There's an event at our church. I learned something. Someone tell a story. May makukuha kang aral. I'll try to write it here. Not the exact words na sinabi ng nagkwento but I hope I can still state the story complete.

May mga sundalo daw na naglalakbay mula sa pinakamalayo hanggang may nag-stop an sila na lugar. Casino is the name of the place daw ah. And then, it was Sunday. Sabi ng commander nila na they will attend church. He also said, "Isama niyo yang mga Bible at prayer book niyo."

Nagpunta na sila sa church. The soldiers bring out their Bibles and prayer books but there is this one soldier na naglabas ng cards. Someone saw him so after the mass, they went to the highest official. Tinanong nung opisyal kung bakit nandoon sila. Sabi ng nakakita sa soldier, "Walang hiya to kasi naglabas ng cards sa simbahan eh nasa kalagitnaan ng misa." "Ganyan ba?", sabi ng opisyal then tinanong niya yung soldier kung bakit niya ginawa yun at sinabi ring explain niya rin.

The soldier replied that the cards reminds him about God. Yung first card daw, yung may number 1, nagreremind daw ito na nag-iisa lang ang Diyos. Yung number 2 naman, it reminds that the Bible is devided into two, the old testament and new testament. Yung number 3 naman, it reminds the Holy Trinity... the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Yung number 4 card naman, it reminds the 4 Gospel, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Then number 5 card reminds the parable of 5 wise virgins. There are ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. The 5 wise virgins trim cloth in their lamps with oil and may reserba din silang oil. Samantalang may 5 foolish virgins naman who didn't trim the cloth in their lamps also they did not take any extra oil with them kaya nawalan sila. So the 5 wise virgins are successful in waiting the groom that represents Jesus. The number 6 card represents the 6 days of creation then the number 7 card represents the day God rested. Then ito naman si number 8, it represents the 8 righteous saved by God when he flooded the whole world. There is Noah and his wife. Their sons and their sons wives. Then the number 9 card represents the people cured by Jesus, actually there are 10 of them but only 1 thank Jesus, the others didn't. While number 10 card represents the Ten Commandments.

The highest official is attentively listening. Nagugulat pa siya sa mga naririnig niya. Pati rin yung nagsumbong sa soldier, ganun din ang reaksyon.

Pinagpatuloy ng soldier ang pagpapaliwanag... Yung Jack daw, it represents the devil and we are all tempted by him. The Queen represents the Virgin Mary who gave birth to Jesus Christ. While the King represents God as the only King among all Kings. The soldier also said that in every year, there are 365 days, 12 months, 52 weeks and 4 quarters. In every 4 quarters, there are 13 weeks.

Amazed na amazed ang opisyal dahil hindi lahat ng sinabi ng soldier ay alam niya kaya ayon hindi naparusahan ang soldier.

Sabi pa ng soldier na wala siyang dalang Bible at prayer book. Ang cards daw ang nagsisilbing Bible, prayer book, at calendar na rin.

End of story. Tapos ito ang sinabi ng nagkwento. This story is pagkukuhaan lang daw ng aral, it's not to use to ano na yung word? tolerate ba? tolerate the use of cards and to bring it also at church.

I have a prayer for this day. Oh? Nanalangin pala ako? Ngayon lang ulit.

After praying, ito nagsulat ako and it's time to sleep. I wonder kung tulog na si Mr. Vallen and alam niya kaya yung kwento about sa soldier and his cards? Hay. Makatulog na nga.
