Seungmin and Jeongin suggested we step outside for some fresh air and to be around people, hoping it would help shake off the lingering tension from last night. Minho and I both agreed—I needed a change of scenery too.

"We'll talk about us once the day is over, okay?"
I whispered to Minho before slipping into my room.

After a quick shower, I picked out two sets of clothes, just in case we ended up staying overnight. I chose a simple pair of jeans and a hoodie, keeping things casual, and wrapped a scarf around my neck. I packed a padded jacket, just to be on the safe side. I kept my face simple too—just the basic skincare everyone does, followed by a swipe of tinted lip balm.

"Hana, how long are you going to take? Minho hyung's already done!" Jeongin called out.

"Maybe because he packed in advance and I didn't!" I shot back, trying to hurry up without rushing too much.

I made sure everything was in place—my phone wasn't fully charged, but I figured we'd end up at someone's house, so I could always charge it there. I checked the mirror to make sure my outfit and hair were alright, but then realized I should probably add a little makeup—maybe just some concealer to even things out.

It hurt as I swiped my finger over my cheeks, applying the product to the most visible bruised spots. It didn't cover everything perfectly, but at least it made the purple color a little less noticeable.

I grabbed the duffle bag I had packed, along with a small handbag for my phone, moisturizer, and lip balm. The weather had been getting colder lately, so I made sure to keep the essentials close.

"Okay, I'm done—let's go. Wait, where's Seungmin?"

"In the washroom." Jeongin replied.

I shook my head as I rifled through the shoes. "And you were hurrying me?"

"Chan hyung said he's going shopping with Changbin. I think I'm going to tag along; I need to grab a few things for today," Minho said.

"What do you need?" I asked.

"Just some meat and drinks. Hyung's buying the coal and firewood, and we need to pick up the griller from Changbin's house."

"What about tents? Who's getting them?" Jeongin asked.

"Wasn't that supposed to be... never mind, I'll handle it. Adding that to the list. I should probably swing by my place to pick up the tents too."

"I think Hyunjin and Felix are getting the folding chairs and blankets," Jeongin added, with Minho nodding in agreement.

"Can I come with?" I asked.

"Of course you can. My dad will probably be at his restaurant, but my mom should be home," he replied.

"Yes, I'd really like that."

"Alright then. Is everyone ready to leave?" Seungmin suddenly appeared, hurrying over.

"Took you long enough. We were just figuring out what else we need to pick up."

"We already got the instant rice, noodles, and soft drinks with a cooler—just in case someone doesn't want to drink alcohol," Seungmin said, throwing a pointed look in my direction.

"And Chan doesn't drink either, so don't even start with that," I shot back.

"It's all with Hyunjin and Felix. We gave it to them in a hurry."

"Alright, I'll drive the three of you to my place for the tents, then we can head to Chan's. Sound good?"

"Perfect. Let's go."

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

Seungmin and Jeongin chatted amongst themselves as we left the house, Minho's cats nestled in their carrier bags. We were heading to drop them off at his parents' place as we passed by.

"I swear, if they make me sick—"

"Shut up, you're only allergic to the fur, not their presence," Jeongin teased.

"Yeah, my babies are well-groomed. They don't shed much," Minho chimed in proudly.

"Seungmin, how did you two get here?" I asked.

"The bus," Jeongin replied. "Because, who was going to drive us back if we drank? I'm not leaving my car miles away just to go all the way back the next day."

"That's why we didn't carry any of our stuff," Seungmin added. "We told you, it's all with Hyunjin and Felix because they already had so much stuff."

"So you gave them more?" Minho laughed.

"I mean, comparatively, ours was barely anything. I don't know how they had so much," Seungmin shrugged.

"Yeah, how about you try carrying nine blankets, nine chairs, and two of your own bags?" I chuckled. "And also, are you indirectly telling me I'm going to have to drive all the way back with the three of you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Make that five," Seungmin corrected. "Hyunjin and Felix too."

"This is going to be..." I trailed off, trying to process.

"Fun?" Jeongin offered with a grin.

"I was going to say eventful, but yeah whatever floats your boat, Jeongin," I replied, shaking my head.

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

"Mom, we're here!" Minho called out as he carried two cat carriers, and I followed closely behind with Doongie's carrier in hand.

"Oh, baby!" his mom exclaimed, rushing over and engulfing Minho in a warm hug, her arms wrapping around him like she hadn't seen him in weeks, even though it had only been a few days.

