Days passed as Cyrus stayed in the spare bedroom, he'd met every single one of Sonic's friends, and realised how busy his love interest really was, but one thing that got to him was the girl hedgehog, she'd always interrupt mid conversation and chase away the blue hedgehogs she deemed her 'boyfriend'

"I guess she always does this?" He asked, Rouge she hummed in response

"poor big Blue is always running from her" Rouge sighed "I swear she never learns"

"How old is she?" Cyrus questioned

"12" Almost everyone spoke

"I see...Well he's always had that charm to him, despite how he hates it" The lion stated

"So you've known Sonic your how long exactly?" It was Tails who asked

"Hmm, he's sixteen now, and I've known him since he was 3, so 13 years" Cyrus stated "I visit him and his foster parents before he joined the resistance when his uncle started taking care of him when he was four"

"What...?" everyone looked at him, all except Knuckles

"Sonic grew up in a war zone" Knuckles stated "Eggman has a brother who took over the entire continent sixteen years ago, he had this machine that turned organic material to metal" 

"That's horrible" Silver shivered

"It's in the past now, but it's shaped the future, things would be different if things had played out without human intervention, in a way i'm glad it happened...but it doesn't mean i didn't want different" Cyrus stated with a sigh

there was silence for a long moment, until Sonic came back with a nervous wary smile as he looked around, looking for any sign of the pink hedgehog

"Dear Chaos i wish she'd see that i don't like her that way" He groaned as he laid on the ground under the tree they had set up at

"Well maybe if you told her instead of running away from her, this wouldn't be a problem" Tails said matter of factly, Sonic snorted his laughter

"Yeah right" He laughed "The only way that would work if i told her i was gay" 

"And your are, aren't you?" Tails rose a brow as he saw Sonic freeze and his cheeks go red

"U-Uhh Shadow lets race" He changed the subject quickly as he grinned at Shadow, who rolled his eyes and glared at Sonic

"Answer the question" He stated

"What question?" Sonic tilted his head as he continued grinning, Cyrus rose a brow at the sudden behaviour, never have seen it before

"Your such a child" Shadow scowled 

"Never thought i'd hear the day someone would call you a child" Cyrus stated and received a sharp glare from Sonic, Cyrus only smiled "But then again, you were always a child in your own way and how you messed about with your brother"

"Say's you, you were always going on about science, not that it's a bad thing, caused it saved our butts a number of times, but chemicals this, computer this, no wonder I can sit there and listen to Tails go on and on about his inventions, cause i was stuck listening to you" Sonic's glare turned to a gleam in his eyes, Shadow, Silver and Knuckles couldn't resist to look at the cuteness underneath, Cyrus only smiled as he chuckled, but the moment was interrupted by a chain of explosions in the middle of Station Square
