Sonic sat on the couch with Knuckles and Tails, well Tails was busy working on one of his devices and Knuckles as trying and failing in flirting with Sonic, that's the thing, he's liked Sonic for a few years now and has been trying to get his attention ever since, and every time they've spent alone it's been interrupted by other people, like now for example, just as Knuckles was to say some cheesy pick up line there was a knock at the door

"Oh! That must be Shadow and Rouge" Sonic hummed as he stood and went over to the door and answered to find instead Blaze and Silver "Hello! I thought you guys weren't coming over till later"

"Well Silver wanted to come early, and he wouldn't leave me alone" Blaze sighed while Silver laughed nervously, Sonic on the other hand just kept smiling 

 "Oh that's fine, come right in" Sonic smiled as he stepped aside and let the two walk in and before he closed the door he saw Rouge dragging Shadow who had a scowl 

"Hey Big Blue~" Rouge purred as she stopped before him

"hey Rouge, Hi Shadow" Sonic couldn't hide the small amount of blush that formed on his cheeks when he saw Shadow, the hedgehog he greeted only scoffed and rolled his eyes "Come on in"

Knuckles only grumbled to himself as he gave a glare at Silver and Shadow when they entered, they only gave equally powerful ones back, Sonic was oblivious to this as Blaze, Rouge and Tails sweat dropped, the three of them knew what was happening, the three males had made a contest to get Sonic's heart for themselves, so whenever they saw each other they always fought

"Sonic?" Tails called out getting the older hedgehog's attention 

"yeah Bud?" Sonic asked

"Were you cooking?" Tails asked and Sonic's eyes widened as he rushed to the kitchen

"What the hell are you two doing here?" knuckles growled when he knew Sonic wasn't coming back for a while

"Sonic invited us over yesterday" Silver rolled his eyes "Do you really think I'd turn up if the two of you were here?"

"Does it always have to be a fight" Tails sighed

"Yes!" The two hedgehogs and echidna growled making the poor fox jump

"Okay, you three can do this when ever the hell you want, but understand we don't want to be in the middle of it" Blaze stated, Silver huffed, Shadow rolled his eyes and Knuckles grumbled, but they all went silent as there was knock on the front door

"I'll get it" Tails said as he stood and went over, thankful for the interruption so he could get away, he stopped at the door and hesitated for a second before answering it, he blinked a few times when he saw a lion standing there patiently, his main was an orange-brown colour, his eyes were a dark brown and his clothes were formal almost, he wore a green long sleeve shirt and a musty brown blue vest, he wasn't wearing gloves but he wore a communicator and lastly his shoes were a pair of grey and green boots "can I help you?" Tails asked 

"I was just looking for a friend, Maybe i got the wrong address" The lion mumbled as he looked down at the fox

"Oh! Well what's your friends name? Maybe me and my friends can help you" Tails smiled

"That would be wonderful" The lion smiled "And as for his name it's Sonic" Tails only paused

"Well Your at the right address, Sonic's just in the kitchen, did he invite you over?" Tails asked

"Not exactly, I just thought i'd come and see him since it's been a few years since we've seen each other" The lion explained

"oh..." Tails gave him a suspicious glance "Well come on in, but if your lying..." The lion only gave a small chuckle

"I'm not lying, but it's a pleasure too meet one of Sonic's friends" The lion gave a small formal bow, Tails only blinked

"umm okay? It's nice to meet you too....?" Tails paused

"Cyrus" The lion spoke "Cyrus Lion" he smiled slightly

"I'm Tails The Fox" Tails replied as he moved aside and let Cyrus in and closed the door and showed him the way to the lounge room where Shadow, Silver and Knuckles had started arguing again, Cyrus only rose a brow as he watched, not making a sound, Tails only sighed and went to the kitchen, leaving Blaze and Rouge with Cyrus, the two gave him a quetioning look, but then turned back to the fight

"Hmm, what a treat to see you haven't changed Knuckles" Cyrus spoke over the argument, Knuckles froze at the voice and turned wide eyed to Cyrus who only smiled in greeting, Shadow and Silver turned to him too

"Who the hell are you?" Shadow glared

"Cyrus...The head engineer for the royal family of Mobitropilies..." Knuckles muttered "and the prince's adviser"

"I really don't like the title, but it was given to me by the queen herself" Cyrus hummed "if i had known you were here...I would have arranged to come visit my friend another day" Knuckles glared at him

there was silence for a few minutes, until Sonic and Tails came back into the room, when Sonic spotted Cyrus his eyes lit up as he grinned

"Cy! I didn't know you were coming!" Sonic grinned as they fist bumped

"Of course you didn't, it's called a surprise visit" Cyrus smiled back "besides your brother and sister asked me to give you a message"

"Ah so you came over to give me a message?" Sonic stated with a raised brow

"Of course not" Cyrus chuckled 'I may always have a busy schedule, but i can make time for you, after all you mean the world to me"

the last words spoken made Shadow's fist clench, another one after what was his, Knuckles only growled to himself, he knew of the other's attraction towards the blue hedgehog, he'd known for years, at first he didn't really care since his eyes ha been on Sonia, but she went off with someone else, but now he felt jealous, and Silver just avoided looking, Sonic just laughed and it made Cyrus raise a brow

"Why are you laughing? Has your sense of humour finally changes?" Cyrus asked, this time Knuckles smirked

"Of course his humours changed" Knuckles rolled his eyes "He hasn't tried pushing me of Angel Island since we first met"

"Wait what?!" Almost everyone yelled, while Sonic sweat dropped and Cyrus laughed softly

"I suppose your right" Cyrus stated

"Can we not talk abut what i did in the past please" Sonic mumbled

"Very well, But it'll have to be brought up sooner or later Sonic" Cyrus stated, Sonic only nodded
