Fixer Upper

Third Person P.O.V

(Y/N) looks up at the night sky, chuckling when she sees Olaf riding with his back against Sven's.

"Look, Sven! The sky's awake," Olaf breathes out with a smile, making Sven grunt with a grin.

(Y/N) shivers, Sven snorting in concern and walking closer to the girl to help warm her. She smiles in thanks, pressing against his fur as more of her hair turns white.

Behind them, Anna shivers as well.

"Are you cold?" Kristoff gently asks, watching as she rubs her arms.

"A little," she admits, (Y/N) looking back with an amused grin as Kristoff awkwardly goes to wrap an arm around her before stopping.

"Both of you, come here," he notices something, making (Y/N) follow after them as they approach a small gyser.

"Ooh!" Anna and (Y/N) sigh in relief, Kristoff watching the two in concern as they continue.

"So... Ah, about my friends. Well..." Kristoff chuckles nervously as Anna and (Y/N) look at each other. "I say 'friends'... They're more like family."

(Y/N) and Anna frown as he continues.

"Anyway. When I was a kid it was just me and Sven. Until they... You know. Kinda took us in," Kristoff finishes.

"They did?" Anna softly questions.

"Yeah."

"I'm... Sorry for calling them a figment of your lonely imagination," (Y/N) apologizes, making him chuckle.

"Eh, it's fine. I know you were just teasing," he grins, waving her off. "But, um. I don't wanna scare you two, but they can be a little inappropriate. And... Loud." Kristoff chuckles, "very loud. They're also... Stubborn at times, and a little overbearing. And heavy. I mean, really, really heavy. B-But you'll get it, they mean well--"

"Kristoff," Anna interrupts, placing a hand on his shoulder as she smiles. "They sound wonderful."

He watches Anna for a moment before a slow smile spreads on his own face.

"Yeah, Kris. Sounds like an awesome family," (Y/N) agrees with a grin.

"Okay, then..." He nervously trails off, (Y/N) and Anna watching as he walks a few steps forward and spins around. "Meet my family!"

Kristoff gestures to a bunch of small... Boulders. (Y/N) shakes her head, this place seeming to be familiar.

Olaf hops off of Sven as Sven eagerly begins to greet the rocks along with Kristoff.

"Hey guys!"

"They're..."

"Rocks," Anna finishes (Y/N)'s sentence, Olaf and the two watching him.

"You are a sight for sore eyes!" Kristoff chuckles to one rock.

"He's crazy!" Olaf poorly whispers as Kristoff continues.

"Rocko's lookin' sharp, as usual," Kristoff grins, pointing to a rock as Sven prances around. "Clay! Woah... I didn't even recognize you! You've lost so much weight.

The three continue to watch in disbelief, mouths agape.

"... I'll distract him while you two run," Olaf whispers again, bringing (Y/N) and Anna back. "Hi, Sven's family!! It's nice... To meet... You!" Olaf pats the rock in between words before whispering, "because I love you two, I insist you run."

He faces the rock again, "I understand you're love experts! Ooh!!" Before facing the two, "why aren't you running?!"

"Uh..." (Y/N) trails off. "Maybe... You were crazy after all..."

"Go!!" Olaf shrieks.

"Yeah... We're gonna go--" Anna agrees, wrapping an arm around (Y/N) as the two begin rushing away.

"No, guys! Anna, wait!" Kristoff yells, and suddenly the 'rocks' begin to quiver.

"Look out!" (Y/N) yells, shoving Anna and dodging boulders as they fly past them, rolling to Kristoff.

"Kristoff!" Anna yelps, also dodging the rocks as Olaf chases his with a giggle.

Kristoff grins and kneels down with a laugh as Sven snorts happily, the rocks popping open.

"Kristoff's home!!" His mother shrieks in excitement, making the man next to her block his ear as everyone begins to yell in excitement.

"Kristoff's here!"

"Kristoff's home!"

"Kristoff's home!" Olaf joins, making the trolls smile at him. "Wait... Kristoff?" The trolls nod with a grin.

"Ah, lemme look at you!" A female troll coos.

"Take off your clothes! I wash them!" His mother insists, making him yelp.

"No, no. I'm going to keep my clothes on," he nervously laughs. "Look, it's great to see you all. But... Where's grandpabbie?"

"He's napping," a troll kid explains before turning, "but look! I grew a mushroom!"

"I--"

"I earned my fire crystal!" A kid interrupts.

"I--"

"I passed a kidney stone," an older man informs.

"Kristoff, pick me up!" The kid finally gets his turn, jumping into Kristoff, who grunts as he holds him up.

"You're getting big! Good for you!" Kristoff chuckles as another leaps on his back.

(Y/N) walks away from Anna, leaning against a tree and looking around the familiar place before looking back at the trolls.

"Trolls..." (Y/N) remembers, gasping. "The trolls! Of course!" She laughs in amazement, making Anna look at her.

"Trolls?" Anna questions, a little loud.

The trolls all turn to look Anna, not noticing (Y/N).

They all blink twice before reacting.

