For some LOVE is an emotion.

For some it is the purpose of their life. Purpose for them to breath.

But there are very few people you find for whom love is devotion and love is the only emotion they ever cherished.

Ruhan closed his eyes as he swallowed the sore lump in his throat.

The day had started and so was his never ending pain.

He did not wanted to open his eyes to see the world which had nothing for him. Nothing at all.

He left a breath which momentarily not only cooled his lungs but also his racing heart and whirlwinding mind.

He opened his eyes when he heard a knock on his door.

It was again her. Wasn't it strange how he knew the way she banged his door also.

Shaking his head a bit he moved to reach the door and opened it bringing the normal expression on his face.

He looked at her. She was wearing a floral off shoulder crop top with a matching palazo.

Her hair was neatly tied in a pony tail. This woman never left a chance to be perfect.

He would have lost himself again as usual if it wasn't her shrill.

"How many times have I told you haa?  Don't throw the towel in the living area" she threw the wet towel which she assumed of his as he might had dropped in the hallway while he walked back after the jogging.

"I... "

"You know it's a waste talking to you. You will never follow the rules of this house.  I will tell Dadi to throw you out as soon as your contract ends" she said annoyed.

"I... "

"Have you ever lived in a place called home?  You need to follow certain things Mr. It's not a hotel alright?" she showed her index finger this.

"Shhh" Ruhan moved placing his index finger on her lips to stop her from further speaking.

"Have you ever let anyone speak in your life?" he asked and she was still looking at him with her furrowed brows.

He dragged his hand back and she still was standing in the same position.

"And it is not my towel. It's Ansh's" he handed the towel back to her.

"I wish someday you change your persuasion towards me" he looked into her eyes which stretched.

"My persuasion about you will never change.  For me you are still an arrogant jerk and I know you will remain the same" Mishti glared Ruhan.

He smiled looking at the ground and then looked into her eyes.

He wasn't having any grudges or hate for her.

He mocked his fate.

The one girl with whom he never even want to be rude and arrogant is blaming him of that.

"Irony of life. Even my feelings and emotions will never change for you" he stretched his lips hiding the pain.

Just a day and she will be married. He can't let her enter his thoughts also now.

He looked at her. She was standing with her crossed arms and the hair strands flew over her face as the breeze touched her skin.

She moved some hair locks which were blocking her view.

"You want to let me know any of my hidden talents?" he asked and she gave him a glare and walked out of his room.

Ruhan closed the door and leaned to it sliding down looking up.

"Why don't my life turn just simple? Why can't I just forget her? Why can't I stay unaffected when she is around? Why? " he suppressed his scream and hit his fist to the floor.

His eyes had developed tears which were indicating his uncontrollable pain.

He covered his face with his palms. He so knew the time is gonna slow down still and the pain of his heart will only go on stinging him more and more.

But did had any other resolve? Probably no.

He wished his heart dies instead of bleeding while he will watch Mishti getting married to Veer.

But was that even possible? Miracles had changed their directions from his life from the day he realized he is ought to suffer from the pain of seeing Mishti getting married to someone else. And that some one else was his best friend who was more like his brother..

He knew his growing feelings for Mishti were wrong to cherish but he couldnt help it. The heart which never made its presence felt all these years started beating with a sync which was not in his control.

He had control over nothing. Not his emotions, not his feelings and at least not on his pain.

When the sun rays touched her skin tickling her Mishti's lips curved up into a cute smile.

Her knitted eyebrows relaxed and she slowly opened her almond shaped eyes.

The aroma of the henna and the sandalwood smell of her skin made her hug herself.

"Why do I feel special today?" she spoke in her morning crisp voice.

"Why do I feel today is my marriage?" she closed her eyes with still that cute smile.

Suddenly the dead cells of her memory enlightened the thing she had forgotten.

"Oh damn." she sat up in a quick movement. Her hair scattered around her face and eyes wide with shock.

"How could I possibly forget?" she pushed the quilt aside and rushed towards the washroom.

She banged herself to the door as she was walking with her half closed eyes.

"Damn" she cursed then opened the door of the washroom and entered it in a hurry.

