my phone vibrated on the bed beside me making me pick it up. paige was calling so i excitedly answered cus she's been sleeping a lot.

"hey boo" i said.

"hey beautiful.. i miss you so much" she said through her sleepy voice.

"i miss you more baby.. how you doing ?" i asked.

"okay.. better than yesterday its still a little stiff" paige replied.

"that's good! just give it time mama and you'll be back on the court in no time" i said.

"yeah.. what you been up too ?" she asked.

"nothing really! the normal so yk basketball, school work, and the studio" i said.

"and also i been working on a new episode of best of both worlds" i said.

"i can't wait to watch it! i think you should ft me again. im the best" she said making me giggle.

"ofc baby i got you" i said.

"so i been meaning to ask" she started and i nodded for her to continue.

"what happened between you and angel ?? yall use to be so close and now it's like yall hate each other" she asked.

"a lot lol. so it started with kateri ofc. coach took her off the team cus she thought she was looking at other schools while being at lsu and yk mulkey don't play that you gotta be fully committed" i started and she nodded.

"so her and kateri got into it and she was like she wasn't looking at other school cus she had no reason to. so then angel stepped in defending kateri and it got a little disrespectful"

"mhmm" paige said making me giggle cus she so messy lol. i love it tho.

"and i told angel like you gotta be respectful cus at the end of the day kim is still an adult and she's our coach. she got so mad at me and told me to stfu so i went right back at her cus i was just tryna keep you from running until yo legs fall off"

"and for some odd reason she thought i was like going against her but i wasn't. so then her and my mom got into it and her mom was basically like calling me dumb"

"AND YK KIA GONE CLAP BACK" paige said.

"YUHH" i said as we laughed.

"so my mom was like yeah but yo daughter the one with the 1.9 gpa this and that. and our relationship kind of fell apart after that" i said.

"yeah i noticed she unfollowed you and then you unfollowed her" she said.

"yeah cus don't unfollow me and leave me as yo follower. baby im not yo fan boo" i said.

"and that's how you clear a b****" paige said making me giggle.

"but for her to not like you she sure copying you. cus not she got her own podcast too talking about unapologetically angel girl boo" paige said.

"omg bae stop it" i said shaking my head.

"more like unoriginal angel" she said making me burst into laughter.

"STOP IT BABY. be nice" i said.

"ohh sorry" she said giggling.

"so like have you guys seen each other since ?"

"not since she got drafted no. and honestly having angel by my side was amazing and i love it and i do miss her but thinking that i came for you when i didn't is crazy"

"and yo mama tryna come for me and call me dumb that's done" i said.

"right like you're d*** near 50 picking at a 20 year old be fr" paige said.

"ykw you're actually kind of mean bae lol, like you say some mean sh** but you really be clocking tea" i said as we laughed.

it's bittersweet cus i do miss angel but then i don't cus i know where i stood with her when we were friends.

"yall seen what jada posted on her story ??" aubrey asked making me look up from my phone.

"no what did she post ?" i asked.

"she said she tired of these h*** wasting her time and she gone focus on herself for now on" aubrey read.

i looked over at kk and she looked so hurt. and not because she said that but because if yk kk yk she would never hurt anyone especially not on purpose.

"kk you okay ?" i asked.

"jeez" she whispered getting up. she went to the bathroom and shut the door behind her making aubrey and i look at each other.

"kk stop. open the door" aubrey said knocking lightly .

"no go away" she said from the other side.

"no.. we're your best friends you gotta let us help you." aubrey said.

i slowly got up and sat at the end of the bed taking the time to move my knee around a little so it won't be to stiff.

"kk please open the door" aubrey begged.

"here lemme try" i said. i grabbed a bobby pin from my hair and picked the lock unlocking it.

"should i be worried at the fact that yk how to pick locks ??" aubrey asked with a serious look.

"lol no i just did it cus my key was broken" i said and she nodded.

"kk stop. what's wrong ?" aubrey asked sitting beside her.

"i hate hurting people. and i never meant for it to happen im not a mean person" kk cried.

"girl jada just bitter and we get it like yall both got attached to each other and that don't but things happen and she need to let it go".

"she knows why you ended it and it was got a good reason and if she was ayanna she would want you to do the same thing" i added.

"don't cry it's okay. you're such a sweet and caring and amazing person kk everyone knows you wouldn't hurt a fly." aubrey said hugging her.

"i really thought she would understand" kk said into aubrey's shoulder.

"we all did.. you would think anyone who was a real friend and understands girl code would. but jada is a different breed" i said shaking my head.

"no tears ma. you're okay ts ain't nun to cry about" aubrey said rubbing her back.

kk exhale and wiped her tears and aubrey helped her up.

"okay im gonna order food you choose then movie kk" i said.

"ouuu okay" she said excitedly going to grab the remote.

"i just wanna have one good conversation with that girl cus why tf are you so bitter ?" i said to aubrey.

"exactly. and what gets me is the fact that she know why kk ended it & she know it's for a good reason so why act like she just broke yo heart or cheated or sum" aubrey said.

"i hate seeing her cry cus kk rarely cries. she's such a happy person and so full of life and she's usually the one with the big smile and stuff" i said.

"yeah. but im kind of glad her and jada didn't work out cus i think them being in a relationship would've hurt kk"

"mentally and emotionally drain her because the way jada act when she don't get her way or get what she want" aubrey said.

"right. and ion think her sweet, innocent, happy soul could handle that" i said.

i ordered our food and aubrey went to get it and we watched a movie and chilled. hopefully this makes kk feel better cus she doesn't deserve to feel down or bad bad this at all.