I shifted uncomfortably, standing off to the side, watching the tender exchange. A sharp wave of jealousy coursed through me, but I quickly shoved it down because it wasn't fair to Minho. He deserved all the love in the world—and more. Unfortunately, it was my problem that it wasn't my reality.

"Oh, you brought your friends too!" Minho's mom exclaimed, her voice warm and delighted. Without missing a beat, she pulled me into a hug, wrapping me in the same affection she'd given Minho.

I froze for a second, not used to the immediate warmth, but then I relaxed, letting myself be enveloped in her embrace. "Of course I came along," I said, my voice lighter than usual, the words coming out more easily than I'd expected. "I missed you and I wanted to see you." And this time, it was genuine—a soft smile tugging at my lips as I meant every word.

"Oh, my pretty girl, I missed you too," Minho's mom cooed, her voice filled with affection as she pulled back from the hug to look at me. Her eyes sparkled with genuine joy, and for a brief moment, I let myself bask in the comfort of her words.

She turned to Seungmin and Jeongin then, giving them the same outpouring of love—hugging each of them with the same warmth. Her kindness wasn't just something she reserved for Minho. It was for all of us. Minho's mom was really... so, so loving.

She offered each of us a cup of ginseng tea, her smile warm as always, before rushing back into the kitchen, her hands already busy with something else. "Tell me before you leave okay?" she called over her shoulder.

Minho took a sip of the tea, then glanced toward the kitchen, his voice loud enough for her to hear. "Mom, I'm leaving Soonie, Soongi, and Dori here for the night. Do you have any leftover cat food?"

From the kitchen, his mom's voice floated back, clear and unbothered. "I still have an unopened sack of cat food. They'll be fine, Minho."

We walked around to the back of the house, heading toward the attic where Minho insisted the tents were stored. Seungmin and Jeongin climbed the ladder first, followed by Minho.

I paused at the base of the ladder, crossing my arms and looking up. "Do you even need me up there?" I called out, half-joking.

Minho glanced down at me from the top of the ladder, his brow raised in mild amusement. "You can stand there and keep watch if you want," he said, his voice teasing. "But we'll probably just end up tossing the tents down to you."

I crossed my arms, standing a little further back as I looked up at them.
"No, thank you. I'm not getting hurt today," I called out, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "I trust none of you to be careful."

Minho shot me an exaggerated pout from above. "Wow, you wound me, Hana. I thought you believed in me."

"Yeah, maybe in your ability to mess things up, but not in your ability to be careful," I teased back, raising an eyebrow.

"Alright then, we'll hand them down to you. Help us carry them out."

"Them? More than one?" I asked, confused.

"Two or three, I think," Minho's voice was already fading as he rummaged around in the attic.

I heard Jeongin complain from above. "Hyung, are you sure they're in the attic?"

"That's not where I asked you to look, you idiot." Minho grumbled in response. "It's in a huge plastic bag... or maybe not. I don't even remember."

I heard a thud from above as Seungmin knocked something over. "I swear, if we have to dig through this entire attic..." he muttered under his breath.

"Well, someone has to find it," Minho shot back, his voice distant. "And I seriously can't be bothered searching this whole place. What's the worst that could happen? We'll sleep in the car."

"You're the one who put it up there, hyung," Jeongin said, clearly annoyed. "So maybe you should be the one looking for it."

"I am looking for it!" Minho snapped back. There was the sound of boxes being shuffled around, followed by a loud, frustrated sigh. "Okay, I think I found it."

There was a brief pause, followed by a loud rustling and then a tent—or something like it—tumbled down, landing with a soft thud just in front of me. I jumped back, but somehow managed not to trip over my own feet.

"See? What did I tell you?" I grumbled, kicking the pile of fabric aside.

"We only have two tents, by the way, not three, hyung," Jeongin said, carefully handing me the second rolled-up tent.

Minho's voice was filled with disbelief. "No, I swear there's another one. We used it on that family vacation last year. I definitely carried three tents."

"Do you mean this small roll at the back?" Seungmin's voice rang out, loud and clear. Minho walked off.

"Yes, that's the one," Minho confirmed, sounding relieved. "It fits three people. The other two fit five each." Minho said walking over again and handing the last roll before he jumped down the ladder.

Minho, Seungmin and Jeongin jumped down the ladder, folding it back in the ceiling, and walked away carrying the tents.

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

"Chan hyung, you're home, right?" Minho spoke into his phone as we were leaving his house, when suddenly his mom stopped me.