She walked out and looked at the clock still drying her hair.

It was 7.30 in the morning. She sighed deeply and her head turned to the room door.

She remembered the day when Ruhan was on the door when she was in similar state.

"Why am I thinking about that idiot?" she moved her gaze to look at her hands.

She smilingly caressed the name written on her palm between the thumb finger and the index finger in a way it should be difficult for Veer to find his name.

She smiled hitting her head lightly.

She turned to walk towards her dresser and started drying her hair with the hair dryer.

As the tangles of hair flew she smiled enjoying the droplets falling on her skin. Her every moment with Veer flashed in her mind making her chubby cheeks turn beet.

"Oh my god" she jerked hearing Pari's voice. She nodded her head looking at Pari in the mirror.

"Seriously the Mishti has woken up today so early without Dadi's pampering? I am not dreaming. Am I?" she walked towards Mishti who was still drying her hair.

Mishti turned to her sister and pinched her hard.  Pari cried in pain.  "Now you believe. You aren't dreaming sister?" Mishti smirked.

"What happened Pari?" Ruhan came there running hearing Pari's scream. So did Dadi.

Mishti who saw him immediately hid behind Pari craning her neck glaring him with anger.

"I have told you hundred times you idiot. Don't enter girls room without knocking" Mishti screamed.

Ruhan turned his face aside. "I was just worried" he raised his palm.

"Nothing...." Pari's words got interrupted when Mishti screamed again.

"Now will you go?" she fumed and Ruhan walked away leaving Dadi and Pari looking at each other helplessly.

"Mishti. Why do you talk to him so rudely always?" Dadi walked inside.

"Exactly.  What has he ever done to you?" Pari asked.

Mishti remembered every situation annoying  her which was caused by Ruhan.

The first second when she first met him while he untied her hair.

Then the kiss due to the dare

and then the meet on her engagement.

Then the great save while she was falling down

and the candle light dinner Siyappa. There wasn't just one moment which had built a wall between them.

As the days passed the wall thickened and Mishti's heart has become more and more hard where as the same gap went on melting Ruhan. He was becoming more and more vulnerable as the seconds passed.

"Dadi. I don't want to waste my time discussing about him please. Today is the most special day of my life. Please don't spoil it. And Cherry on the cake is I will be away from that idiot. I need not see his face, I need not hear his voice. And I will never get annoyed anymore" she chirped happily.

Ruhan who was still near the wall smiled weakly and walked to his room.

He closed the door and sat on his bed pressing the edges of it as hard as possible.

"Atleast you will be happy Ms. Perfectionist" a tear developed in the bay and he smiled pressing his lower lip between his teeth.

"And for that I can do anything" the tear in his eye shone as he looked up swallowing the sore lump.

"That's so mean Mishti. You always behave so rudely with him and now you are talking all this" Pari was annoyed.

"Pari" Mishti dangled her hands across her sister's neck.

"Please na. I have only little time to be here" Mishti pleaded cutely to her sister who relaxed leaving a heavy breath.

"Fine" she smiled kissing Mishti's cheek. Dadi watched them with love. A tear developed in her eye.

"Ohho Dadi. You just need a occasion to drop those tears" Pari and Mishti both hugged their Dadi from either sides and drooled happy.

Ansh had dangled the wires across his neck while he was helping Arnav with flower decorations.

They both were making fun of each other and arranging everything related to decorations.

Bua walked with a tray of cool drinks. "Hot summer and the cool drinks" she chirped and gave a glass to everyone who was busy with decorations.

Arnav and Ansh ran to Bua to get their glasses. Then she saw Ruhan who was tugging the curtains. She walked to him and offered him a glass.

He nodded his head smiling.

"Take it baba. You must be tired right?" she pleaded him.

"If you insist" he smiled at Bua and took a glass. Gulping it down in a go he placed the glass back in the tray.

"Mishti might not have thought that some day the guy she kissed out of date will be decorating the mandap of her marriage. How the destiny plays isn't it?" Bua asked.

