"baby come on, what did i do?" josh said as he practically ran up the stairs after tyler. "babe, wait!" they were arguing again and tyler was adamant on staying silent until they got up to the apartment.

"ty, tell me what i did?!" tyler abruptly stopped, spinning around to give josh a death stare. "alright, i know what i did" tyler continued up the stairs without a word, josh sighed before following.

once they got to the apartment tyler stormed in, the door swinging back at josh. josh finally got in and closed the door behind him, tyler finally turning to speak to him.

"why would you say that to my mother?!" tyler looked more hurt than angry, it made josh feel bad now.

"she just asked when we were going to have a child, and i told her what you said; you're not ready" the hurt in tyler's facial expression now changed to one of anger.

"i'm not ready?! that's not what i said, josh. and you know that. we're both not in the right place to have a child now"

"baby, i know you're stressed from work and everything but we could be ready. we can have a child now if you wanted, we could make it work here" tyler turned away shaking his head.

"in this small shitty apartment? josh there's hardly space for both of us in here, and you want to add a baby to the equation? we'd be changing diapers on the windowsill" tyler dropped to sit on the bed, already exhausted of having this argument yet again.

josh sighed, looking down at tyler and feeling bad for bringing this up again. he sat next to tyler, slinging his arm around him and pulling him closer. he kissed the side of his face a few times, bringing his hand up then to move his face to look at him.

"i'm sorry" they looked at each other for a moment, tyler leaning in first to kiss josh. "it's okay, i just" he paused for a second, "i'm ready for the responsibility, but we just don't have the money" josh smiled sadly at tyler, nodding slightly.

after hugging for a little longer they both got ready for bed. they cuddled up together, falling asleep slowly.

"we'll get there, love. i promise we will".
