Got Caught

"Sorry you get to have detention today again," Marcus said, ruffling Cole's hair as they escorted him to his detention class.

He slapped his hand away and shot him a glare, "Stop messing with my hair, you twerp. I get detention a couple times, it's no biggie."

"How you gonna get home?" Mattew said, "We normally get detention together or if someone had, it was for a short time we could wait for."

"One hour's a no-no man." Marcus added.

"It's fine. I can walk. I actually want to take sometime to think about some things."

"You sure Cole?" Mattew asked after a short pause.

"Yup. Besides," they stopped in front of the class, "I am giving you guys like an hour or so to be as twincest as possible. Make the most of it."

They both made identical gaging face before Marcus pushed him into the class and Mattew to slam the door on his face. He grinned. Guess they really wanted him in detention.

He turned to face the class only to be greeted with Dustin's cocky smile and Cloud's blank stare. Cole mentally groaned as he sat very far away from them at the other end of the class. More students came in and in minutes the class was filled.

Mr. Ford called for attendance and when everyone was marked, he dropped the list then smirked at every one of them. "Well, I'm not paid extra to sit here and watch rebellious teenagers, am I? Go ahead and do what you want, just don't leave the class and be too noisy."

He scanned the students then said when his eyes landed on Cloud, "Except you Cloud. Take your seat to the back of the class and face it."

This happened every time Cloud had detention with Mr. Ford. Why he does it? Rumors said something about how he dated his daughter who schooled in a different school far from theirs.

Cloud grunted but did what he said, the whole time glaring at him and then for a split second his eyes met Cole's and they immediately soften. Cole quickly looked away, unable to hide the blush that was creeping up his skin. Why did he look at me like that?

For the rest of detention, Cole found himself glancing back at Cloud every now and then and when he was caught he would quickly look away and pretend he was doing something useful. He didn't even know when Mr. Ford let them go until Cloud stood and left the class.

Walking down the lonely corridor, he made his way out the school doors to see Cloud talking to Dustin who was in his car.

He stared at his back, watching every movement he made. The way he was leaned against the car, his hair tousled lightly by the wind and his fingers drummed a beat on the top of the car. Everything about him was mesmerizing.

Dustin caught Cole staring then playfully nudged Cloud to turn but by then Cole was already walking away not even daring to look back.

He had his ear piece in his ear and was listening to Counterfeit by Chris brown, Wiz Khalifa and Rihanna as he walked down the street. He'd have to stop by his house to get more shoes and clothes before he gets to the twin's home.

Just the thought of his house had him mentally groaning. Even the sweet sound of Rihanna wasn't even calming him down.

Cole adjusted his bag strap then searched through his phone for something else as some familiar convertible slowed down beside him. The car followed him until he entered another street then stopped when he did.

Irritated, Cole turned to the driver to question him but all that came out was, "Cloud?"

"Hey. Come on, get in." He opened the car for him and he quickly entered. The walk to his house was far anyway.

"Thanks," he said as he belted up.

"Don't worry about it." He smiled then pulled into the road. "Where are we heading?"

"I'm gonna make two stops. So I'm just gonna direct you."

"Fine."

Then the ride fell silent.

Cole didn't really feel like talking or saying more, just wanted to get home and sleep the day away. He also knew if he started talking, Cloud would eventually ask the obvious question again and the car was too small to hide in. So he decided to remained silent until they got to his home.

Getting there after the very not too awkward ride, Cole took in a deep breath then said to Cloud after reassuring himself that he was gonna be fine when he entered, "I'll be right back. I just need to pick up a few things."

"I'll be here," he replied then watched him leave the car and walk up the stairs to his house.

Cole twisted the knob, thanked God when it opened then entered the house quietly. His room was up the stairs and he prayed his dad was in his room because his car was parked outside.

Swallowing, he moved fluidly towards the stairs pausing a little when he saw his dad in the living room watching something on the TV. He took the first step and it creaked under him making him flinch when he heard his dad shifting in his seat. Taking the second one, he held his bag tightly to him as he quickly rushed up as the stairs as it creaked.