"Hana-yah, just a second. Take this." She said, holding out a small disposable ice pack.

"Ice pack? What for, Mom?" I asked, not confused, but just wanting to play oblivious.

"For your face, my child," she replied gently. "Place it on and off for at least 20 minutes, okay?"

"Oh, I thought you wouldn't notice. Thank you, I'll do it," I said, gratefully taking the ice pack.

"How could I not see that nasty bruise on your face, my dear? How did it happen? Are you okay?" Minho's mom asked, concern clearly written on her face.

"Don't worry, Mom, I'm good. I'm just clumsy. Nothing to worry about," I said, flashing her a reassuring smile, hoping to ease her worry.

"It doesn't look like something you just happened to trip into," she added, her voice soft but firm, as if trying to read through the layers I'd put up.

I cleared my throat, attempting to keep my composure. "Really, it's fine. I just—uh—misjudged something when I was out. You know how it is, accidents happen."

Her eyes narrowed slightly, not buying the explanation but still willing to let it slide for the moment. "If you say so," she said, her voice still laced with worry. "But don't forget to take care of it, Hana."

I forced a smile, the edges of it feeling more and more brittle. I nodded quickly, trying to placate her. "I know, I promise. Thank you for the ice pack."

"All done? We should leave, hyung is waiting for us." Minho, sensing the conversation drifting deeper.

Minho's mom gave one last, lingering look before she smiled softly and patted my head, though the concern still didn't fully leave her expression. "Alright, be careful out there. Both of you."

"I don't like that my mom likes you more than me," Minho muttered as we headed back to the car. Seungmin and Jeongin were already inside, but Minho's words lacked any real bite. He shot me a playful glare, though the teasing tone in his voice and the small smile tugging at the corner of his lips made it clear he wasn't genuinely upset.

"That's not true," I replied with a gentle laugh. "She obviously loves you more—she's your mom."

Minho shrugged, still smiling. "No, but I'd prefer it this way. You deserve it. If it means you'll feel loved, I'll share my mom with you." His voice was playful, but it softened at the last part, as though he meant it with all his heart.

I playfully hit his shoulder, a blush creeping up my neck.
"You can't just say stuff like that out of nowhere, Minho!"

"Yeah maybe stop flirting, let's go!" Seungmin yelled from the backseat, his tone dripping with mock disgust. "We don't have all day!"

Both Minho and I tensed, exchanging a quick, awkward glance. Seungmin's timing was impeccable, as usual. "Seriously, Seungmin," Minho muttered, trying to brush it off.
"You don't have to ruin the mood."

Hana cleared her throat, forcing a smile. "Yeah, let's just go." she said, her voice slightly strained as she tried to steer the conversation away. But as she passed by Seungmin's open window, she whispered, "I'm going to kill you one of these days," but there was no real bite to her words.

"I'm so scared, Hana," Seungmin teased, his grin wide.

Hana rolled her eyes, her tone playful but firm. "I don't like you, at all."

Minho rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath before climbing into the driver's seat. "Seungmin is so annoying." I chuckled, sliding into the passenger seat beside Minho.

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

"Isn't that Felix hyung?" Jeongin asked, leaning closer to the window and squinting to make out the figure. "Yeah, that's him. I definitely thought they'd be late," he replied with a chuckle.

"I don't get why we were in such a hurry though, I mean we don't leave until the evening." Minho said.

"Because you and Chan procrastinated on the things you needed to buy," Seungmin replied, "and besides, the later we met, the later we'd leave, and we'd end up missing all the good stuff at the amusement park."

"I say we scare Felix," I said, ignoring Minho and Seungmin's whines as I used the ice pack a little more before I throw it out. "What's he looking for so closely in his car?"

"He would deadass punch you right in the face, he's a real scaredy cat." Minho said, laughing.

"Or not," I said changing my mind. "Another bruise on the face, no thank you."

"Hey Felix!" I yelled from the car as Minho parked.

Felix, looking distressed with furrowed eyebrows, looked up. But as soon as he realized who had called out, his face relaxed, the tension easing a bit.

"What's wrong? What are you looking for? Did you drop something?" I asked, leaning out of the car window, watching him closely.

"Oh, nothing, just... my wallet. I thought I left it in the car, but I guess I didn't."

"So you didn't find it?" I asked, finally getting out of the car.

"No, not yet. It's not at home, nor in the car," Felix replied, looking frustrated.

"Where's Hyunjin? Did you ask him?" Seungmin asked, glancing around.

"He lives with me dumbass, he was the first one I asked."

