For the first time in two weeks. Nia Swan and Paul Lahote could finally sleep peacefully...next to each other.

Nia woke up first. The brunette was relieved that horrid dream of hers was over but upon opening her eyes she knew that it actually happened last night. She was examining the room full of old records and sport equipment when arms snaked it's way to her waist and pulled her closer. She faced Paul who was still asleep. Nia examined his face further and traced his muscles with her fingers. That's when he smiled. Paul Lahote was awake "Good morning." his gruff voice made Nia melt further into the sheets.

"I just decided to go jogging in the morning. Don't worry dad." Nia said unto the phone. Paul was making breakfast when she went back into the room. "Thanks" she passed the phone to him before grabbing a plate and began to eat.

"About last night..." Paul  looked at the sixteen year old uncertain of what to say next.

"Please. I don't want to talk about it." She looked down "But the thing that happened two weeks ago."

"I'm sorry for coming out too strong."

"I'm sorry for judging you based on what I heard."

The two said in unison.

It was back to the awkward silence.

"You didn't come out too strong for me. It was nice of you for telling the truth." Nia broke it.

"And what you heard was true. I was the player. Now i've changed because I met you." Nia was about to protest when he shushed her by taking her hands in his "Nia, I meant what I said two weeks ago. Imprinting is an once in a lifetime thing. I'm not jeopardizing that. But I will still prove to you that I am more than what you think of me. An imprint is your protector, brother and lover. I was your protector last night and now a brother to prove my worth for you. Then hopefully soon I would be your lover."

Nia stood up from where she sat and grabbed his face smashing her lips to his. Paul had his hands rested on the counter the sides of Nia closing the space between them. They made out for what seemed like forever when Nia broke it off "Just for the record. I know you thought that I slept with Embry that night."

"You didn't?"

"I'm a virgin."

"I didn't expect that at all."

"What are you trying to say Mr. Lahote?" She quirked a brow.

He looked alarmed "I mean that you're amazing....uhmm I just thought. Well any guys is lucky to just even hang out with you."

Nia chuckled tucking in a strand of hear behind her ear. "Thanks."

Nia returned him mid afternoon. Her father was at work, but her sister was sitting on the stairs waiting for Nia to arrive. She stood up as soon as Nia closed the front door.

"Where have you been?"

"Out...Couldn't sleep last night."

Bella gave her a sympathetic look. She knew exactly what she was going through. The eldest Swan patted her sister's back. "I'm always here Nia."

"You weren't for these past few months." She retorted. Bella took a step back. Nia exhaled regretting what she had said "I'm sorry. I was just stressed from last night. Paul-"

"-you were with Paul?!" Bella almost screeched. Nia gave her a look. She was still in the process of mending things  with her sister, so she didn't say anything....yet."

"He's improving Bella. You may not believe it but it's true. He's proving himself."