He exhaled then ran to his room to pack a few more clothes. Opening his wardrobe, he got down a few shirts, boxers and shoes. He stuffed them all in his bag then turned to look round the room if he left anything useful.

The first thing that caught his eyes was his dusty bed. He could remember the last time he had slept on the bed was the day his dad had insulted him and his younger brother just laughed.

Alone. That was how he felt. Completely alone.

Marcus and Mattew were his friends because they knew nothing of who he was. What if he told them and they shunned him like this? He had nowhere else to live. If they kicked him out, he'll have to come here and here was a nightmare that had haunted him since he told them he wasn't into chicks.

His eyes trailed to the mirror where he hung his pictures with Marc and Matt. Cole approached it cautiously as if something would come out of somewhere and hurt him.

When he got in front of it and no poisonous arrow came out, he released a sigh then looked at the pictures.

There was one when they had recently met, Mattew was smaller then but Marcus had always been the same. They had had a picnic and the picture had been taken by a passerby. Marcus was playing a game on his Ps while he and Mattew were laughing about something Marcus had said.

There was another where he and Marcus had been in the mood to do something vulgar. Mattew had taken them from an angle that made it seem like they were kissing some girl's butt. They had done other ones and would have done more if one of the girls didn't get piss and chase them.

Thinking back then, Cole had been the perfect straight friend. He did anything they did. He dated girls, flirted with them, kissed them and a few had even sucked him off. What wasn't straight about all of that? The only sexual thing he had never done with a girl was sex. Sex was intimate and should be done with the right person.

Sappy? I know.

But now, everything seemed to be crashing down on him. He had a crush that didn't appear to be judging him and there might even be a chance for them since he was Bi.

There was Mattew who badly wanted to figure him out. And graduation. After that, he knew that was the end. Matt and Marc will go to their university and then where would Cole be? He won't be able to be with them forever, would he?

Cole picked up his bag then turned to leave but his eyes went back to the mirror, this time to check himself. He then noticed a picture that had fallen down making him go back to pick it up only to see that familiar face he had met at the beach.

Someone who was just like him.

He flipped to the back and noticed Henry had written something there

It gets better -Henry

Cole smiled, putting the picture in his bag then turned back to the door only to have it open by his brother, Tames.

Unlike Cole, Tames had black hair like his dad but he mostly resembled his mum. Same pointed nose, dark green eyes, and thick lips. Tames looked at him like he hadn't seen his brother since forever which was weird because they went to the same school.

"Cole? What are you doing here?"

"I err came to collect a few things. I should better go," he said, trying to walk pass his brother but he blocked his path. "Tames please."

"Are you kidding me? You leave for weeks and I don't get to see you. Now that we are talking, you want to ditch? No way." He blocked him again.

Cole glared at him. "We go to the same school, Tames. If you really miss me, you would've come visit." Then he walked pass him, pushing him out of the way in the process.

"Hey." Tames followed him. "That's not my fault, Cole. Dad has a tight leash on me, telling me I can't go out unless he knows everything about that person. I try to find you in school but you are never in the same place twice. I even drop by your table sometimes and I don't see you."

He stopped in his pace. Since when did he start to care? He was just like his dad. They both hated him and called him names. "If I turn around and you tell me psyche, I will kill you."

Tames sighed in relief then said, "You should be expecting that from me if I were still the same person a year ago."

Cole looked at him, "You look the same."

"I meant character, thick head." He rolled his eyes. "I'm sorry about all the things that I did to you then."

"You can't just say sorry and expect all the things you did to just go. I don't love you like that."

"Come on, we are brothers." He smiled, tapping his shoulder carelessly.

Cole watched him suspiciously. "That wasn't what you told me a few months ago."

His smile fell at that and he grunted. "Okay, tell me what I should do to make it up to you?"

