It was strangely quiet in Derry. Well, within the perimeter of the losers club. It was hard to describe how much they missed their local trash mouth. The boy who saved bills life. The boy who would talk the bowers's Gangs ears off and get a rough beating to protect them. The boy who knows exactly what to say and when to say it to lighten the mood when times are rough. The boy who endured shitty parents, but stayed content(ish) anyway. Their very own Richie Tozier was gone, all because of his parents and all of their shiftiness. 

They missed everything about him from his obnoxious jokes  and terrible impressions, to his ugly Hawaiian shirts and broken coke bottle glasses. But each member had a guilty pang in their stomach when they thought about things, because had richie stayed, he would have had to endure  nit only being with parents that neglected and abused him, but being without his twin.

"It was richies turn to pick." Stan said quietly. The losers had rotated amongst themselves as to who would choose the movie to watch. 

"That makes it my turn then... but I don't  really want to go." Said Eddie. 

"Well, he was on a streak of picking nightmare on elm street for every week for like... the past year." Said Ben. 

"Alright." And they half heartedly watched the movie. It was the first annual losers club sleepover without him. 

Eddie sat awkwardly on the love seat, his usual spot for movie night. He kept glancing at richies usual spot, as if if he hoped enough, richie would be sitting beside him. 

Richie would always give him shit for this. 

'I knew you loved me Eds! Why else would it be called a loooooooOooove seat?" 

He sat sadly as Ben, Beverly, Stan, and bill squished onto one couch, and as mike lounged on the squishy arm chair, smirking at them, because each and every week, they'd battle over that chair as Richie and himself watched contentedly from their love seat, and every week, he'd trick them into letting him have it. 

Beverly eventually got tired of eddies constant sulking, and much to bill and bens dismay, she left them to go talk to him. 

"Eddie?" 

"Mmhmm?" 

"Can we talk?" 

"Yep." 

"In private?" 

Of cpurse, she wanted to talk about precisely what he was trying to keep his mind off of. 

"I... fine."

Bev grabbed the small boys hand and dragged him into bills kitchen. 

"Eddie... I know... I know you miss him. We all do. It'll take some getting used to but, you can't let it keep you from just being happy." 

"No bev! I can't just.. forget! You don't... understand." 

"Eddie." 

"Bev I'm fine." 

" no, you're not." 

" you're right. I'm not. I'll never know. I'll never know what he would've... I dunno. God, I just miss him so bad, already. I miss all of his stupid nicknames, how his glasses make his eyes so big, I even miss his jokes about my mother. I just hate it! I hate how hell never tap on my window at one in the morning just to pop in  and say hi. I fucking hate it so much. And it's only been like... four days. "

"Eddie. Iya not like well never see him again. I'm sure he'll visit. You can't just block everyone else out because one of us is gone." 

"What if he finds new friends? What if he forgets about m- us?" 

"He Won't forget." 

"How do you know?" 

" I just do. We all know he'd sacrifice anything for us. That's the kind of people that stick with you no matter how far you are." 

"Okay. Fine. But-" 

"No buts." 

"Beverly marsh. I want to tell him. But I don't want to do it  over the phone. 'Hey, richie! I know you just moved a million miles away, but I've been literally in love with you since like second grade! Thought you should know!" 

"Then go to Indiana." 

"But my mom.."

"Screw your mom!" 

" well I can't just go to Indiana bev." 

" why the hel not?!"

" well... I don't know!" 

"Call and ask!" 

"But he JuSt Left!" 

"But you miss him." 

"That's not the point!" 

" then what is the point?"

"What if he... rejects me? He'll hate me. He'll fucking hate me." 

" he won't!" 

"How do you know?" 

"Come on Eddie. Have you seen the way he looks at you? I garnered he feels the exact same way." 

"But..." 

"Come on." 

"Fine" and they finished the movie, this time, bev sitting by Eddie."
