", Miko answers, pointing upward.

"Space? I thought they didn't have any way to get there", Jack questions.

"They don't, really", Raf says.

"Would someone please explain to me what's going on?" I finally shout, making myself heard. Optimus looks at me and offers me his hand.

I climb onto his hand and he brings me up to his face. He then explains it all to me and I stare at him sadly, remembering the day he confessed his feelings to me. Well, Venus. Wait, we're the same bot/person...

"You'll come back, won't you?", I whisper, as I place a hand on his cheek.

"I will try", Optimus says back. I don't even think about what I do next. I kiss him before turning a bright shade of red. I hide my face in my hands. I peek between my fingers and see Optimus' surprised expression.

"We are not of the same species, Jaymen", he says quietly. I sigh, knowing it's the truth and not, at the same time.

"Put me down", I whisper.

"I am sorry. I could not hear you", he says gently.

"I said put me down!!", I shout, forgetting about all the other people and bots in the room. The room goes silent at my outburst. "Please... put me down."

Optimus puts me down on the human area and I run to the couch, curling up on it, hugging my legs.

I could feel the tears coming down and I hide my face. How could I not have noticed!! I fell for him while I couldn't remember my memories as a bot and now that I have my memories, those feelings have returned tenfold. I hear the ground bridge open and I look up just in time to see Optimus transform and drive through the ground bridge.

The humans come over to me. "Hey, you okay?" Jack asks me.

"Do I look like I'm okay?", I practically shout at him. He looks taken aback. I sigh. "Sorry, Jack. I just... remember, the bot I turned into?"

Jack pauses before looking at Ratchet.

"It's okay, he knows. I told him last night", I say.

He nods softly and I continue.

"I also regained all of that bots memories. Jack, I am that bot. I am Venus. And Optimus doesn't know this but I loved him as Venus and I love him now. And without realizing, I kissed him just before he left. And he doesn't know that we are the same species or we used to be or... ugh!! Why is life so complicated?", I shout, punching the couch.

"Jaymen, are you alright?", Ratchet asks. I look at him.

"No, Ratchet. I'm not", I whisper. I know the communication link is on so I don't speak any louder because I don't want Optimus to hear everything I say.

"Do you... want to talk about it?", Ratchet asks. I shake my head, the other humans go over and pay attention to what's happening but I get lost in my own thoughts. Well, my memories.

"Optimus, where are we going?", I ask, chuckling slightly, as he leads me somewhere. He had me close my optics and so I had no clue where we were going.

"Somewhere I hope to make special", he says. I sigh, letting him lead me forward.

Finally, we stop. "You can open your optics now."

I gasp when I see the night sky. We got away from all the lights and so you could see all the stars. I stare at the sky until Optimus distracts me from them.

"Do you know why I brought you here?", he asks. I just shake my head, not even looking at him, just staring at the beauty of the sky.

"I brought you here because I love you", he says. That gets my attention. I look at him and his optics look vulnerable. Something that doesn't happen often. That's how you know he's telling the truth about something personal to him.

I gasp slightly, and feel lubricant coming from my optics.

"I d-", my voice stops there as I choke back tears. "I don't know what to say."

My hand comes up to cover my mouth. He looks sad for a minute.

"You don't have to say any-", I cut him off there.

"I love you, too!", I exclaim and hug him. He stumbles back before hugging me back. I chuckle softly.

"Took you long enough to admit it", I whisper softly in his audio receptor.

He chuckles and shakes his head. I smile softly before leaning back. We look into each other's optics, our faceplates getting closer and closer to each other before meeting.

I felt fireworks exploding all around me and inside of my stomach. I smile into the kiss and I feel him do the same.

We lean back from each other and the smile never left my face.

"That was...", Optimus paused looking for the right words.

"An explosion", I finish. Optimus chuckles before nodding.

I was brought out of my memories to Ratchet calling my name.

"Jaymen. Can you go with those three to make sure they don't get in any trouble?" he asks me. I nod and go over to the ground bridge with the three. Ratchet opens it and we end up by a building. Raf is doing something and I'm not paying attention at all. I'm keeping an eye out for trouble.

The door opens and I see this tentacle and immediately knows who it belongs to. "Soundwave", I hiss.

I know not to take Soundwave on. The other humans didn't however.

Miko and Jack tried distracting it while I followed it back to it's owner, transforming before going into the room it was in.

"Soundwave!", I shout. He looks at me and I start fighting him, even though I know it's a bad idea. Suddenly, he jumps up to the roof and I look at him in confusion.

