Damian POV

As I watch Rhea pace around the club house I knew she was cooking up some sort of plan that would involve the new girl and I had to admit I wasn't entirely comfortable with it.

I saw no reason to drag her into this or even tar her with the same brush as Cody, as far as I was concerned she was innocent in all this and had done nothing wrong.

"The way I see it we now have something we can hold over him" Rhea says "and I bet he'd be willing to do whatever we want to keep his little wifey finding out about his his bit of fluff"

"Hey, there is no need to bring his personal life into this.........and I don't think.........." I stop as a Rhea shoots me a look "whatever" I mutter as I sit back down on the couch and cross my arms.

"You saw them just like I did" she says "they are clearly more than friends, maybe if we can dig up some dirt on her aswell......."

"That's it, count me out I want no part of this" I say standing up and walking towards the door but Rhea grabs my wrist

"Don't go soft on me Priest, remember whose side you are on" she says.

I pull my wrist from her grip and walk out of the club house shaking my head, there was no way I was doing anything to that girl, not now, not ever.

Neve POV

After my meeting with Hunter I had made a beeline for the canteen, I was hungry and I wanted to study my itinerary and the map of backstage that he had given me.

Grabbing myself a coffee and a muffin I'm about to pay when a lud noise gets my attention. I turn to see Damian storm into the canteen, kick a chair out of his way and then slam his body down onto the other chair muttering under his breath.

I quickly grab a second cup of coffee, pay and head over to him cautiously.

"Hey.........sorry I don't mean to bother you I just wanted to give you this" I say holding out the cup of coffee "I owe you a coffee but I wasn't sure how you take it"

"Thanks" he says taking the cup and his expression softens "though you didn't need to I only spilt a little bit"

"It's the least I can do.......I'm Neve by the way" I say offering him my hand

"Damian" he smiles shaking my hand "it's nice to meet you Neve"

For some reason hearing him say my name sends a delicious shiver down my spine and I can't find a single reason why I should be avoiding this man. Something tells me he's not the person Cody thinks he is.

"It's nice to meet you too Damian and thank you for being so nice earlier" I say "fair warning I'm prone to clumsiness except when I'm in the ring"

"Noted, I'll make sure to watch out for you when I'm walking around" he says "you should go I'm sure Cody would be none too pleased about you talking to me"

"He did tell me to approach you with caution, but so far I see nothing to be scared of" I smile nervously

"You have no reason to be scared of me Neve" he says sadly "Rhea on the other hand, she's planning on using you relationship with Cody to blackmail him, but you didn't hear that from me"

"I don't understand, how can she use our friendship to blackmail him?" I ask

"Wait........you two aren't...........oh man" he says running his hands over his face "when you were in Cody's arms earlier it looked kinda cosy so we thought you were........"

"Having an affair" she laughs "no way, I love him like a big brother  but I definitely do not want him in my life like that. Besides he is devoted to his wife and daughter he would never......" I pause noticing the smile on Damian's face "what?" I ask

"Oh nothing" he smiles "You're cute when you get defensive"

"Wait a second.......you can't accuse me of having an affair with a married man and then turn around and tell me I'm cute and another thing........" I say and he chuckles distracting me with that knee weakening smile of his "you have a beautiful smile" I say without thinking.

"Hey now you can't tell me off and then say I have a beautiful smile" he smirks and my mouth opens but nothing comes out "You're even cuter when you're flustered, thanks for the coffee" he says standing up and walking away.

"What the hell just happened?" I ask myself as I scratch my head completely confused

"There you are, how'd it go with Hunter?" Cody asks shaking me from my confusion

"Oh uh good, he gave me a new copy of my itinerary and a map of backstage" I say "I was just going to sit with a coffee and muffin and study them"

"I saw Priest leaving he didn't bother you did he?" He asks

"No not at all, just got him a coffee like I said I would and he was really nice, though he's also a bit of a shit" I chuckle

"You like him" he smiles "I'll support you whatever you choose, just be careful"

"I am being careful" I say "but I don't think he's who you think he is"

"Maybe not but the people he hangs out with are exactly what I think they are" he says
