Aslan's How

Some of the Narnian creatures became quite curious towards Jane and Daniel who were the first time visitors in Narnia. They thought those duo were wanderers who come from nowhere. Trufflehunter and Reepicheep caught up with the brother and sister as they began their walk their way up as all of them followed Caspian and the Narnian kings and queens.

"Hello, fellow strangers." Reepicheep greeted Jane and Daniel. "Who are you both? We've never heard of you before."

"Jane and Daniel." Jane replied. "We're Queen Dawn's siblings." Daniel turned to his sister with a raised eyebrow. "Don't you mean 'Daniel and Jane?'" He said.

"Hmph, whatever." Jane said, making a little face at her brother. Esther rolled her eyes. "Jane." She warned. Jane sighed and stopped bickering with Daniel.

"So, you're from the same world like the other kings and queens, hmm?" Trufflehunter added. Jane nodded yes. Reepicheep and Trufflehunter zooms in front of them and bowed to the brother and sister.

"I'm Reepicheep, fine sir and beautiful lady." The mouse introduced himself. "One of Caspian's most loyal, bravest and finest knights."

"And I'm Trufflehunter. One of Caspian's new friends." The badger greeted. Jane was a bit taken back by what Reepicheep just called her, but she composed herself. "Nice meeting you, Reepicheep." She replied politely. "But I have a boyfriend." And she walked ahead to catch up with Dawn.

Esther rolled her eyes. "Newbie." She muttered. Daniel shrugged his shoulders. "She's just protective of her relationship." He told her.

"Oh well." Esther sighed. Daniel then looked at Reepicheep and Trufflehunter. "So...I guess it's you two and me..and Queen Esther." Esther smiled at Daniel and the two animals. Edmund made a little huffy breath at the scene.

Lucy rubbed his bicep in an attempt to comfort her brother. "I'm sure we'll find a way to break the spell." She said sympathetically. "We'd better." Edmund grumbled. "Let's just hope we do it today." He then walked ahead followed by Lucy.

Jane finally caught up with Dawn who was walking beside Peter. "That mouse tried to hit on me." She whispered. Dawn giggled awkwardly. "What did he say?" She asked her sister. Before Jane could answer the question, Esther sighed as she walked past them. "He was just making a simple statement." She told her. "He wasn't hitting on you, no one would hit on a girl like you."

Jane rolled her eyes and brisk walked ahead of Dawn and Peter, feeling somewhat offended by what Esther just said. Dawn looked at her friend and shook her head in disappointment. "WHAT?! I'm being honest." Esther said innocently. Susan noticed it and went after Jane, followed by Caspian. "My lady, are you alright?" The Prince asked her.

Jane sighed. "No..." She answered, looking away from him. Susan placed her arm around Jane's shoulder. "Esther didn't mean it, Jane." She said.

"I don't know about that, Susan." Jane reprimanded. "You said she was nice, but she has just been mean and nasty since we got here." She looked down on the ground. Susan sighed. "According to Trumpkin, it was a spell that made Esther like that." She explained. "After we left Narnia, it caused her to be so upset that she turned into her mother, the White Witch. Her mother's spirit put a curse upon her."

"Really, Susan?" Jane said. "Is that so?" Susan nodded sadly. Peter and Dawn rushed to Jane. "Everything alright?" Peter asked.

Jane sighed huffily. "I don't know what I'm doing here!" She grouched. Esther huffed hearing as usal. "No one really needs you all here anyway." Her words drew other Narnians' attention. "Esther please...!" Daniel tried to stop her.

"Don't make it worse, Est." Lucy added. Esther pushed past them. She pointed a finger in Jane's direction. "I don't want to hear another word from you and as your queen you have to obey!" She shouted. "My father sent you here for some reason and at this point I don't even think he remembers me! You have no idea what has happen here! So just SHUT UP!" As she screamed the last part, ice flew out her fingers tips and nearly hit Jane. Esther fell to the ground in tears.

Everyone, except Jane, Peter, Dawn and Susan rushed to her aid. Esther cried harder. "D-don't touch me!" She sobbed. Jane stood on her ground. She was so angry of Esther's reaction and behaviour that she stomped away from the scene real furious. Dawn and Daniel went after their sister. "Jane, I'm so sorry my friends and I brought you here." Dawn said sadly. "I didn't know this was going to happen with Esther." Jane just shrugged.

"Please understand." Her sister tried to talk her down. "She's like this because of the curse her mother put upon her. We just have find a way to get Esther free from it. Then she will no longer be this mean."

"How can I trust her?" Jane asked.

"We just have to have faith in ourselves." Dawn said. "I'm sure Aslan, her father will help." Her sister nodded. Her siblings hugged her and accompanied back to where their friends and Narnians were waiting. They all began walking through the forest without even a word to one another. Esther was standing up, leaning on a rock. She gestured Daniel over and he came over. "Esther, what's wrong?" He asked.

Esther sighed. "Don't worry about it." She brushed it off. Daniel sighed. He took Esther's hand and helped her up on her feet. Esther bit her lip and got up. "I'm sorry...." She apologized. Daniel gave her a small smile. "It's alright." He said and gave her a little frown. "You shouldn't have yelled at my sister like that." He reprimanded.

Esther frowned. "It's not my fault..." She retorted. Daniel sighed and walked away to catch up with her siblings and his friends.