"He's brought a girl!!" His mom yells in delight.

"A girl!"

Anna yelps as they swoop her up, carrying her to Kristoff and throwing her into his arms.

"Is that a real girl?

"She's like a little cupcake!"

"What's going on?" (Y/N) calls, the trolls noticing her presence.

"Another girl?"

"Nope, do not carry me," she warns, making them chuckle and nod as Kristoff's mom inspects Anna.

"What is happening?"

"I've learned to just roll with it," Kristoff chuckles as he lowers Anna.

"Lemme see," Anna yelps, "bright eyes. Working nose. Strong teeth!" The mom nods as Kristoff laughs. "Yes, yes! You'll do nicely for our Kristoff!"

"Woah, wait, wait--"

"No," Kristoff chuckles and shakes his head.

"They're not..." (Y/N) shakes her head with a laugh.

"Oh? So... You two?" His mom questions as I walk through the crowd.

"Oh, no. Nope, I see him as... More of a brother," (Y/N) trails off.

"Really?" Kristoff mumbles in surprise before grinning. "Anyway, that's not why I brought her or (Y/N) here."

"Right. We're not... I'm not..." Anna trails off. "And besides, (Y/N) has someone she already likes."

"N--No, besides," (Y/N) walks over and sits on a large rock, sighing. "It would... never work."

"What's the issue, dears? Why are you both holding back from romance?" His mother questions, wagging her brows.

"Is it the clumpy way they walk?"

"What?" (Y/N) sits up.

"Or the grumpy way he talks?" A man joins, making Kristoff exclaim in retaliation.

"Oh, no."

"Or the pear-shaped, square-shaped weirdness of his feet?" Another joins, gripping Kristoff's foot as he yelps.

"Hey!"

"And though we know he washes well," a man inspects his ear as Anna watches with a giggle. "He always ends up sort of smelly."

He smells his armpit, falling back from the odor as Anna nervously looks at (Y/N), who shrugs.

"But you'll never meet a fella who's as sensitive and sweet!" His mom and a man sing, pulling his cheeks to a smile as Kristoff nervously laughs.

"That's nice, but..."

Kristoff yelps as he was dragged onto a rolling boulder.

"So they're a bit of fixer-uppers, they've got a few flaws," the trolls all sing as (Y/N) watches in amusement.

"Like his peculiar brain, dear!"

Two children jump and grab into Sven's antlers as he snorts in joy.

"His thing with the reindeer. That's a little outside of nature's law!"

"This is not about me!" Kristoff yells as Olaf giggles and dances with some troll kids, (Y/N) still sitting on her rock and watching with a small laugh.

"So they're a bit of a fixer-upper! But this we're certain of," his mom grabs Kristoff's hand, shoving him to Anna. "You can fix your fixer-upper with a little bit of love."

"Can we please stop talking about this?! We've got a real, actual problem!" They ignore Kristoff.

"As much as I am enjoying this," (Y/N) interrupts with a giggle, "we need help."

"I'll say!" His mom appears in front of (Y/N), making her gasp. "What about your love life problems? Tell me dear. Is it the way he styles his hair?"

"What? No, no!" (Y/N) stammers, Kristoff glad that they're laying off him.

"Or that he's emotionally unbearing?" A man questions, making (Y/N) frantically shake her head.

"Trust me! He is perfect! But... he needs help," (Y/N) cuts them off, making them all pause. "He-- I don't think he likes me in that way."

Anna gives her an exasperated, pointed look, her eyebrow twitching.

"I see," Kristoff's mom nods, tapping her chin before looking at her son. "Hold that thought."

"So, tell me dear," she returns to Anna, "is it the way that he runs scared?"

Kristoff groans as his mother and the others pick up where they left off, shoving him as a man covers his ears.

"Or that he's socially impaired?"

"Or that he only likes to tinkle in the woods?" A child asks as Kristoff nervously laughs and sets him down.

"I did not need to know that," Anna awkwardly looks around.

"Are you holding back your fondness due to his unmanly blondness?"

Anna giggles as they ruffle Kristoff's hair, yanking him back to fall on top of the trolls shaped as a heart.

"Or the way he covers up that he's the honest good?" They all question before hurling him in the air. He lands next to Sven before getting an itch.

"He's a bit of a fixer-upper. He's got a couple of bugs--"

"No, I don't!"

"Their isolation is confirmation of their desperation for healing hugs!"

Anna 'awws' as they hug Kristoff, (Y/N)'s mind thinking of Elson as she sighs sadly, Kristoff's mom noticing the girl's change with a frown.

"So, they're a bit of a fixer-upper, but we know what to do!" (Y/N) watches as they all lasso Kristoff and Anna. "The way to fix up those fixer-uppers are to fix them up with you!"

Anna spins towards (Y/N) with the female trolls, Kristoff with the males.

"Stop it, stop it, stop it, enough!!" Kristoff bellows, making them pause. "She's engaged to someone else, okay?!"

They blink at him before conversing, huddling up.

"So she's a bit of a fixer-upper..."

"That's a minor thing."

