Chapter 28

The Monday or the days following that weren't easy for Jimin—not even the slightest. He couldn't meet Jungkook's gaze and to his relief, the youngest had given him the much-needed space. Well, not like he had time anyway.

Jungkook's schedule had gotten tighter and he was mostly out of the office with Taehyung, both sharing work. Jimin accompanied him for a few important ones, for the rest Jungkook had said he will manage, allowing Jimin to handle his other responsibilities in the office.

While Jimin was thankful for space, thankful that it had given enough time to compose himself, he also couldn't help the way he felt. He wanted to talk to Jungkook and clear the air. But he didn't know how to do that. Well, he didn't have an explanation for his actions. He didn't have answers to questions the youngest might have.

Jimin realized the present situation was unfair to him considering he didn't remember any of it. As Katy said, he could only hope to move forward and work to earn Jungkook's forgiveness and possibly make himself worthy for his love—if that was even possible. Everything about the situation screamed disaster. But he told himself he deserved whatever Jungkook would do to him. He'd accept any pain the youngest would inflict. He thought he deserved that for cheating.

He knew he had a choice to put the past behind him and look forward to a life without any of this drama. He had an option to walk away. It should have been easier. Jimin had enough time to think through and knew that Jungkook had grown in his mind during the short time they spend together. Their time in Japan had cemented his innate desire. Unknown to him, he had taken a liking to the youngest and the kiss on the rooftop was a wakeup call. It proved that his actions to Jungkook weren't just because he cared for him as a boss.

However, realizing it was one thing and acting on it was different. No matter what Katy or Jin said, he couldn't bring himself to forgive him. He still couldn't believe that he would do something like that. What happened to his morals? Was the old Jimin an asshole? How did Jungkook even fall in love with that one?

Every question in his mind was answered with another question. When he sensed the mounting headache, he shoved the thought aside and focused on the work in hand. His phone vibrated with a message.

Unknown number: Hey

Jimin frowned. Who was it?

Unknown number: I missed you so much.

He stared at the number. Did he know them? Maybe wrong number.

Unknown number: Can we meet for dinner? I have a lot to talk with you.

Jimin: Who's this?

Unknown number: Oh, sorry. It's me. Eunji.

Eun— How the fuck did she get his number?

Jimin: I don't remember sharing my number with you.

Unknown number: I have my ways. Jimin, I really need to talk to you.

Jimin: There's nothing to talk about.

What does that woman want now? Disgust stirred in the pit of his stomach. He already had enough problems. He could do much better without a reminder hanging over his head like a sword. What did the old Jimin see in her anyway? That guy was an asshole with the worst taste, he decided. Who in their sane mind would want to look at another man or woman when they had a whole package in their palm of the hand called Jungkook? Without another thought, he blocked her number and threw the phone across his table.

The day couldn't end sooner. Staying home this weekend while sulking sounded like a better plan. Two more hours before he can call it a day. He rubbed his temples, slightly jumping when his desk phone rang.

He picked it up already knowing who it was. His heart flipped once. "Hello."

"Come to my office," Jungkook said in a clipped tone and dropped the call without another word.

He took deep breaths as he pulled the professional mask on. Head held high and shoulders back, he walked out of his office and to Jungkook's office. Byeol caught his eye and waved with a smile, which he returned.

"Jimin-ssi, there is something I need your help with," Jungkook said as soon as Jimin stepped into his office. His gaze was still glued to the computer screen as he pushed the thick black folder to Jimin.

The youngest took his breath away as usual. His hair was swept away to the side, revealing his forehead. The top three buttons of his black button down shirt was open, his tie discarded carelessly on the table same like his grey suit jacket. The sleeves were pushed back to his elbows. Crap. This should be made illegal.

"It has everything you need to know." He peeled his gaze off the screen and met Jimin's eyes. "It's confidential, something only me and Taehyung know about, now it includes you." He leaned in his chair, cocking his head to the side that gave Jimin a clear view of the long column of his neck and sharp collarbone. "This proposal is very important to me and I trust you to do a good job at this."

Jimin nodded curtly. "Sure. I'll start on this immediately."

"It took me almost a year to get this appointment, hyung. You have a week to add your touches and submit the final proposal."

Jimin's body shuddered when he addressed him as hyung. "Sure." He was about to pivot on heels when Jungkook stopped him.

"Wait..." He shifted in his seat, chewing at his lower lip. "There, um... there's something I should tell you."

Jimin tensed. His heart hammered and eyes downcast as he waited.

Jungkook stood from his seat. "This file has nothing to do with work." He walked around the table.

Jimin stood rooted to his spot, unwilling to look up and meet his gaze. His grip on the black folder tightened and he hoped Jungkook didn't notice the slight tremble of his hand. Jungkook stopped in front of him, his cologne enveloping him and making his knees go weak just like that. Damn. At that moment, Jimin couldn't comprehend the power this man had over him. The memory of the kiss came crashing on him.

