9 years later

"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday sexy kitten. Happy birthday to you." Nia woke up to soft whispers. She opened her eyes to see Nathan shirtless with a tray full of breakfast. A smile crept on her face as he set down the tray and kissed her. "Good morning love." Nathan kissed her nose.

(it's so obvi that the place in the picture is New York but let's pretend that it's London shall we?😁)

"You're amazing you know that right?" She smiled extended. Gosh, she could never get tired of that Brittish accent. She took the bouquet of pink roses and closed her eyes smelling them. "Thank you Lord Gray"

"I told you to stop calling me that."

Nia gently flicked his nose with the bouquet. "It's my birthday Nathan. You maybe a real live Lord but I'm the queen.....for the next twenty-four hours anyways."

In the West of London, a hundred year old townhouse proudly stood in one of the streets of the district of South Kensington. That street was called Tabbs and tourists flock to get their pictures taken with the posh looking houses. But only one house stood out from the rest of the elegant white coloured houses with it's dark green vines growing on it and wrapping the townhouses like a gift.

Nia and her three friends called it home. There was Pinky, a dip-dyed blue blonde who has the heart and soul of a sweet young kindergarten teacher with a mind of a phenomenal genius. She came first in the bar exam and is currently working as animal rights lawyer. Let's not forget about her overly preppy outfits.

(Pinky will be played by Anna-Sophia Robb)

Her longtime boyfriend, Luca Salvatore, an Italian corporate lawyer by day and a rock band guitarist by night. Unlike Pinky, he doesn't do bright colors...

Then there's Charlie Cooper, pronounced as 'Sharlie'. Nia only thought people like him existed in the movies and in books, he's flamboyant, over the top and feisty. Charlie doesn't tolerate anyone who owns a pair of crocs and always comes with a sassy remark. Like Nia, he's from the United States, 'Beverly Hills Baby' he calls himself. His parents are the biggest developers in California and pushed him to go to law school...and be strait. Long story short, Charlie's unemployed, living off of his trust fund and spends his days getting lost at Harrod's.

(Charlie Cooper will be played by EJ Johnson)

And last but definitely not least, Lord Nathan Anthony Hepburn Gray II. To Nia, he was her boyfriend. Nathan was what every girl desired. He was charming, a lacrosse player, courteous and well mannered. Very English, the brunette thought. Which was not her type. But he treated her well and it was a nice feeling to feel grounded. His family belongs to the upper socioeconomic class of society, which explains why his mom hates everyone of his friends, especially Nia. He still lives with his family in Knightsbridge but spends most of his time in South Kensington with the gang.

The time now, 8:15 which meant everyone except Charlie was up and ready to kickstart the day. Nia entered the kitchen with a bright smile on her face. "Good morning!"

Luca, looked up from his bowl of cereal and laughed "It's the birthday girl." while Pinky, who was in the middle of making scrambled eggs ran over to the plate at the edge of the counter and gave it to Nia with a hug. "Happy twenty-sixth birthday darling!" Her Brittish accent chirped.

"Wow! Thank you so much for making me breakfast mhmmm" Nia pretended to be excited. "You really shouldn't have." She felt her stomach twist feeling full because of Nathan's breakfast in bed surprised. Pinky looked at her wide eyed waiting for Nia to take a bite while Luca was oblivious to what was going on eating his cereal and listening to his band's latest song.

"Sorry Pinky, I fed Nia my signature breakfast pastries." Nathan appeared from behind her taking the plate from Nia's hands and stuffing his mouth with the food. Pinky had her mouth open and and slapped his hands away from her creation. "You cow! We both agreed that you get kit hen time on Tuesdays and Thursdays."

"That was before I beat you in cooking and baking." He sat down with a proud smirk on his face.

Pinky grabbed a roller and was about to beat the life out of Nathan when Nia stepped in the middle and proclaimed "No food wars on my birthday! You both are the best cooks I know and look at the kitchen-" She motioned "-it's huge! There's enough space for two chefs." Pinky and Nathan's creations were the only ones that would rival in Emily's-No! That name is from the past. Moving forward remember? Nia scolded herself. "I'll bring this to work." She got the plate and went to the counter.

The plate full of delicious food didn't make the trip since it was snatched out of Nia's hands by a hungover Charlie. He pulled a chair and dug in. Everyone was about to protest when he held up his hand "Don't speak. I don't want the world spinning again." Huge black shades covered his eyes.

"Good morning to you too Cinderella." Luca retorted. Charlie replied with his middle finger waving up into the air. "Aren't you going to greet your best friend of seven years?"

"Not when I'm hangover but I might in her mega super wild birthday bash tonight planned by the one and only mwah." Charlie took of his shades to give us all the side eye eventually stopping at Nia, well actually, her outfit. "I'm glad I burned all your outdated boho clothing and took you long. Lot's of love." he blew air kisses. Nia twirled showing off her outfit. She grew out of her style when she left Forks and with her new style and chopped off her long locks. Then came a confident woman who graduated at the top of her class and became a fashion icon amongst her peers. Nia Swan was ready to take on the world one pantsuit at the time.

The birthday girl checked the watch on her wrist and almost spilled Nathan's coffee when she ran over and kissed him goodbye. "It's not to late to call in sick." He pouted.

Nia picked his lips one more time. "I'll see you tonight. Wear something sexy." She spanked his butt. That was when he spilled his coffee. "Goodbye guys!" She called out to her friends whom she labeled as family and rode a cab to her favourite coffee shop.

Peggy Porschen was a hotspot for both the locals and tourist because of it's aesthetically pleasing photogenic entrance and their signature Peggy Porschen's red velvet cupcakes. The cab dropped her off at the front of the pink bakery located in the corner lot. But before Nia entered, she crossed the street to buy her everyday cookie snack from Ben's Cookies, another famous and delicious treat that you must try whenever you're in London. Then she went into the pink bakery and ordered her usual; coffee and a red velvet cupcake. This was Nia's usual morning routine; wake up, go for a jog, Peggy Porchen then work. Nia felt accomplished stepping out and excited to officially start her day. It took a wrong turn-more like step- when the coffee spilled on the floor (thank gosh it was the floor) when she looked across the street and saw Embry, Quil and Leah looking at her with blank expressions of their faces. A red tour bus drive by, when she can see the other side of the street again, they were both gone. Nia blinked, did Charlie slip something in my water?

The enormous blue building stood proudly before the brunette. Above the entrance doors were written in big bold letter United Nations "Good morning Dave." Nia walked past by the security guard who gladly opened the glass door for her. "Good morning Ms. Swan. Happy birthday" He greeted with a smile. As soon as he saw her step into the elevator, he texted everybody on the 60th floor that the boss was coming up. Nia strolled through the halls with her head held high and her heels clicking on the marble floors, she came to a stop when she realized that her floor was abandoned. Nia peered into another room to double check. Is there a fire or something? She began to worry-"SURPRISE" all her coworkers jumped out of their hiding places. Nia had her hand on her chest in fright. "Happy birthday to you-" They all began to sing. Camilla and Tavin, her personal assistants carried a large birthday cake with her picture on it. Nia blushed remembering that picture being taken from picture day. There were two sentences written in cursive. 'Happy birthday to the world's greatest boss' and 'United Nations Lawyer for human rights'. From her peripheral vision, she saw her corner office. Nia would always get lost to the view of her large window which was practically her wall. From below, you could see the busy streets full of people walking and traffic happening while above you see dozens and dozens of architecturally beautiful skyscrapers, the most notable one was the Shard.
