Neve POV

I couldn't understand why I was so nervous as we waited for Damian to arrive. It wasn't like I was meeting him for the first time or it was some kind of first date. This was D, my D, the man I loved yet I was nervous as hell.

Shifting nervously in my chair I do my best to straighten out my clothes and quickly run my fingers through my hair just as the doorbell rings.

My mom opens the door and it's almost like it's happening in slow motion. Suddenly there he is in front of me, a beautiful smile adorns his face as he stops in front of me.

"Hey.....may I?" He asks holding his arms out to me and I nod holding my own put towards him.

As he wraps his arms lightly around me I hear and feel him let out a gentle sigh against my neck.

"Man this feels good" he chuckles softly

"Yeah it does, I just wish I could hug you properly" I sigh

"You will in time" he says moving back from me and crouching down "I know you and I have faith you will get better, I know you won't let it beat you"

I smile at him before quickly remembering we aren't alone.

"D this is my mom Joleen, mom this is Damian" I say

"It's nice to meet you" Damian says standing and offering her his hand "sorry I was just so happy to see her I didn't mean to be rude"

"It's nice to meet you too" she smiles "I've heard alot about you and don't apologise I understand"

"All good I hope" he chuckles and she nods

"Well I'm going to head out and run some errands while I have the chance" my mom says "Damian would you mind helping me get these boxes to the car"

Damian quickly picks up the boxes and follows her out to the car. In mere seconds his back with me and wheeling me into the living room.

"So what would you like to do? Do you want to talk? Or go somewhere?" He asks

"Oh I haven't left the house since I got home" I say awkwardly "I just don't seem to want to go outside"

"Baby you have nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about" he says taking my hand "don't hide yourself away, it won't be like this forever"

"I know, I know it's just not been easy" I say "until now I felt like I had no reason to try"

"We can do this together if you'll let me help" he says

"I'd like that" I smile "you can start now....I uh need the bathroom"

Without saying a word he scoops me up in his arms and starts to carry me up the stairs. I rest my head against his shoulder enjoying his warmth and his scent.

When we reach the bathroom he gently lowers me so my feet are on the floor and the toilet is behind me.

"Alight I have hold of your hips, you think you can do the rest?" He asks and I nod.

Slowly I lower my jeans and underwear and then he helps me to sit down.

"I'll wait outside, shout if you need me" he says kissing my forehead.

As I stair at the door I couldn't help but think about how easy it was to ask him for help and how much better it felt him helping me instead of my mom. I felt nothing but safe and I knew he was going to take good care of me.......I just have to be willing to let him.

"Alright I'm done" I call out and he re enters the room.

He helps me to stand and once I'm done  he scoops me back up in his arms.

"Do you need anything else?" He asks "is there anything else I can do for you"?

"Not right now, but if your still here later it's shower night" I say "my mom struggles to help me with that"

"I'll be here" he smiles kissing my forehead "I need to learn and I want to take care of you. I think your mom has earned a break"

"Yeah she has" I say "like you said this won't be forever"

"Oh I know it won't" he says placing me back in my chair as he moves back I see his hands slide down the front of my thighs and I look at him "anything?" He asks and I shake my head

"Not yet" I sigh "believe me I wanted to feel that more than you know"

"How far does the numbness go?" He asks

"What.......oh!" I chuckle as I see the smirk on his face "you know I don't know - that's not exactly something my mom can assist with"

"Well maybe tonight I could" he says nervously "only if you want me to that is, I'm not going to do anything you don't want me to"

"I think I'd like to take you up on that offer" I smile "maybe I could have that shower before my mom comes back"
