The couple just drove past the boundary line of Forks and into The Res where the beach wast. "Ten more minutes till we reach the beach." Paul voiced his thoughts. Nia, who was riding shotgun just replied with a plain "mhm". Her eyes were glued to her phone the entire time. She had been scrolling through the messaged of her and her sister that ended on a sour note. "Okay, now you have to tell me what's bothering you much these past few days."

"it's nothing." Nia sighed putting her phone back in her pocket. She didn't wanna ruin their date by burdening Paul with (technically not) her problems. All she wanted to do was enjoy a day at the beach with her boyfriend. She half heartedly smiled at him. Paul didn't buy it.

"You could always tell me Nia. We're in this together." He took her hand and gave it a peck "Remember?"

That's when she gave in. "Bella's pregnant." Thank gosh they had seatbelts on because Paul lost control and almost hit a tree. "I just found out yesterday. Bella is only three weeks pregnant yet the size of the baby bump looks like she's on her seventh month. Charlie says that she's going to give birth anytime soon. But she might not make it. The baby is practically sucking the life of Bella. Her bones keep on fracturing and she lost so much weight that you could only see her bones. The Cullens are split up about this, more than half of them want to kill it. And it breaks my heart because that's my sister and she's carrying a unique creature that she loves soo much that she doesn't care wether she'll live. What's worse is that we're drifting apart again because I haven't chosen wether i'm pro baby or no baby. But...now...explaining this to you, I think I already know where I stand. I'm doing whatever it takes for my sister to be okay." Paul didn't even look at Nia. He was starring blankly at the road. "Paul?"

"This changes everything." He replied as if he didn't hear his girlfriend venting for the last three minutes. "That baby will be uncontrollable. Humans could be in danger." Paul looked at Nia with so much intensity in his eyes that it could make anyone worry. "We need to get rid of the bloodsucker."

Nia could feel her blood boil. "That bloodsucker is my niece/nephew."

"You just said that you just picked a side. That you were going to do anything for Bella to be alive."

"Yes I picked my own side. I'm not forcing Bella to have an abortion and will do anything to anyone who will try to harm Bella and the baby-"

"-it's not a baby, it's just a fetus!" Nia had a flashback of Alice and Rosalie arguing about the same thing. "The pack needs to know about this or else people like you would be in grave danger." He started the engine of his car again and drove away opposite of where the beach is.

"If you do that then you're gonna be igniting a war between the vampires and werewolves. A war which I will gladly be participating on the other side of the battlefield."

Paul was hurt by Nia's threat. But it still remained nothing but an empty threat to the hothead. He was for sure certain that imprints would have a few quarrels this and there but they would always forgive and be with each other no matter what. It honestly broke his heart that the girl he loved was now glaring at him with daggers in her eyes.

A howl broke their staring contest. A huge brown wolf-Jacob had just ran in front of them. He was obviously in pain. The mindlink was now open as Paul began to shake uncontrollably. He could hear Jacob's big news about Bella. Paul didn't want to be the next one howling in despair when he finds the bloody dead body of Nia when the baby will be born. He had to keep her safe, wether she likes it or not.

His soft eyes turned into stone cold ones as he glared back. "Jacob already started the war." He ran out of the car. Paul disappeared into the woods in wolf form leaving Nia all alone in his car.
