─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
In the harsh wind, in my wounded heart
It seems like the world is telling me to just give up
Only endless darkness
Where will we go at the end of this?

No One's POV:
"Y-yes, come in"
Minho stepped in, his heart aching for her. "Hana?" he said softly, approaching her bedside.
But she doesn't look at him.
"I'm going to take a bath, my body aches. I'll talk to you later"
She said her eyes filled with tears, flowing down her face.
"Please, look at me. I'm not here to ask you anything.
Just stop crying, you're going to get more sick."
He gently guided her back onto the bed. She didn't resist at all, making the motion effortless.
Hana looked up at Minho, her eyes filled with tears, as she tried to steady her breathing. His calm and reassuring presence provided a small anchor in the storm of her emotions. Gently, he wiped the tears from her cheeks and tucked stray strands of hair behind her ear.
"You're a bit warm. Just focus on taking deep breaths, okay?"
"I've upset Mom again," Hana said, her voice breaking as she looked up at him while sitting up. "She hung up on me."
"Shh, don't cry. Just calm down. She's your mom; she'll come around."
"Minho, it's not my fault. I didn't say anything wrong."
"I'm so sorry, Hana,"
Minho said, pulling her into a warm, reassuring hug.
Hana clung to him, her tears soaking into his shirt. But he dint care.
"I can't do this. I don't what else I can do."
Minho gently wiped the tears from Hana's cheeks, his touch firm but comforting.
"Hey, it's okay," he said softly.
"You'll figure this out, you always do. But I'm here to help, you know that, right?"
Hana nodded, her voice trembling.
"I'm tired. My head hurts so much."
"Go back to sleep, I'll wake you up in a while when breakfast's ready."
Hana closed her eyes, the exhaustion weighing heavily on her. Minho tucked the blankets around her, making sure she was comfortable. He gave her a final reassuring pat on the shoulder.
"I'll be right here," he said quietly. "Just get some rest."
As Hana drifted off, Minho quietly left the room. He moved around the kitchen with a quiet determination, preparing breakfast while his mind remained occupied with thoughts of Hana. He knew that her parents had been less than supportive, but the details of their strained relationship were murky to him. He wished he could understand more so he could be a better friend.
When breakfast was ready, Minho made sure everything was neatly arranged on the table. He took a deep breath, and went back to Hana's room to wake her.
Gently, he shook her shoulder and spoke in a soothing voice.
"Hey, Hana," he said softly.
"Breakfast is ready"
Hana stirred slowly, her eyes fluttering open. She took a moment to register Minho's presence and the comforting smell of breakfast wafting into the room. With a grateful sigh, she nodded and started to sit up.
"Thanks, Minho," she said, her voice still groggy but filled with appreciation.
Minho helped her adjust the blankets and offered a supportive hand as she got out of bed.
"No problem at all. Let's get some food in you and see if that helps."
Suddenly, Minho paused and walked closer to her, placing his hand on her forehead.
"Wait a second, Hana."
"What's wrong?" she asked, puzzled.
Minho's concern grew as he felt her warmth.
"I think you're running a fever. Let's check for sure.
Where's your thermometer?"
Hana shuffled to her drawer and handed him the thermometer. He placed it on her forehead, waiting as it beeped and flashed a red light.
"39 degrees," Minho said, his brow furrowing in concern as he looked at the thermometer. "You're really burning up. I'm not sure how you're still up and about, but that's beside the point. Just stay here; I'll bring breakfast to you in bed."
Minho quickly set up a small table next to Hana's bed and hurried back to the kitchen to fetch the pot of hot rice porridge he had prepared.
He rushed into the room, carefully placing the pot on the table, but as he did, he hissed,
"Hot, hot, hot—damn it, I should've used a kitchen cloth!"
He grimaced as he quickly adjusted the pot, trying to avoid further mishaps.
Hana's lips curved into a smile at his flustered attempt to manage the situation. Minho felt a sense of relief seeing that smile, especially after the earlier tears and the way she had trembled in his arms while masking her pain, showing a facade that she was okay.
"Are you laughing at me? I almost burnt my hand."
he said, his own smile broadening despite the minor mishap.
"You're quite clumsy."
Hana replied, her smile fading into a straight line.
Minho carefully scooped some porridge into a spoon, letting it cool slightly before bringing it to Hana's lips.
"Here you go," he said gently, holding the spoon steady. "Try this and let me know if it's okay."
Hana accepted the spoon, her eyes meeting his with a grateful expression. As she took the first bite, Minho watched with a hopeful smile, eager to see her reaction.
Hana nodded appreciatively, the warmth of the porridge seeming to bring some comfort.
"It's perfect," she said softly, a faint smile returning to her face.
"Thank you, Minho."
Minho scooped another spoon, letting it cool down and looked at Hana with earnest eyes.
"Keep smiling, Hana," he said softly. "I don't like seeing you cry like that."
She's smiling only because he's here. Hana's smile lingered, but she didn't respond verbally.
Only if he knew what was going on in her head.
He fed her the remaining porridge, until Hana's stopped him.
"I'm full."
"Okay, just have your meds, and also, take one of the fever-reducers.
Your fever needs to come down."
"Yeah, you should have some breakfast too. I've kept you here too long."
"It's okay, I'd rather be here."
"I don't want you to get sick."
"But I'll be back again. You better rest."
"After a bath, yeah. I'll rest."
"I'll leave you to that."
If Minho knew what she planned to do in the bath, he'd insist she stay in bed and never leave her side.