A few hours before it was dark, they reached to what the Narnians called a How. From the outside it looked like a hug rocky hill. Trees grew on uneven levels and parts of the hill was covered in twisty vines. It looked like an ancient site like no one has ever been there before. Caspian and the eight friends walked along the natural aisle followed by the other Narnian creatures. The aisle was lined with saluting centaurs. Lucy giggled at a shy young centaur who was holding his sword too low. And his father corrected it, which Dawn gave them a little nod and Daniel gave the centaur a little thumbs up. And they all entered inside of Aslan's how filled with Narnians sharpening and forging their weapons.

"It may not be what you are used to." Caspian spoke as he entered behind the Pevensie and the Jameson siblings including Esther. "But it is defensible." Peter and Dawn nodded and the children and Esther went around greeting other Narnians and or gazing up at the structures of the interior.

"Peter." Susan called her brother from the nearby corner of the tunnel. "You may want to see this."

Dawn, her siblings, Edmund and Caspian followed Peter and Esther to the tunnel line with torches. Inside, the walls were covered in paintings, almost like murals. As they looked closely, Dawn could tell it's her, the Pevensie friends and Esther. Their story. Esther gasped lightly. The paintings show from Lucy meeting Mr. Tumnus and Esther at the lamppost, their coronation, then to the drawings of the five friends horse riding through the woods at the last day they were there. Only Esther was absent in that drawing because she was sleeping back in the castle. Everything was there.

Jane and Daniel's mouth fell open. "Wow." Jane breathed in awe. "All you five really did went through all these adventurous moments back then." Dawn nodded. "We sure did." She said, trailing her fingers across a picture of her, Susan and Lucy singing and dancing with the fairies and dryads, with Peter being the audience member watching them perform. "Oh how I miss singing..." Dawn murmured. "If only my father wasn't like how he is..."

Susan turned to her with a confused look. "Your father?" She asked. "What about him?" Peter shot his sister a warning look. He beckoned his girlfriend over to another drawing. It was him training Dawn with swords. They smiled at the drawing. "It's us!" Dawn perked up. "You really taught me your moves, skills, strength.." Peter nodded with a smile. "I sure did.." He replied. They then turned to see Esther looking at a picture of her and Edmund riding their horses. She looked sadly at the picture of her pet white horse.

"Oh, I miss you a lot, Snowflake..." she murmured sadly. Daniel looked at Esther. "Who's Snowflake?" He asked.

"My horse." Esther said.

"What happened to it?"

"Nothing...." Esther said not wanting to go into it. Her eyes then moved toward Edmund riding on his brown horse. She looked at it bitterly and in anger, she punched the picture of her boyfriend. Edmund sighed as he saw what his girlfriend was doing. He felt worried for her as well as his siblings. "Est.." he sadly muttered. Esther scoffed at Edmund and walked away.

"Uh, Peter.." Caspian called out, looking a bit nervous. "Is that you and Dawn?" Peter held his torch up to another drawing. It was a picture of him and Dawn sitting on a bench swing decorated with vines and ivy outside of Cair Paravel. "Awww..!" Dawn squealed. "Peter, it's us...again!" Peter smiled softly. "This is when we learned how to French kiss." Dawn said, trying not to blush.

"French kiss?" Caspian asked, tilting his head. Dawn shook her head. "It's just a word, Caspian." She brushed it off.

Esther made a face. "Soooooo loyal." She said sarcastically. Peter and Dawn gave her a dirty look. Esther rolled her eyes. "Don't give me that look." She warned them rudely. The eight friends and Caspian went to another part of the wall and saw the drawing of Edmund and Esther swimming in the Eastern Sea looking like mer people. Esther sighed. That was the last time she had spent good time with Edmund. She excused herself to be alone, sat on a rock and cried. Daniel, Jane and Lucy followed Esther to comfort her. The trio rubbed her back and shoulders but Esther flinched when Jane touched her.

"I'm not going to hurt you, Est." Jane consoled Esther. "We now know why you are like this." Esther cried. "No you don't." She wept.

"Well, we do." Lucy told her. "Trumpkin told us what you went through when we're gone." Esther kicked some dirt. "But you don't understand..." She sobbed.

"He told us it's because of your mothers spell." Lucy tried to explained. "The White Witch's spell." Esther sighed. "Doesn't mean you understand." She got up and walked away. The three friends sighed. They didn't know what to do. So they walked back to the mural of their stories, where Peter, Dawn, Susan, Edmund, Caspian and the other Narnians were waiting. "Can we just go further?" Esther asked the others. Everyone agreed.

Caspian picked up a torch and lead the eight friends down the tunnels until they found themselves in the center of the inside of the How. At the end, he lighted a fire with a torch and it spread around the room, that had numerous engravings of Narnian creatures including a large one of Aslan looking over at the Stone Table. Not just any stone table. The same and actual Stone Table that he was killed on by the White Witch and resurrected from. Esther looked at the broken Stone Table sadly. "Oh father..." she murmured. "I miss him." Susan and Lucy stood in front of it, looking very solemnly. Lucy turned to her siblings and friends. "He must know what he's doing." She spoke to them. Esther nodded with agreement.

"It's up to us now." Peter added, and the nine friends spent the whole time staring at the big engraving of Aslan.