That's when I see the axe in the cords. I growl before transforming when the humans got there. I didn't care if Soundwave saw. Miko saw Soundwave and took a picture of him. He took a picture of us in return. I roll my eyes before calling Ratchet for a bridge.

Soon a bridge appears and we go through it. I decide to start paying attention now.

Soon, there's an expanding mass of an energy signature, one that Ratchet recognizes.

"Optimus, I'm registering a rapidly expanding mass in their space bridge vortex", Ratchet says. "One with a peculiar energom signature" As Ratchet spoke, Agent Fowler got up and limped over to us.

"Dark energon", Optimus says. I felt my heart, er, spark tug a little bit. It wanted to be next to him but he doesn't even know who I really am. I mean, I'm Jaymen, but I'm also and forever will be Venus, Optimus' lover.

I sigh softly, getting distracted again. Agent Fowler looks at me but says nothing. I end up going back to the couch and sitting down getting lost unimportant thoughts.

I was only pulled out of my thoughts due to the ground bridge opening. After a minute or two, Raf speaks. I had made my way over next to them, in front of the ground bridge on the platform.

"Do you think they're...?" He didn't finish his question but Ratchet knew what he meant.

"Four life signals. One very faint", he says. I look towards the ground bridge and wait worried. I've become friends with all of them, some closer than others. And we already lost Cliffjumper... I don't want to lose another teammate. Or friend.

Optimus comes through and I feel a great deal of worry disappear. I smile softly before remembering what occurred before he left. I look down and back away before going towards the couch yet again. This time, however, I walked straight past it and I went down the stairs. I started going down another hallway, when I looked back, I saw Optimus watching me and I feel my spark pull towards him. I want to go back but going back means being hurt. I continue walking forward, going to the farthest hallway from the main room. I found a small hidden room that was big enough for me to transform.

I thought about it and I looked at the door. The only way Optimus would be able to get in would be via his holoform which probably wouldn't happen. Even so, I decided not to risk it.

I sigh and lean against the wall, letting a few more tears trickle down my face. I tried to only let a few down but before I knew, I was full blown sobbing.

"Why can't I tell him?!", I shout. It echoed around the room before settling. I sigh before resting my helm on my knees. I hear the door open and I see a holoform I don't see often. Ratchet's. I looked up at him.

"I still love him. Probably way too much for my own good but I love him. He's always been my past, present and future", I say, more tears streaming down my face.

Ratchet doesn't say anything, he just wraps his arms around me and pulls me close to him. Soon enough, I stop crying and start sniffling.

Ratchet stands up and helps me to my feet. "You should probably tell him what you told me last night."

"Probably... I just don't know how he'll react...", I whisper. "And I don't know how to tell him."

"Just be yourself. If he still loves Venus, he will love you. Because you are Venus. You just go by a different name", Ratchet says. I smile before hugging him.

"Thanks, Doc Bot. You're like the brother I never had." Ratchet was surprised by my words, to say the least. I smile softly when he hugs me back.

"I've considered you my sister ever since I got to know you", Ratchet says. "You'll always be that to me."

I smile before letting go of Ratchet.

"Thanks, Ratch. You really helped me there", I say before going to head to the door when I heard loud footsteps coming this way. I freeze and peek out of the room. I immediately recognize Optimus' pede. I look back at Ratchet and motion outside. He soon understand what I'm saying and his holoform fizzles out. I hear him talking to Optimus.

"I haven't found her yet, Optimus", Ratchet lies. I gasp slightly. Ratchet just lied to his leader, one of his closest friends... for me... dang it, now he's even more like a big brother to me...

"Are you certain, Ratchet?", I hear Optimus say.

"I am. You can check for yourself in the rooms that checked though", Ratchet says. I open the door slightly and see Ratchet's foot sort of hiding the door. Thank you, Ratchet.

I quickly sneak out and try to make my way down the hall when I hear Optimus' voice. "Jaymen."

I turn around slowly and see him looking at me. I half-smile at him, though it didn't quite reach my eyes. He vents softly before frowning. "Nevermind." I blink. He just said nevermind. I end up walking away without having to say anything to him. This isn't right...

I turn back around. "Optimus", I say, my voice small. He had turned to walk away from me but paused and looked back towards me. "Do you think we could... forget what happened earlier today and go back to how things used to be?"

Optimus smiles for a second. "Yes, Jaymen, I do believe we could."

I smile and after a little bit, we start talking like it never happened. Though I knew in my spark that I would always remember.