"You know Hyunjin hyung is clumsy, he could have taken your wallet thinking it's his," Jeongin suggested, trying to help.

"Who's wallet is that?" Minho asked, peeking in from the driver's seat.

"Oh, it's Hyunjin's. He drove us—wait. He actually could have taken mine." Felix's expression shifted as he realized the mix-up.

"Now who's the dumbass?" Seungmin stuck his tongue out at him, teasing.
"Call him, what are you waiting for?"

"Oh yes," he said, pulling out his phone but rolling his eyes. "No need, that stupid man just texted me and has already used my card for 10,000₩. My wallet is definitely not lost."

"Well, be thankful that it's just Hyunjin with 10,000₩ and not a thief with your entire bank balance."
I said laughing.

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

Minho rang the bell, and we waited for someone to open the door. I tried to push away the thoughts that someone might notice, might ask, and I'd have to explain.

"Look at me," Minho said.

"Why?" I asked, but I glanced at him anyway.

"I guess my mother's trick worked well, you can barely see the purple," he said, a small smile tugging at his lips as he looked at me.

"Oh my god yay you're all here!" an excited, squirrel-like boy exclaimed as he opened the door, his energy infectious.

"Jisung!" I squealed, so happy to see him. Seeing all of them, everything that happened last night, this morning, everything, was suddenly out of my head, forgotten, like a piece of worthless information.

Jisung grinned widely, pulling me into a tight hug. "Hana I missed you!" he said, his voice full of excitement. I laughed, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders.

"But we saw each other two days ago?" I said, laughing as Han moved away, letting us all inside.

"For like 10 minutes?" Han replied, grinning and doing one of those boy handshake things with Minho and the other two.

"No hugs for me?" Felix pouted, crossing his arms as Han reached out for a handshake as well. "We're officially not best friends."

He rolled his eyes but stepped forward, pulling him into a quick hug. "There, happy now?"

Felix grinned, his pout immediately disappearing. "Much better," he said, his usual mischievous smile returning.

"Where's Chan and Changbin hyung?" Seungmin asked.

"Changbin hyung is getting something from the storeroom, gasoline and the portable stove I think? Chan hyung is taking a bath," Han replied, shrugging casually.

"Okay, before anything, I need to put my phone on the charger, or else it's gonna die." I started looking around for an outlet.

Han pointed to the corner. "There's an outlet in between the couches, and it should be free. All our phones are charging in our room."

"Okay, if you need to eat anything, Channie hyung cooked this morning, so have that from the stove," Han said, his voice casual. "I'm going to take a bath now. I was waiting for at least one of you to come before I could get busy."

Seungmin, Jeongin, and Felix didn't waste a second after hearing that and dashed straight to the kitchen, eager to dig into the food. I moved to the couch, trying to find an outlet to plug in my phone.

I finally settled on the same couch, and Minho joined me, wordlessly sitting down beside me while scrolling through his phone. The silence between us felt oddly comfortable, as we both just focused on our own things.

"God, I'm hungry too," Minho said, glancing at the kitchen.
"I'm gonna go grab some breakfast. You want some?"

I shook my head, still focused on my phone. "No, I'm good. Thanks though."

"You haven't had anything Hana, you must be tired after... a long night."

"You know I'm not hungry in the morning's, and besides, we had coffee, so technically I'm not empty stomach right now."

"You can't survive on coffee only."

"Watch me do just that." I said, looking through my phone.

"Suit yourself I guess," Minho said, blinded with hunger.

I was scrolling through my phone when Changbin and Chan walked in.

"Oh, Hana! You came! That means the others came too?" Changbin shouted, his voice as loud as ever, but it still made me smile.

"Changbin! Chan!" I grinned, sitting upright. "Yeah, yeah, everyone except Hyunjin's here."

"Why's Hyunjin missing?" Changbin playfully complained.

"He went to buy something, but he'll be here soon," I replied.

"I miss Hyunjin already," Changbin mumbled, shaking his head dramatically as he disappeared into the kitchen.

"Where were you last night? We were worried sick," Chan said, walking over with that concerned, big-brother expression he always wore when something was on his mind.

"Oh, nothing serious," I shrugged, trying to downplay it. "My phone was on silent all night, and I ran out of service. So none of your messages went through. I came back late, figured you guys would be asleep anyway, so I didn't bother texting."

Chan raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Sleep? What is this 'sleep' you speak of?"

"Haha, Chris, you're hilarious," I laughed, rolling my eyes.