"Her quote 'engagement' is a flex arrangement." One suggests, raising his brows.

"And by the way, I don't see no ring!" A child joins, waving his finger.

"So she's a bit of a fixer-upper, her brain's a bit betwixt!" Kristoff yelps as they overpower him with a cloak. He grunts and shoves them off, sighing.

"Get the fiancee out of the way and the whole thing will be fixed!"

Kristoff groans, covering his face.

...

"We're not saying you can change them," his mom addresses both girls, Anna sitting besides (Y/N). "Cause people don't really change. We're only saying that love's a force that's powerful and strange." She grips one hand in (Y/N)'s, the other in Anna's. "People make bad choices when they're mad or scared or stressed..."

(Y/N) nods sadly in agreement as the mom smiles, "Throw a little love their way!" Anna and her gasp at the sight of the beautiful flowers dancing around them.

"Throw a little love their way!" (Y/N) watches with a grin as they dress Anna in a flower cloak and a crown.

"And you'll bring out their best!

"True love brings out their best!"

Kristoff stares at Anna in awe when he sees her, Anna noticing him and giggling along with (Y/N) as the males plop a large crown on his head.

"Everyone's a bit of a fixer-upper!"

He looks down before shrugging with a laugh.

"That's what it's all about!"

"Father!"

"Sister!"

"Brother!"

"We need each other! To raise us up and round us out!" A man runs into a woman, both laughing. "Everyone's a bit of a fixer-upper but when push comes to shove--"

The trolls shove Anna and Kristoff together, his mom standing on a pile of trolls and helping (Y/N) up to stand near them.

"The only fixer-upper fixer that can fix a fixer-upper is..." Olaf quickly sings, dancing and twirling as children play with him.

"True, true!" The men dig a large hole, and they toss Anna and Kristoff inside. "True, true! Love, true love! Love love love love! True..."

(Y/N) watches in confusion as they surround the couple, his mom standing on a pile besides (Y/N).

"Is this a...?!"

"Do you Anna take Kristoff to be your trollfully wedded--" a priest starts.

"Wait, what?" Anna stammers.

"You're getting married."

"Love!"

A shock wave was sent through both girls, Anna collapsing against Kristoff and (Y/N) against the trolls stacked next to her as both girl's hair shimmer more white.

"Oh, dear!" His mom places a hand on the girl's forehead. "She's... Freezing!"

"She's as cold as ice... Anna is, too," Kristoff holds Anna close, his mom gently lowering (Y/N) to the ground next to Anna and Kristoff as she struggles to breath, her heart in pain.

The crowd all parts as someone arrives, Pabbie popping open and looking between the two girls.

"There is strange magic here," Pabbie lowly says, his eyes flicking around.

"Grandpabbie!" Kristoff breathes out as Pabbie rushes to (Y/N) and Anna.

"You... I remember you," (Y/N) manages out, shivering as she looks to Pabbie with wide eyes.

"Bring them here," he instructs as he holds (Y/N)'s hand as she sits up, grabbing Anna's other hand as Kristoff helps her up.

"My dears..." Pabbie grimaces, shaking his head with a grim expression. "Your lives are in danger. There is ice in your hearts... Put there by Elson." He releases their hands as Anna was cradled into Kristoff, (Y/N) struggling to stand as some trolls help her. "If not removed... To solid ice will you both freeze. Forever."

"W--What?" (Y/N) manages out, fully standing as her face falls.

"No... (Y/N)..." Anna trails off.

"B--But you can remove it from them. Right?" Kristoff stammers.

"I cannot." Pabbie shakes his head as Kristoff's eyes widen. "I'm sorry, Kristoff. If it were their heads it would be easier but... Only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart."

"True love..." (Y/N) mumbles, looking at Anna before sighing and nodding with a firm expression. "Anna. We have to get you to Hans."

"W-What?" Anna stammers lightly, her eyes widening as she looks to her. "B--But... But you-- what about you?!"

"I'll... Be fine," Pabbie looks at (Y/N) in sadness and fear, knowing she was planning on sacrificing herself so that Anna would live.

"True love's kiss will save you... and you say Hans is your true love," (Y/N) pants before stumbling backwards, making the trolls all yelp and gasp as her hair and Anna's turns more white. "So we have to get you to Hans. You understand?"

Kristoff looks at Anna before looking at (Y/N), understanding that she was also going to sacrifice herself for Anna to live.

"... We've got to get you back to Hans," Kristoff agrees, watching (Y/N) and Anna's hair becoming almost pure white.

"Hans..." Anna mumbles weakly, nodding.

"Sven, pull us out," Kristoff calls, Sven obeying and easily lifting the two as Kristoff holds Anna. He stables her next to Sven before quickly grabbing (Y/N) and helping her onto Sven behind him, scooping up Anna into his arms bridal-style for more room.

"O--Olaf," (Y/N) calls, "come on..."

"I'm coming!" Olaf jumps onto Sven, clinging onto (Y/N). "Let's go kiss Hans!"

He was quiet for a moment.

"... Who is this Hans?"