Ruhan stopped in midway and his memories travelled back to that day when Mishti kissed him outside the restaurant and ran away before he could realize what was happening around him.

"Bua. This is not the time to talk all that stuff. Mishti is getting married and I don't want any obstacles in that. Moreover you shouldn't be publishing it like a newspaper" he looked at Bua.

"Sometimes you make me feel you never got out of that moment. Did you?" asked she suspiciously.

Ruhan's heartbeat stopped and he looked blankly before batting his eyelashes.

"Um. Bua. I forgot to tell Arnav regarding flower arrangements" he hurriedly walked away from there.

Bua watched him amused and then her eyes fell on someone who was standing behind Ruhan.

"Pari" Bua spoke cheerfully looking at her.

Pari walked to her with lot of questions in her mind. What did she heard just now? Did that had any truth? Was that the reason for Mishti and Ruhan's behavior toward each other.

Bua was speaking so many things but nothing entered her mind.

She was still lost looking in the direction Ruhan walked away.

Ruhan came out of the washroom and wore his sherwani.

It was the day when Mishti and Veer were on wedding shopping and Veer insisted Ruhan to accompany him.

Ruhan had selected a sherwani of aqua green colour which had squares of golden colour.

Veer looked at it keenly.

"Is that the final choice?" Veer asked.

"If you ask me. Yes. This is actually perfect" he said smiling..

Mishti who walked in the shop after attending a clients call walked towards the same sherwani with glittery eyes.

"Veer this... " "Ruhan selected also same sherwani. I can't believe you both liked the same thing" he looked at her amused.

"I was saying this is so dull colour and you know you won't look good in pictures also..." she moved her gaze around and brought a velvet red sherwani.

Veer looked at her confused.

"Are you sure you want me to wear this Mish. Becuase that colour you don't even like" he said.

"This looks good on you Veer. End of discussion. I want you to wear something elegant and classy" she said and Veer looked at both the sherwanis.

How the one selected by Ruhan was exact definition of her choice and the one she selected was completely opposite of it.

But there was no reason for Mishti to be unpredictable at times. Somewhere he felt that her decision was due to Ruhan liking the same sherwani but then he did not intended to bother her with questions.

They walked to the Lehenga section after Veer buying the red velvet sherwani and Ruhan buying the one he actually selected.

Mishti was confused looking at the pile of Lehengas in front of her.

She placed her index finger on her teeth and confusingly looked at the dresses which went on piling up.

Ruhan watched her through the mirror the glass of the showcase had formed.

There was no particular time when Mishti did not looked cute. Her chubby cheeks and big almond shaped eyes and long eye lashes. And those Cherry coloured cute lips.

He couldn't help but lose himself in her face.

He walked and stood at the counter a bit far away from them.  He found a blue Lehenga.

He signed the shopkeeper who was tired as Mishti had still not selected the dress.

"Bhaiyaa. Show this one. She will like it" Ruhan whispered.

"You could only have suggested na saab" the shopkeeper asked.

"The thing is even if she likes it and I suggest she will burn it" he chuckled so did the shopkeeper.

He took the dress and placed it in front of Mishti.

Veer's phone rang and he walked out of the shop.

Mishti was watching the Lehenga with happiness in her eyes. It was evident that she was smitten by the Lehenga already.

"Don't buy it" she narrowed her eyes hearing Ruhan whispering behind her.

"You will look horrible in it. Trust me" he looked into her eyes.

Veer walked in after the conversation was over.

"Mish you selected anything?" he asked.

"This one" she held the dress and Veer looked at the beautiful Lehenga which looked like it was made for Mishti.

"Wow this is classy" he said pleased.

She smirked looking at Ruhan who laughed in his mind thinking how Mishti is happy selecting the Lehenga which he wished she will wear.

Ruhan smiled as he pushed the button of the sleeve and looked at himself in the mirror and started adjusting his hair.

He heard a knock on his door and opened it.

"Pari" he smiled welcoming her and they sat down on the bed.

"I came here to talk" she said seriously.

Ruhan looked at her narrowing his eyebrows. From the time he has known her she was never this serious.

"Tell me" he waited for her to initiate the talks.
