Neve POV

Standing in the car park staring up at the arena I felt a sense of accomplishment. I had finally made it and had done it my way with no one else's help.
I had worked my ass off working my way up through the indies and it had all paid off. I was here and ready to start a new chapter of my story.

With nervous steps I walk towards the backstage door of the arena at the same gazing around at all the trucks and equipment everywhere "you've made it totally the big time kid" I sayto myself as I take hold of the door handle.

Opening the door I step into the bustling backstage area and start to look through my bag for my itinerary as I walk. Just as I locate the evasive piece of paper the top of my head slams into something, I hear a deep grunt followed by something splashing on the floor.

I slowly lift my gaze taking in the large tattooed arm, the long black sleeveless coat woth spiked shoulders and the features of the most handsome face I had ever laid eyes on. It takes not a second for me to realise I had walked into the man and not only that I had made him spill his coffee.

"I....I am so sorry" I stutter "I was trying to find something........I wasn't looking........I'm so so sorry"

"Hey.........take it easy" he smiles and just like that my knees turn to jelly "it's all good, no one got hurt......you didn't hurt yourself did you?" He asks a look of concern crossing his face

"No....no I'm good" I say "I was trying to find my itinerary so I knew where I'm supposed to go and........oh great" I sigh looking down at the sodden piece of paper in my hand, apparently on its way to the floor the spilt coffee had landed on the paper and it was no illegible.

"Ok how about you tell me where you need to be and I will take you there?" He says "I'm guessing you're new.......are you a rookie?"

"I'm new but I ain't no rookie" I say suddenly finding some confidence "I need to be at Hunter's office, he wants to see me before I get started"

"No problem, I'll take you there now, right this..........."

"Well well well, look what the cat finally dragged in" a familiar voice says jokingly and the biggest smile crosses my face

"Cody!" I gasp before rushing to him.

Damian POV

I watch intently as she rushes to that idiot Cody and literally leaps into his arms. He catches her, laughing as he spins her around wrapping his arms tightly around her.

"I've missed you so much" she says

"I've missed you too" he says neither of them willing to let the other go.

Could it be Mr Squeaky Clean wasn't so squeaky clean? Was he really cheating on his wife?

I mean I couldn't blame him she was beautiful, long dark hair, toned body and crystal blue eyes you could get lost in. She had definitely peaked my interest but I have a feeling she's spoken for although she deserves better than just being someone's affair.

"Who's she?" Rhea asks as she comes to stand beside me

"Don't know, I didn't get her name, she's new" I say my eyes never leaving her

"Hey, don't you dare. That right there, her association with him makes her the enemy" she says "we don't fratenize with the enemy"

"Oh come on you're really going to do the guilty by association thing to her without even meeting her?" I say turning to look at her "she's really nice........she's actually kind of sweet"

"Keep your head in the game Priest and keep her out of it" she says "a friend of his is an enemy of ours.........stay away from her"

Neve POV

"So you finally made it here" Cody smiles as he puts me back down

"You bet your ass I did and I did it my way just like I said I would" I smile

"Be careful who you talk to around here, especially him" he says Nodding towards the man I had just been speaking to

"He was just helping me find Hunter's office" I say

"Just keep him at arms length" he says wrapping an arm around my shoulder to guide me away

"Alright to don't go all brother bear on me for no reason" I say stopping my tracks "so let me have it what's wrong with him? Why don't you want me near him"

"He's part of a faction call Judgment Day, they see me as their enemy because I wouldn't join them" he says "they are not nice. Now I'm not going to stand here and tell you who you can and can't be with I'm just asking that you be careful and approach him with caution"

"You have my word" I say "will you at least tell me his name, at the very least I need to find him later and buy him a coffee to replace the one I made him spill"

"It's Damian.........Damian Priest" he says "wait a second.........you walked into him didn't you? You were routing through your bag whilst walking again, weren't you? He laughs

"I might have been" I say "now take me to Hunter before I'm late on my first day" I say linking my arm with his as we head down the corridor.
