Damian POV

I had gone every which way I could think of backstage in an attempt to find Neve but I had come up with nothing, there way no sign of her. I didn't even know what I was going to do or say when I found I just knew I wanted to see her.

Finally giving up I head outside for some air and decide to take a walk along the side of the lake, as I walk I kick the gravel with my sneakers and shake my head, this had all gone too far, Rhea had gone too far, she had blurred the lines between work and reality and no good could come of it.

"I didn't expect to see you out here" a familiar voice says softly and I feel my heart begin to race, I turn to find her sat on a bench that is hidden out of view of the arena behind a tall bush

"I was actually looking for you" I say walking towards her "mind if sit down?"

"Not at all rest your bones Mr Priest" she smiles moving over for me "why were you looking for me"

"well after that little stunt you pulled I think you should take me out for a drink" I smirk

"Oh is that so? Well I disagree" she chuckles and my heart flips at the sound "like I said we are even"

"then we will have to agree to disagree and revisit this some other time" I say "so why are you hiding out here?"

I watch as her shoulders rise and fall in a sigh and then she shakes her head "I was just thinking about how crazy this all is, you know we should be avoiding each other, being enemies and yet here we are enjoying each others company and I have no desire to walk away" she says "liking some one used to be so simple, now......now it's down to how their friends think about you" she sighs

"you know, just because their friends think that way doesn't mean they do" I say "in fact it might surprise you to learn that they think the same way you do"

"Really?" she asks looking up and deep into my eyes

"really" I reply not really sure what I should do now

Neve POV

For a moment we just look at each other and I feel this magnetic pull between us, unsure if he feels the same thing I shake my head and turn my gaze back to the lake and I hear him let out a soft sigh beside me. 

"Anyway there are other things I need to be focusing on right now" I say changing the subject "tonight is my debut"

"Cool, I'm sure you'll do great" he smiles "Are you nervous?"

"Yeah very nervous" I say " It's taken so long to get here I just don't want to screw it up and let myself down"

"how long are we talking?" he asks "months, years?"

"six years, I started out in a basic training camps and then eventually got myself a spot at the Monster Factory in 2020 and things just seem to have flown from there" I say "I wanted to do this my way, on my own, without anyone's help and I've done exactly that"

"No kidding, Monster Factory is my old stomping ground" he says "I left just before you started there"

"Wait a second" I say studying his face "oh my god........you're Punishment Martinez of the Real Life Heelz.........I thought you looked familiar"

"hahaha yeah that's me" he laughs "but don't be saying it to loud, I'm kinda keeping up this pretence that me and Punishment are two separate people and I don't know him"

"well your secret is safe with me" I smile and then look down at my hands "this is nice, I wish it could be this easy all the time but we aren't always going to be able to do this are we?" I sigh

"we could find a way" he says and I turn to look at him "I'm sure we could work something out, we can find places to meet and we could hang out just like we are doing"

"you really think so?" I ask and he nods "alright give me your phone and I will put my number in it and then call myself so I yours" I say and he hands me his phone

As I add my number to his contacts I am very aware that he has moved closer to me and is watching over my shoulder. Once I am done I turn to give him his phone back only to find he is a lot close than I thought.

We look at each other our faces millimetres apart and Damian swallows nervously, I feel his warm breath fan over my face and my hear begins to race, before I can think he closes the gap and his lips find mine. At first I'm taken aback but them slowly I melt into the kiss but all to soon it ends.

"I'm so sorry.......I shouldn't have done that" he says awkwardly "I uh........I'll text you at the next places and we can make arrangements to meet up" he says standing "catch you later Neve"

"Damian wait....." I call out but within seconds he has gone and he has once again left me in a state of complete confusion