"Wow, legal name? No honorifics?" Chan said with mock shock, but he didn't look mad, just surprised.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to," I apologized quickly.

"No, no, it's okay," he chuckled. "It actually reminds me of my sister. I like it. You don't have to be formal with me. I'm glad you said it."

"Right, right." I smiled, a little quieter now, but the warmth in the room made it feel like home.

"So... are you going to tell me how last night went?" Chan asked, his voice soft but full of curiosity.

"Nothing special, honestly. Just gave my dad his memento, listened to the speeches, socialized... That's about it. Told you, nothing major."

"I didn't know your parents were that influential," Chan said, his eyes widening. "They even made headlines on some news outlets."

"I'd rather have normal, decent parents, honestly," I said with a small sigh. "But I guess it's cool that they're on the news."

"You fit right in," Chan teased, nudging my arm lightly.

"I don't like the spotlight," I said, the words slipping out before I could stop them. "It's not my thing."

"The spotlight's not so bad," Chan chuckled, nudging me again. "Sometimes it's nice. Anyways, where's everyone?"

"They're in the kitchen," I replied.

"Ah, okay. I should eat too. Thought I'd take a bath before breakfast—now I'm regretting it," Chan said, sounding playful but already heading towards the kitchen. "What are you doing here? You should come eat with us. Don't sit all by yourself."

"I'm not hungry," I mumbled.

"Fine, then sit with us at least!" Chan called over his shoulder as he walked into the kitchen, leaving me to follow after him.

I shuffled into the kitchen, and as I walked in, Seungmin immediately caught sight of us.

"Oh hyung!" he exclaimed through a mouthful of food. "You're finally here!"

"Is there anything left to eat?" Chan asked dramatically, collapsing onto the chair beside me with a deep sigh.

"Leftovers? Of course there's leftovers," Jeongin said, pushing a pan of food and a plate toward him.

"No, no, don't you dare eat all of it first," Changbin said, looking up from the stove, eyes wide. "I'm starving, I need to eat, or I'll get hangry."

"I'm not waiting for you," Chan said, grabbing a plate for himself and sitting down next to Seungmin, ignoring Changbin's theatrics. "Minho, let's get going soon. We should head to the amusement park before it gets crowded."

"Who's going to buy the tickets?" Hyunjin asked, raising an eyebrow at the group.

"I already booked them online," Felix said with a grin. "Why wait in line?"

"Nice one, Felix," Jeongin said, giving him a thumbs-up. "Now, who's going to deal with the camping stuff?"

"I've got the gasoline, but we're out of canned gas," Changbin said, scratching his head.

"Ugh, really?" Minho groaned, clearly ready to get moving. "Okay, we should get going soon, right?"

"I haven't packed yet. Give me a few minutes," Chan said sheepishly. "And Han wanted to come too, so we're waiting for him."

"Han? He's still in the bathroom?" Jeongin asked, sounding almost as if he were making fun of him.

"Yeah, he's taking forever." Minho rolled his eyes.

"I'm here!" Han yelled from the hallway, his voice playful but loud. He appeared a second later, wearing a towel wrapped around his head. "I wasn't taking forever!"

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

"Take it," Minho said, tossing a granola bar into my lap. "No arguments."

"I thought I said I wasn't hungry."

"And I thought we agreed on letting me take care of you." He gave me a casual grin, settling on the couch beside me without a second thought.

"Whatever," I said with a playful roll of my eyes, opening the wrapper anyway.

Everyone kept themselves busy in their own little worlds. Hyunjin had arrived a while ago, now sprawled on the floor, sketching absentmindedly on his iPad. Jeongin and Felix had both fallen asleep not long ago, their soft breaths the only sound from the couch where they lay. Meanwhile, Seungmin and Jisung were huddled together, laughing quietly as they watched videos on the couch in front of us.

Minho and I had gradually slipped into each other's arms over time. We were both lost in our phones, mindlessly scrolling. Well it was peaceful until a notification flashed across my screen. The one I dreaded seeing.

Minho's eyes shot to my screen the moment he felt my body tense.

"Please, not now," I whispered, my voice barely above a breath.

"It's your dad," he said, stating the obvious.

I stared at the notification. "Do I even bother?" I muttered, the question hanging heavy between us.

"Just see what he has to say, but don't open it," Minho suggested. "It mustn't be something serious, he would rather talk to you on the phone or face to face, don't worry."
His words were meant to calm me, but the knot in my stomach refused to loosen.