"You'll have to work on this outside the office working hours," Jungkook said, his hands deep inside his dress pants, the action causing his chest muscles to flex.

Jimin gulped noticing the subtle shift in his peripheral vision as he quickly nodded, not trusting his words.

"You okay, hyung?"

Jimin's head whipped up to meet the gaze of the youngest and he blinked. "Y-yeah." He cleared his throat. "I...um..." he waved the file helplessly trying to cover the flush of his face. "I'll do my best."

"I know." Jungkook inched closer. "My father is keeping me busy and I'm not on the right mindset to finish this one. As much as I'd like to push everything aside and work on this, it's something I had put it off for a week already and I'm running out of time."

Jimin sucked in a breath when Jungkook's hand rose to caress his cheek.

"You're gorgeous, hyung," Jungkook murmured. "Have I ever told you that?" His thumb traced the corner of his lip and Jimin gasped, too surprised at his reaction to the soft touch. "I miss your lips already." And he was leaning over.

Jimin couldn't move, the memory of the night flooded his mind. Jungkook's fresh, homey scent overpowered his senses and his eyes fluttered close, breathlessly anticipating the touch of his lips. When it came, it once again knocked the air out of his lungs.

The folder slipped away from his hands as his hands flew to grab at something. His one hand settled on Jungkook's chest while the other held on to his biceps. Jungkook's warm lips moved over his, sucking and gently nipping at Jimin's lips. The youngest threaded his left hand through Jimin's hair, tugging at it to tip his head. His other hand dug into Jimin's hips, pulling him flush against his body.

Jimin let out a soft moan, finding the action highly arousing. The kiss was so gentle, yet consuming. Their lips moved against each other, teasing with a hint of tongue. Jimin breathed, inhaling a lung full of Jungkook's addictive scent. He unconsciously bit at Jungkook's lower lip and took the lead when the youngest opened his mouth for them.

Jungkook moaned softly when Jimin sucked his tongue, a shudder raking his body. The youngest tasted like mint and something sweet. Their breathing grew harder and Jimin sensed Jungkook pushing him on the desk, his large hands running along the curve of Jimin's ass.

Jimin involuntarily rolled his hips, the action sending jolts of pleasure to every nerve of his body. Jungkook groaned pressing himself more into the eldest. He tilted his head and angled Jimin's head, deepening the kiss and dominating his mouth. Jimin let him, feeling the arousal stirring at the pit of his stomach.

A dull ringing reached his ears as his hands flew upward to loop around Jungkook's neck. He tugged at Jungkook's hair, earning a loud moan from the youngest. The ringing continued and Jimin whined when Jungkook lifted his head. Both breathing harder. He stared at Jungkook's swollen lips glistening red and inviting. Damn. He looked hotter. Jimin was about to pull him down for another kiss when the phone blared again.

Jungkook scrunched his nose as he rested his forehead against Jimin. Jimin's head reeled, still riding high on the heady sensation that the kiss instilled. Their chests heaved before Jungkook released him with a soft groan. "They couldn't have waited a little longer," he mumbled under his breath only to curse when he saw the name flashing on his phone screen. "Mr. Wang," he breathed throwing an apologetic smile at Jimin.

Jimin took that as his cue to leave. He gathered the folder and its contents, rushing out as steady as possible with his head held low. Once outside, he threw a quick glance at Byeol who had her nose buried in her computer screen. Jimin hurried to his office, closing the door behind him and all but ran to the toilet.

Disheveled hair, swollen lips, flushed face, and crinkled shirt—check. His heart hammered inside his chest and semi-hardened arousal strained inside his pants. Jimin dropped the folder on the counter away from the sink and splashed his face with cold water. He didn't know that just one kiss could create an explosion of emotions within him.

Tiny tremors still raked his body and he almost whimpered at the lack of Jungkook's touch. Shit. If that was how he kissed...he could only imagine what other things he could do to him. His body shuddered again. He cupped more water in his hands, splashing it on his face repeatedly. It wasn't just the kiss, it was Jungkook and everything about him. The way he had held him, the way he kissed him. He sensed the craving, the need, and the fiery need that ignited his veins. It conveyed more than what words would have.

Jimin swallowed. If he thought the rooftop kiss was earth-shattering...he couldn't even name this one. Consuming? Yes, it consumed his entire being. Was this how it was between them?

If I had my way, I'll fuck you a hundred ways into tomorrow so you'll know who you belong to.

His cock stirred at the reminder. Shit. He was far too deep than he thought. The sexual tension was something he never experienced recently. He got off in the shower sometimes thinking of a nameless/faceless lover. But even that orgasm was nothing compared to the sensations this simple kiss created.

Simple? Fuck it was anything but simple.

He gripped the counter for more balance. It's office. Hold it together. He tried to remind himself. Hell, was it that simple anymore?

I hate Eunji *huff*

I know the feeling is mutual.

Until we meet again...💜💜💜
