we finished warming up and we went to the bench so geno can give us a little pep talk. after that he called out the starting 5 and we ran onto the court for the game to start.

it was hit directly to ashlynn and she dribbled down court and passed it to kaitlyn who shot a 3 and made it.

we got back on defense and she drove in and laid it up. i checked the ball out and ran down court and sarah passed it to me so i hit a jumper.

skip.. 3rd quarter 63-37 uconn leads.

ice threw the ball out to me but she tipped it so we both ran for it diving. i could feel her foot kick my knee making me scream out in pain.

my knee have been through h*ll and back so it's super weak and i hope that little kick didn't damage it and i definitely hope my acl isn't torn.

after 30 seconds of screaming in pain i grabbed kk's hand and she helped me up and i limped to the bench my knee was in excruciating pain.

"you okay paige ??" jana asked and i just shook my head cus im emotional and in pain right now.

"come on let's get you to the trainers room so we can get it checked out" the trainer said.

i wrapped my arms around her and kk and they helped me to the trainers room. i really hope it's nothing serious.

not only is this my last year in college but idk if my knee can handle another surgery or another tear at all.

"good luck bookie.. do you want me to stay with you ??" kk asked.

"thank you and no you should go play!" i said.

"okay". she gave me a hug and ran out of the room. a few seconds later aubrey walked in.

i love how both of my best friends are always here for me no matter what or where we are.

"you okay boo ?" she asked hugging me tightly.

"yeah just in a lot of pain. hoping it's not serious" i said as i hugged her back.

"well don't worry.. yk God is covering you right now." she said making me smile and nod.

"is she okay ??" aneesah asked as i paced back and forth.

"idk she hasn't texted me back yet" i said shaking my head.

i just decided to watch the rest of the game to distract myself cus they only had 1 qt left in the game.

"why was she in anyway ?? they was up by 30" aneesah said.

"exactly geno slow asf. putting all that on her body when she can really be resting. he got other people on the bench that could use that time to work and prove themselves" i said.

after the game i waited for paige to text me and she finally did.

she hearted the message and i threw my phone down on the bed.

"what she say ???" aneesah asked.

"she said that she's in pain and she's gonna check and make sure her acl isn't torn again" i said.

"poor paige.. she's been through so much with her knee injuries. i hope she's okay and it's nothing serious especially since yk she's a senior" aneesah said.

"right.. she spent sm time healing and working towards a healthier knee" i said shaking my head.

i plopped down on my bed and sighted. ik ts finna keep me up until we at least get an update on her knee.

"hey coach wassup ?" i asked sitting down at the chair in front of her desk.

"so i wanted to talk to you about you" she said.

"is something wrong ??" i asked.

"well i've noticed that you've lost unnecessary weight and i wanted to make sure ykk that you're okay" she said.

"yes ma'am, i've just been on a diet tryna keep my body right" i said.

"so your dieting ???" she asked.

"yes ma'am" i said.

"hannah crash dieting is not safe.. we talked about this" she said making me stare at her with a blank face.

"and as a former athlete ik what dieting you're doing just by how you look. if you were on a diet that included eating healthy foods you wouldn't be losing weight like this unless you aren't eating at all" she said.

"im good tho coach and ik whats best for my body. and its really working for me cus i can see the progress"

"hannah.. its not working your energy is low and you can barely go 5 minutes full out at practice. so you will change your diet and until then no basketball" she said .

"this is my body. im allowed to do what i want with it" i said standing up.

"and as your coach i'm making sure that you're healthy. and this isn't."

"liv told didn't she ?" i asked raising my voice a little.

"liv just cares about you hannah. and even if she didn't i would still know cus like i said ik all about diets. everyone on this team has noticed" coach ivey said.

"this is stupid" i said aggressively walking out the door.

this girl don't understand what "mind her business" means. i walked to the locker room and aggressively pushed open the door

"i can't believe you told coach. you promised liv" hannah yelled making me look at her.

"i never promised you anything hannah. i did what i had to do because you're so blind at the fact that this is not safe" i said.

"guys please don't yell" kate said.

"it's my body liv you should mind yo own business. if i wanted her to know i would've told her. and now i can't play basketball until i gain weight so i hope you're happy" she yelled.

"okay and im sorry i care about my best friend hannah. i never promised you sh** cus i know this isn't safe. you're harming yo body for what ?"

"for a basketball game ??"

"i don't like my body liv. and maybe just maybe i wanted to fix it and make it look how i wanted. how i treat my body has nothing to do with you"

"hannah we're worried tho. it's not safe for you to not eat" liatu said.

"okay. i hope your f*cking happy liv. next time mind yo d*** business don't worry about me okay" she said. she grabbed her bag and left letting the door slam behind her.

"i hope she'll start taking good care of herself tho" kylee said.

"crazy" i said shaking my head.

ik hannah would be mad when she found out i told coach but apart of me had a little hope that she would understand.

"don't worry liv you did what was right" sonni said.

i finished getting dressed and headed home to shower. imma give her some time to calm down before i go for my 100th attempt to get this girl to understand cus she don't.