The messages kept barraging my phone, so I drag the notification bar down, reading them one by one.

Dad

Hana-ya, I'm sorry. I was not aware, not for one second
what was being plotted behind your back.
What happened yesterday was not fair to you.
I had a talk with your mother. And yedam's parents.

Come home, Hana. If you're okay.

Messages                                                                                         4 minutes ago

I know, I'm sorry I shouldn't have tried to invade your privacy,
but I know you're seeing a therapist. I know you're struggling.
I haven't told your mom yet, and I don't plan on. Unless you
want her to know, it's up to you, I'm not going to interfere with your decisions.

I don't know if I should be telling you this, but, your Mom still thinks
she's right. I'm sorry I couldn't change her mind. We'll work through this.

Yedam reminded me something. I was never a Dad to you. I'm sorry my child.
There have been countless times I've been harsh on you—maybe you didn't deserve it.
I don't know... I'm still figuring it out. I couldn't even sleep last night.

I don't know why I'm telling you this, moreover it feels so odd, telling my regrets
to my own daughter. You have grown up now, maybe that's why.

Talk to me it there's anything wrong, though I doubt you trust me.
I hope you still have your friends, what were their names?

See, I'm truly a bad father, I don't even remember their names.

I have to go now, I have patients to see. Take your time, I won't be mad if you don't reply, I will try to understand from now onwards. Sorry that I realized this so late. You'll always be my child,
There are so many things I've never told you. If you ever decide to see me, I'll tell you then. If you don't feel like coming home, I understand, but you can always come to my office.

"See, nothing to worry about." Minho said, combing his fingers through my hair.

"I'm going to text him back," I said, and he nodded his head.

Yedam reminded me something. I was never a Dad to you. I'm sorry my child. There have...
reply⤶

at least you weren't a bad father.

I'm alright. at least I will be.

don't fight too much with mom.

she'll come to her senses, she always does.

I love you, dad.

thank you for standing up for me.

"See, not so bad after all." I said, a small smile tugging on my lips.

"You're far too kind for this world, Hana."

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

"Minho, let's go. We're ready now," Chan and Changbin said in unison, rushing out with duffel bags and two trolley bags that I assumed were packed with camping food and gear. Even Jeongin, Felix, Seungmin, and Jisung straightened up, hearing the commotion.

"Do you have to go?" I mumbled, getting away from him.

"Unfortunately, yes." He said getting and up and wearing his jacket.

I watched him discuss, come to a conclusion that they would stick to the list and not spend their money on unwanted things, though I doubt that.
"Only four things, you hear that, only four. Changbin and Jisung I'm looking at you both."
Minho said.

"Bye Hana." Minho said playfully, leaning down to press kiss on my forehead once they were ready to leave. I froze, eyes widening in surprise. It obviously wasn't the first time he'd done that, but this time in front of everyone,  it caught me off guard. I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks as I registered the shocked stares from our friends.

"Oh," Minho said, his gaze flicking around the room, taking in the shock on everyone's face. He paused for a moment, clearly aware of the attention. "Don't give me that look." And walked away to the foyer.

Chan, Changbin and Jisung playfully squinted at me as they left, I just knew they were going to pester Minho about this. It's not like I wouldn't be a victim to it, I had four such people here too.

Jeongin nudged me with a playful kick. "What's going on?" he asked, his voice laced with curiosity and mischief.

"Nothing?" I replied, trying to sound nonchalant, but my voice betrayed me with its slight tremble.

Seungmin raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. "Really? Because it looked like something was going on." His grin widened, waiting for me to crack.

I sighed, knowing I wouldn't be able to keep up the act for long. "It's nothing, seriously." But even as I said it, I could feel my face turning redder by the second.

Jeongin's grin widened as he continued,
"Well, something's definitely changed. You two were practically joined at the hip today."
His voice was light, but I could hear the teasing edge underneath.

I could feel my face burning even more now. "We weren't—" I started, but the words caught in my throat. It was hard to deny the truth when everyone had seen it.
I let out an exasperated sigh, wishing I could sink into the floor and disappear. "You guys are unbelievable."

I took a deep breath, bracing myself for the inevitable. "He told me he liked me," I said, my voice quiet but steady. "I... I felt the same way, so I confessed too. But... that's it. Nothing more."

"I knew Minho hyung liked her, I just didn't know you liked him back," Hyunjin said, his voice full of surprise as he stared at me, a grin slowly spreading across his face.
"You really made Minho's first love come true."