Cole smirked. "Hmm...I'll call you." Then he turned to go down stair but paused when he saw the other family member.

"So you were the one who came in earlier huh?" His dad watched him with his scrutinizing gaze.

"Dad?" His voice came out weak as his heart hammered in his chest.

"Cole." He greeted back then crossed his arms, "So, I've heard you have been doing well in class."

"Just being a hardworking student," he said shyly as he slowly came down the stairs.

"Good. Make your grades worth it or you are not going to college." He gave him one last narrow gaze then brushed pass him up the stairs.

Cole got to the last steps then watched his dad's disappearing figure. Was it him or were they unbelievably nice today? Would his mum acknowledge him too? He would have loved to stay and see but he had someone waiting for him outside.

He quickly rushed outside, grinning happily because his family could be nice enough to send him to college. Cloud was leaned against his car, fondling with his phone but looked up when Cole stopped in front of him.

He smiled. "You took long."

"My dad, uh, and my brother stopped to talk to me." He looked back to the house just to be sure it was his then looked back at the piece of hotness in front of him. "We should start going to Matty's place or I might miss dinner."

"Why not eat here?" he asked as Cole went around to enter the car.

"Family issues." He fastened up his seat belt and stared ahead.

He heard the door open and turned to see Cloud entering the car. Cloud didn't say anything until they were back on the road.

"So, you aren't close to your family?"

"No." he replied briefly.

"Does it have anything to do with your sexuality?"

Cole shifted in his seat. He'd have to admit it now or later right? "Kinda."

Cloud glanced at him. "So you are really gay?"

"Do I look gay?"

"No."

"There's your answer." Then he looked away from him.

"Gay doesn't really show on someone, Cole."

Hmm...say my name again. He licked his lips then replied, "Well, do I act gay?"

He paused for a while then answered, "Sometimes."

Cole's jaw dropped. I act gay? He couldn't believe it. And he thought he perfected the straight act. Cloud laughed lightly making Cole blush and stare deeply at the window. "No Cole. You look and act everything straight." He added, making Cole bite his lip. "I am just trying to say sometimes you act up."

Cole nodded, glad that misunderstanding was taken care of. "Honestly, I wish I never came out to my parents. I act so straight that I forget I'm gay sometimes."

"So you are gay."

"No need hiding it with you. Wait, we are friends right?" Cole asked suddenly scared that he might be some anti-homo person. But he was bisexual right?

"Friends?" Cloud looked at him with a questioning gaze.

"We don't have to be as close as you are with Dustin. Just no dirty pranks and toilet dunking."

He smirked, "Sure."

"Sure no dirty pranks and toilet dunking or sure we are friends? But they are the same thing right?"

"Yes Cole. We are pals."

Eep...he said my name again and we are pals. He was so gonna have a nose bleed when he thought of this later. "Does this apply for the twins too?"

"Of course." He agreed with a smile and Cole almost busted with the amount of happiness in him.

Cole stayed quiet to do a mental happy dance. Maybe from friends, they could be something more. "So, you are bisexual?"

"I must have spilled when I was drunk huh?"

"You don't seem to be trying to hide it."

"Why should I? No one cared to ask me if I were gay or straight."

"You dated girls. Who would have thought?"

"You dated girls. A lot. Who would have thought you were too?"

Cole nodded. "Point taken."

Cloud pulled up in the Lumberg's drive way and Cole got down then went over to Cloud's window. "Thanks for the ride, Cloud."

"Anything for a friend." He smiled.

"See you tomorrow." Cole waved then turned to leave.

"Do you want to hang out on Saturday?"

Cole froze. Did he just say...? He turned back to him. "Yes!"

"Great. Give me your number, I'll call."

Cole quickly did that then grinned, "You actually took my number?"

He laughed. "So, I'll call you maybe later?"

He nodded vigorously, not trusting his mouth at all.

"Bye Cole."

"Cloud." He waved as Cloud drove off.

Is it me, or did my day just get better?
